Chapter 13 Trade (3)

Princess Navarra was put into a cage used to detain wild animals. The cage was dragged by a carriage and covered with a white cloth, so that passers-by could not see clearly what was contained inside.

In order to prevent her from screaming, she was shaking and shaking and attracted unnecessary attention, her hands and feet were tied up by ropes, and her mouth was stuffed with a rag. In fact, this was unnecessary. She didn't taste the breakfast delivered by the little maid. In short, she hadn't eaten for two days. Even if she wanted to scream, she couldn't make much noise; even if she wanted to shake, she couldn't make much noise.

She could hear the sound of cars, horses, footsteps, and pedestrians coming from both sides of the cage, which indicated that they were walking on the road, and that the white cloth on the cage could not be taken off for the time being.

So, lunch was gone.

Compared to food, what she needs more is water now. She hasn't drunk water for two days and can't even keep tears.

In the afternoon, Princess Navarra's head had become groggy, she fell into a coma again and again, or had nightmares repeatedly while half asleep and half awake.

At night, the surroundings became quiet and the lid of the cage was finally lifted. Princess Navarra saw the little maid standing in front of her, with bandages still wrapped around her eyes.

Princess Navarra didn't know what she looked like now. Anyway, she must be ugly and dirty, because the little maid's face was full of a sarcastic smile.

"It's so pitiful," she said, "if you could recognize your identity earlier and not be a princess, you wouldn't be a prisoner unless you came to the Principality of Brittany. Even if you had already come, as long as you didn't know anything, the Duke would let you go on a journey of Guangguang now, how could you fall to this point?"

She pulled out the rag from Princess Navara's mouth and handed the food and water in her hands to the cage. But before putting the plate down, she suddenly thought of something, trembled all over, and took back the entire plate.

"By the way... it's all your fault... it's all your fault that you didn't know yourself, so that I made me like this!" Her whole body was trembling, "You still want me to serve you to eat? Lick and eat on the ground like a dog!"

As she said that, she poured all the food and water into the cage. Amid the resentful laughter, the cage was covered with cloth again.

Princess Navarra had no choice. Her arrogance made her refuse to lick on the ground, but her biological instinct made her unconsciously crawl towards the food scattered on the ground. She was so hungry that she stuck out her tongue and greedily licked the food and water, as well as the dust and sand mixed in it. Her tongue was cut by the sharp little stones and blood became delicious food and was swallowed into her stomach.

My stomach was slightly filled. But most of the water I drank ran away, and only slightly relieved my thirst.

Princess Navarra, who had recovered a little bit of sanity, cried in the cage all night.

The next day's breakfast was not there. It was almost noon when the cloth covering the cage was pulled away, and the little maid appeared in front of Princess Navarra with a plate of food.

"Come on, have dinner." The little maid said coldly, and poured out the water and vegetables like before.

Princess Navarra slowly raised her head, and her thirsty throat spitted out an equally dry voice: "Why are you targeting me like this? It is clearly the Duke of Navarra who dug out your eyes. Shouldn't you hate him?"

The little maid laughed sneeringly, as if she had seen a monkey in the zoo.

"Last night, the Duke asked me to go to his tent."

She said this, and said in a show-off tone right in front of Princess Navarra.

"He is very strong. His chest is very warm. He kissed my lips and then kissed me all over. He touched my face and said sorry to me. He said he loved me and said he could keep me by my side so that I would not have to worry about food and clothing. Why do I still hate him?"

Princess Navarra raised her head and stared at the sky with her eyes blankly.

"He also said the word "Love me". At that time, he swears and pointed at the clouds in the sky."

The little maid's face changed suddenly. She smashed the tray on her hand towards Princess Navara, and shouted loudly: "What are you showing off to me? Ah? You are just an animal in a cage now, not even a dog!"

Princess Navarra no longer spoke, but just silently endured the curse of the little maid.

The Duke of Brittany came over and asked the little maid to step down to do his own work, and then greeted Princess Navarra with standard etiquette.

"Simene, this piece of clothing you are already dirty." He said angrily, "If necessary, I can prepare a new set of clothes for you and ask someone to make up your makeup. After all, you are a woman, and no matter when, it is better to be beautiful."

Princess Navarra lowered her head and glanced at the clothes on her body. She didn't notice that the clothes were exactly the one given to her by Carolin. The fabric, which was originally as blue as the sea, had become disgraceful, and the silver wires were dispersed, making it look harsh.

She grinned and shook her head with a dry smile.

The Duke of Brittany's voice was extremely gentle: "Simene, I have no grudges with you. What separates us is just a helpless matter of family and country. As long as you are willing to be obedient and not cause trouble, I can release you from the cage and change you to another servant. In this way, you can at least maintain the dignity of the noble."

"At this point, do you still want to use sweet words to deceive me? Do you still want me to fall in love with you? Do you think of me as that maid? Your ridiculous possessiveness!"

Princess Navarra smiled even more madly.

"Do you think you played with me in your palms? You were wrong! Do you know how much the clothes I wear? Tell you, you have a full baron's title!"

Her laughter attracted everyone around her to watch. Princess Navarra didn't care at all and shouted loudly in the loudest voice as much as possible: "This is given to me by Carolin. Do you think I am your fiancée? Sorry, I am his person long ago. It's just a task he gave me to you! Have you seen me look like I don't wear clothes? He has seen. Have you touched my body? He has touched all the way up and down. Have you kissed me? But the day before yesterday, the lips you kissed were kissing him for no reason! We sing every night, my belly was even pregnant with his child. Finally, he had enough fun before he sent me to you. Do you understand? Who do you think you are? Ah? It's so funny, who do you think you are!"

The Duke of Brittany's face gradually turned pale. Suddenly, he drew his sword. Amid Princess Navarra's scream, he cut the blue dress with a few strokes.

Princess Navarra's clothes fell down, revealing the skin inside - it was so scarred and covered with unfallen scabs, like rocks blown by wind and frost.

The Duke of Brittany smiled relievedly. He waved and called on the soldiers around him:

"Come here, come and see the princess' body! This is the princess, haha, princess! - I bah!"
