Chapter 3 The Ghost
Yu Hao hurriedly pulled the two of them back. The sarcophagus sank down suddenly, leaving only the coffin lid on the ground.
Zhou Pengpeng widened his eyes: "Damn, why is this still sinking! There will be no fraud!"
Bai Jingjing, who had been silent, spoke up and said, "I'll go over and see the situation."
Yu Hao glanced at Bai Jingjing, feeling a little worried about her, and said, "I'll go with you."
Bai Jingjing nodded and went forward to check with Yu Hao. Almost all of the sarcophagus sank into the ground, leaving only a coffin lid exposed to the ground alone, as if it was some kind of authentic cover.
Bai Jingjing squatted down and knocked on the lid of the coffin: "Why does it seem empty below? Why don't we try prying it?"
"Wait!" Zhou Pengpeng carefully looked at the tomb chamber and said nervously: "I think something is wrong. The tomb in Guangxi can open the mechanism of this tomb. And judging from the movement, there must be a big one under the coffin. Otherwise, we should leave the thirty-six strategies."
Yu Hao angrily retorted: "Okay, don't guess it. No matter what, we can't come in vain. Pry it open first. If the situation is not good, we will withdraw."
Zhou Pengpeng looked embarrassed and wanted to say something else. Yu Hao made a gesture of silence at him and called Bai Jingjing forward to open the coffin. This time it was much better, so he pried it open with a little force. The two of them worked together to lift the lid of the coffin.
As soon as the lid of the coffin opened, the corridor extending downwards hidden below was exposed. Bai Jingjing took the flashlight and saw it. The corridor was dark. When the flashlight entered, it could only shine a small staircase in front of her: "What's going on? This is a wolf-eyed flashlight, why can't it light up?"
Yu Hao squatted down, reached out to touch the entrance of the corridor, and looked carefully: "It seems that the light-absorbing material is applied."
Bai Jingjing said, "I'll go down and take a look." While saying that, she was about to take the lead in entering the corridor.
Yu Hao grabbed Bai Jingjing and said, "Be careful that there is danger below. The situation is not certain. Everyone bring the gas mask first. I'll put it down first, my friend, you can cushion it."
Zhou Pengpeng frowned and responded reluctantly.
Bai Jingjing glanced at him and it was the first time she saw such a timid tomb robber.
The corridor was very steep and almost vertical. I don’t know if it was because of the light-absorbing material. The three flashlights combined could only light up a small area. The darkness outside the flashlight was almost thick. The three people’s footsteps were empty in the corridor, overlapping one by one, mixing with an echo to form a strange rubbing sound, as if something heavy was dragging in the dark.
Bai Jingjing's breathing was a little rapid. She had a very serious acrophobia. This almost vertical staircase in the dark made her feel dizzy, nauseous and uncomfortable. Her hands holding the flashlight could not help but tremble slightly. Yu Hao keenly noticed something was wrong with Bai Jingjing. He quietly slowed down and stood side by side with Bai Jingjing, saying: "What's wrong with you?"
"It's okay, I just feel a little uncomfortable." Bai Jingjing's voice was a little fluttering.
Zhou Pengpeng said behind him, "Hey Jingjing, what's wrong with you? Why don't you feel uncomfortable? Why don't we go forward and rest before getting down." The voice was trembling with a difficult sense of tremor. He walked alone at the back, his hair standing upright on his body. He always felt that something was following him in the sluggish footsteps, and he had long wanted to give up.
Bai Jingjing's heart was almost in her throat, but she still insisted on showing weakness: "I'm fine, I'll be fine in a while."
Seeing that Bai Jingjing's face looked very ugly, Yu Hao felt a little reluctant. After all, he was still a little girl, and said softly: "If it really doesn't work, don't force it."
Bai Jingjing shook her head: "I can do it if I don't need it."
Seeing this, Yu Hao didn't say anything else. This little girl was quite stubborn.
I don’t know if it was the slowness brought by the darkness, but the three of them felt that they had been walking for a long time before they reached the end of the corridor. The end of the corridor was a huge bronze door, which almost filled the space at the end of the corridor. The bronze door was not exquisite, and it was carved with some rough ore patterns, and there were some mottled rust. A large copper lock firmly copied the secret behind the bronze door.
Yu Hao carefully checked it and found no mechanism, but he carefully took out the engineer shovel from his bag, greeted the two people behind him, and avoided the blind spot of the copper door together, and used the engineer shovel to tentatively push the copper door.
This front door may contain a mechanism and it will be triggered. Fortunately, the copper door did not respond. Yu Hao breathed a sigh of relief, stepped forward to check the copper lock, and confirmed that there was no mechanism, so he directly used hydraulic pliers to break the copper lock.
He then asked Zhou Pengpeng to push the door forward. The bronze door, which had been locked up for many years, was very important and difficult to push. After finally pushing open a narrow space, he couldn't push it. Zhou Pengpeng and his two shoulders pressed against the bronze door with their shoulders, their faces were red, and their necks were thick and they couldn't move for a long time.
Zhou Pengpeng said: "No, is there something blocking the door behind this door?"
Yu Hao raised his flashlight and swept it inside, his vision was limited and he could not see anything.
Bai Jingjing, who was on the side, squeezed forward and said, "I'll go in and take a look."
After saying that, without waiting for the two of them to react, they squeezed into the gap that was pushed open by the copper door. After entering the copper door, Bai Jingjing called the flashlight and shone behind the door, and she couldn't help but be stunned.
My God, this... this is a ghost!
Bai Jingjing looked at the thing in front of her and felt extremely shocked and her whole body was filled with cold air.
Yu Hao outside the door saw that Bai Jingjing had been in for a long time and didn't move at all. He was a little surprised and took the flashlight to the gap: "Jingjing, Jingjing, how is it inside?"
Zhou Pengpeng leaned into the gap and said worriedly: "Jingjing has been in for a long time, why haven't she come out yet? Brother Hao, why don't you go in and take a look."
Yu Hao gave him a blank look: "I'll go in and take a look? What about you?"
Zhou Pengpeng smiled and touched his head: "Aren't I fat? I can't get in, so I'm here to give you some wind."
Yu Hao sneered: "If you can't get in, can I go in?"
As he was talking, Bai Jingjing offered her out of the gap.
Zhou Pengpeng hurriedly approached with a caring look on his face: "Jingjing, what's going on inside?"
Bai Jingjing looked a little unhesitant and frowned and said, "There is something behind the door blocking it." After a pause, she looked back at the crack in the door, her face became even more ugly, and she added, "Several people pushed the door outward."
As soon as Bai Jingjing said the words, both of them were stunned, and the atmosphere suddenly became a little strange.
Zhou Pengpeng was shocked and stuttered in panic: "What, what! People?!"
Yu Hao was also a little surprised: "Jingjing, please make it clear, what does someone push the door out?"
Bai Jingjing swallowed her saliva and said with lingering fear: "It's not human, it's the corpses of three men. I've seen them all filled with mercury corpses, very hard, and they were against the wall behind them, and they were pushing the door outward. We pushed it to this angle, and their hands just hit the door, so they couldn't block them."
Zhou Pengpeng breathed a sigh of relief, and was shocked and sent it to him. His fat face was a little distorted: "It's a dead person, oh, Jingjing, you said half of what you said, almost scared me to death."
Yu Hao also breathed a sigh of relief. Bai Jingjing was speechless and sweated in vain.
Bai Jingjing's expression was still not relaxed, and she continued, "But those three dead people were all smiling and grinning."
