Chapter 20 Another Battlefield (4)
"Why are you here?" Graheide obviously didn't like Osor very much. "This is Movara Niga? What bad things are you trying to do when you come here?"
"Don't be so hostile, brother. At least we have a classmate." Osor smiled, "You know I'm a mercenary, and I'll help anyone who gives the money. The King of Sweden hired me, so why, is it reasonable for me to be here?"
"The King of Sweden hires you? What does the King of Sweden hire you?"
Graheed was full of suspicion. This time, the Swedish king secretly went to the Almani Federation without everyone's concealment. If Haral hadn't sent someone to ask for help, he wouldn't have known that this was the case. It is said that when she left, she didn't even bring a soldier from the pirate kingdom, and even the guards who had been protecting her were discovered for a long time - she refused to take the guards, so why did she hire Osor?
"She said she didn't have enough staff, so she asked me to find a few people to attack Brittania and kidnap the Duke of Brittania."
"Nonsense! The King of Sweden is going to send an envoy to the Federation of Almani this time. How could he be in Britannia? The Pirate Kingdom and Britannia have no grievances, so why did she kidnap the Duke of Britannia?"
"So she's gone now, go to Almany Federation." Osor shrugged, "just leave us on this island to raise pigs."
"Raising pigs?"
"There are now tens of thousands of pigs on the island. What is the Swedish king called them Wudang Flying Pig Army?"
Graheide felt overwhelmed. Osor's series of answers had no logic at all. But here's the question - Osor is a shrewd person and it is impossible to deliberately make up such a loophole-free answer.
"Stop thinking about it. If it weren't for being hired by the King of Sweden, we wouldn't have run to this haunted island." Osor complained, "This island is floating all day long and night, and now I don't know where we have done it, making us afraid to take a boat. I know if we will encounter any sea monsters when we go out to sea. Moreover, the King of Sweden has not yet paid the commission!"
"So," Graheide asked, staring at Osor, "Where is the Swedish king now?"
"Didn't I say that I've gone to the Almani Federation. I guess I've arrived at Versailles now?" Osor looked at the soldiers behind Graheide, "Why, what urgent happened to bring these elite soldiers?"
Graheide decided not to investigate why Osor was here for the time being. He asked the soldiers to moor the boats and then went to the island to find water and food.
Osor followed all the way.
"Brother, what are you here for this time?" He chuckled, "Tell me what you said?"
"This is a Swedish military secret. You are a mercenary and have no right to inquire!"
"Don't lie," Osor said, "You don't even know where the Swedish king is. You can see that you are not ordered by the Swedish king. I think it's just that the blind cat hit a dead mouse and happened to find this island?"
Graheide ignored Osor and continued to walk into the mountains. But Osor was still chattering behind:
"I see, you are taking so many people, and you probably want to do something big. Or, you will also take me and my brothers together? You came by yourself by boat, so you should know which sea area you are in now, right?"
Graheide still ignored Osor.
Osor coughed.
"Grahead, I am so patient when I talk to you. Listen to my advice and exchange information with me, you won't suffer any loss."
"Information?" Graheide stopped and glanced back at Osor, "Do you have any information about the Duke of Aquitaine?"
"It turns out that your target is the Duke of Aquitaine." Osor smiled, "Why, it's the front line that is fighting, are you going to raid the rear by sea? Why are you an Englishman who learn from those pirates when fighting?"
"You just say there is any information?"
"Yes, and there's a lot of intelligence," Osor said. "But the Duke of Aquitaine was also my old customer before, and keeping the customer confidentiality is our basic professional ethics - unless you hire us to fight him."
"If you hire you, don't have to keep the secrets of old customers?"
"All wars are going on, what the hell do I care about professional ethics?"
Graheide gave Osor a blank look and continued to move forward.
"The information I want to talk about is very important to you." Osor said slowly afterwards, "Have you ever heard of a potion that can bring people back to life after drinking a bottle, and can be mass-produced, and has been used in batches?"
Graheide stopped again.
"You mean, the Duke of Aquitaine has this potion?"
"This is the customer's secret." Osor said, "I have to keep my professional ethics."
Graheide had no choice but to hire Osor.
At night, soldiers from Osor and Graheide sat around the campfire together, gnawing on the dried bread and pork. The total number of people on both sides was already 1,500. Among them, Graheide brought all the archers, while Osor's were mainly infantry.
"You are actually going to attack the Duke of Aquitaine with only a few bowmen. Graheide, after becoming the lord of the Pirate Kingdom, your courage is getting bigger and bigger."
"So what about the archers?" Graheide gave Osor a blank look. "My archers can fight your infantry in close combat, do you believe it?"
"Believe it, why don't you? It's very difficult to train your archers. I just feel that the elites trained with great difficulty will lose ten or eight in every fight, which is heartbreaking."
"Don't talk nonsense," said Grahead. "What potion do you say, what's going on?"
"It's what I just said. The Duke of Aquitaine has a potion that after drinking it, no matter how serious the injury is, it can recover. This potion has been used in batches in his army - you know what advantages it will give them on the battlefield."
This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! "How do I know you are not lying?"
"I never lie on intelligence." Osor said seriously, "This is my business, business requires basic professional ethics."
Graheide responded muffled. If what Osor said was true, the battlefield in Anglia would probably not be able to withstand it for long.
"This kind of potion is an extremely precious treasure even in mythology. Why can the Duke of Aquitaine mass produce it? What is its material?"
"As far as I know, this potion was made by an alchemist."
"Alchemist? Then our Swedish king may be able to..."
"She analyzed it and did not come to any results."
"The King of Sweden doesn't know the principle? Who is the alchemist who made this potion?"
"I don't know this."
"Where is that alchemist now?"
"I don't know this either."
"What do you know??? I spent a lot of money to hire you!"
"I know that this alchemist currently lives near the capital of Aquitaine and is constantly providing potions to the Duke of Aquitaine's army." Osor said in a deep voice, "Is this information enough?"
"That's going to happen."
"What? Are you scared?"
"No, the goal is clear," said Graheide. "I have been worried before. How can I do something big after I reach the enemy's rear?"
"Isn't it enough to attack the village?"
"Do you think," Graheide looked at Osor meaningfully, "will any wavering be caused by the attacks of several villages in the territory when the Lord Almani fought on the front line?"
"That's true. Just kill a few serfs and catch the slaves from the front line and replenish them."
