Chapter 3: Number of Demons (10)

It was late at night. Gottfried and Ella fell asleep one after another, while Gregory opened his eyes in the dark.

Without any warning, his body disappeared from the cage. The rope that tied him did not react to what happened. It stagnated in the air for a while before it landed on the ground.

The bandit leader was whispering to a mysterious visitor in the room.

"Duke Otto hopes you can attack this village within a week."

There was a sound of a pile of coins falling on the table in the room.

"This is a thank you gift he asked me to bring. After the matter is completed, there will be more."

Gregory's body appeared outside the room. His eyes were shining with cold light in the darkness.

He had been in the Almani Federation for two years and was very clear about the current situation of the Almani Federation. In the past few decades, due to the attacks of pirates and bandits, more and more self-cultivated farmers in the Almani Federation chose to rely on the nobles for protection, thus becoming serfs in the aristocratic manor.

In the past two years, pirates have become less active, but bandits have become more active. As a powerful lord, Duke Otto has not yet eliminated the bandits here. Others think it is because of the steep terrain here and the vicious bandits, but they do not expect that there is such an inside story inside.

He did not enter the house immediately. It was not until the messenger sneaked down the mountain that he appeared silently before the bandit leader.

The bandit was putting the gold coins covered with the table into the purse. After accidentally turning around, he saw Gregory standing behind him, and was so scared that he sprinkled all the money he had prepared. However, he seemed to have been practicing for a long time. He just swallowed his saliva and calmed down and said with a forced smile: "From what you are showing today, I know you are not an ordinary person. You may be bigger than the 'girl' you said, right? Why, what do you want to say to me?"

"I came here for one thing, that is, to bring you lost you back to the embrace of the only true God."

"The only true god? Are you talking about the god of the Tianfang Empire?" The bandit spitted to the ground, "Who is crazy? Pay attention to that thing."

"But, there are obviously many believers among your men. Otherwise, I would not be able to come here from the village of Brizaya."

Gregory's eyes blinked slowly, and his eyelids fell, as if he had put down a thousand pounds and raised them. He stretched out a hand to the bandit's head and said, "Come here, for the sake of life at this moment, and for the peace after death."

"Life at this moment? Are you saying I will die here?"

The bandit laughed indifferently, then suddenly glared at the eyes and jumped over the table in the room.

"Even if you are the great duke, I'm not afraid! Look at the endless mountains outside. I just need to take my brothers to change places and hide casually. Who can find us? Besides, my brothers are not just a good meal. If there is really an army coming, just kill and retreat."

"The endless mountains?"

Gregory put his face towards the mountain outside the door and spread his hands to both sides. The whole room suddenly shook and threw the bandit leader to the ground. The bandit leader finally got up, but the shaking became more and more intense.

"What's going on? Is it an earthquake..."

Before the bandit leader finished speaking, a huge wave came over outside the door, as if he was about to crush the entire house! The bandit leader felt that his eyes were dark, and then he appeared on another small hill outside the room.

The endless mountains outside the house have now become a sea with huge waves. But this does not mean that the mountain has disappeared, it has not been missing, but the entire mountain has been uprooted and thrown to the sea!

Gregory asked, facing the huge waves and the sea:

"Come and see, is the mountain big?"

The mountains were beaten by huge waves and gradually sank on the sea. The vast mountains seemed so unremarkable on the sea that seemed boundless. Even if the sea swallowed it, it would not leave any trace.

Gregory turned around and looked at the bandit leader. He was so scared that his face turned pale and could not say a word.

"You are beginning to fear the sea, are you? But you must know that even this sea is only a small part of the things God created."

Before the mountain was completely sunk, Gregory clapped his hands. So the mountain returned to its original position, and he and the bandits came to another hill thousands of miles away.

Continuous firelight flashed at the foot of the mountain, extending from the east to the west, and revolving, just like a huge fire snake entangling the world.

"This number is enough to open up the roads across mountains and fill the rivers across water. Look, this is the army. How long can your hills block them?"

The bandit was still in shock and said nothing. So Gregory waved his hand at the fire snake, "I will move your brothers here together and give you a chance to attack them. Do you want to try it?"

The bandit came back to his senses, and took advantage of Gregory's sight to see the mountain and suddenly pulled out a big sword and slashed at Gregory. But when the knife was halfway through, it disappeared for no reason. He was stunned for a moment while holding the knife, and hurriedly stopped, trying to pull out a spare short sword from his waist, but his hand touched around his waist, but he didn't touch anything. He looked down and found that his clothes had been stripped clean at some point, with only a pair of shorts left on his body.

It was not until this time that Gregory slowly turned his body back. His eyes were as sharp as if he could directly penetrate the bandit's body.

The bandit leader was so scared that he knelt down in front of Gregori and begged for mercy.

Gregory sighed: "Are you afraid that I will end your short life, but you are not afraid that you will endure eternal torture in the infinite time after death?"

While speaking, he clapped his hands again. This time, the two of them came to a river. A willow tree grew by the river, and the shimmering river water quietly passed through the shade.

Gregory picked up a broken bowl from the ground, threw the bandit head down and went to the river to scoo up water alone. The bandit head took this opportunity and ran away. He ran with all his strength until he could no longer run. He thought he had finally shook Gregory away and lay on the ground. But what appeared above him was not the sky, but Gregory's face.

He was so scared that he sat up. The willow tree was still beside him, and the river was still under the willow tree. The solid land was covered with tender grass.
