Chapter 1473: Conferred God Matters

"Abide by His Majesty's will."

Reading the Dharma Imperial is a relatively important part of the process of enthroning the gods. The formation of the priesthood is not just a kind of enthronement by the Emperor of Heaven. If you have the ability, you can form your own priesthood by yourself. Just like the gods in the two sects of Buddhism and Taoism.

Of course, doing this is risky, and the risk is not small. Because if you do this, it is like taking a mountain under the rule of the central court to become a king. This is not only a provocation to the supreme ruler, but also a challenge to the entire collective in power. Any strict ruling class will never allow such a thing to happen.

In other words, the Heavenly Court ruled by the Jade Emperor was too weak and almost held hostage by Taoist and Buddhist sects, which allowed them to have so many guardian gods in private. But even if the Jade Emperor was so incompetent, the enthronement of those heavy gods still had to go through the Heavenly Court and through his hands in a formal way.

This is the difference between righteousness and the gap in official certification. Without the edict from the Heavenly Court, even if you become a god, you are just a wild god, hairy god. Everyone will be punished and will be beaten to death sooner or later. Therefore, as long as you are a little enlightened, no one is willing to do this. Most of them will pursue an edict from the Heavenly Court to seek the identity of the righteous god of the Heavenly Court.

It can be said that it is precisely because of this formal demand that reading the Decree of the Gods has become a very important step.

Because this not only means that you have been granted a god, but more importantly, you have been recognized by the Emperor of Heaven and obtained the qualifications of the Heavenly Court. The difference between them and the Gods of Heaven has changed from potential hostile relationships to colleagues. Of course, the difference between them is different.

In the past, most of those who read out this kind of decree of the gods were Taibai Venus, but now, Taibai Venus is definitely impossible to serve Zhou Yi. So this burden fell on Zhang Daoling. As the leader of a sect, Zhang Daoling happened to be one of the few people in the Heavenly Court who knew ancient divine literature. So he would not make any mistakes, and he could not even complete the tasks assigned by the Emperor of Heaven.

When he opened the imperial edict of Feng's Divine Law and saw the divine text above, he was stunned at first, and then quickly said with a smile on his face.

"According to the imperial edict of Emperor Taiyi, Zhao Huixian is now the King of King Renyou, and the King of Erlang, Yang Jian. He is loyal and righteous, and is brave and strong. He is specially appointed as the Emperor of Zhenwu Demons, in charge of the northern starry sky, in charge of the fortune and longevity, and leads the affairs of the Heavenly Officials of the Doujun, preside over all the righteous affairs of the heavenly affairs of the heavenly heaven. He is granted the title of Mount Sumeru, and the Bodhisattva Arhats of the Western Heaven Buddhists should obey his orders. And he is so proud!"

There was no problem in front of this edict, but later, the section where the title of Mount Sumeru was in charge of the Bodhisattva Arhat in the Western Heaven Buddhist Sect was really surprised. Even Zhang Daoling did not expect that Zhou Yi, the Emperor of Heaven, would have done this in the end, and he thought Zhou Yi had already planned to let the Buddhist sect go!

Of course, as the leader of the Taoist sect, Zhang Daoling did not object to Zhou Yi's approach. He even said that he would not only not object, but he was even happy to see it happen.

The two sects of Buddhism and Taoism are very dirty, and they have already formed many enemies over the years. Although Buddhism has fallen and even Buddha has disappeared, this does not mean that the Taoist sect will sympathize with him and will let him go because of pity.

The dispute over Taoism always requires bayonets to reach blood. For example, in this scene, they will not have any sympathy at all. Instead, they will try their best to add to the insults and completely suppress Buddhism to the point of destruction.

Buddhism itself knew this. So when the edict was recited, many people had no time to react, and Guanyin was the first to respond to Zhou Yi.

"The Buddhist wishes to obey Your Majesty's will."

At this moment, Guanyin Bodhisattva was still kneeling in the hall, as if she was still begging Zhou Yi to let the Buddhist sect go. On the surface, Zhou Yi did not seem to have given her any reply. But she knew in her heart that when Zhou Yi conferred Mount Sumeru to Yang Jian and asked him to command the Bodhisattvas and Arhats of the Buddhist sect, it actually meant that he planned to let the Buddhist sect go. Although there were some humiliation and ridicule in it, compared to survival, what was the mere humiliation?

Now is not the time to care about these humiliations. Once you care about this and start to resist because of this, then the Buddhist sect, which is already in desperate situation, will immediately fly and fall into the abyss that will never be restored. Not to mention that doing so will anger a terrible person like the Emperor of Heaven, even the subsequent suppression and persecution of the Taoist sect will be enough to cause a devastating blow to the Buddhist sect.

At this time, Buddhism could no longer bear any blows. So instead of doing such a self-destructive thing, it would be better to take a step back and accept the arrangements of the Emperor of Heaven. At the very least, doing so can also get the protection of the Emperor of Heaven and offset the suppression of the Emperor of Heaven to a certain extent.

It can be said that in a different way, Guanyin calculated all the interests clearly. She immediately chose the most beneficial option for her and the entire Buddhism. Of course, her choice was impossible to get everyone's support. It is conceivable that there must be many people in the Buddhist community who are opposed to her approach. But at this time, she no longer cared about the objections of these people.

She is the leader of the four great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism, and the most powerful person in the entire Buddhism except for the Buddha Tathagata. In this regard, she is qualified to command Buddhism and make decisions for Buddhism at this moment. In her own opinion, she is the leader of Buddhism now. Even if someone does not accept her and is unwilling to admit her identity, she must not change this point, that is, the Buddhist truth is in her hand now.

She and her supporters are the key to the existence of Buddhism. As long as they exist, Buddhism has hope and a future. Under such a premise, if some people continue to be stubborn, they are unwilling to admit the facts and the current situation of Buddhism that is no longer the same as before. Then she doesn't mind taking some measures to abandon the car and keep the hero off his arm.

People who cannot see the reality clearly are not qualified to survive in today's Buddhist temples. Losing the Buddha of Tathagata and the Western Paradise. Buddhism is almost equivalent to losing its biggest trump card. They no longer have the ability to support those wastes who only know how to recite scriptures and talk about Buddhas, but have no real value.

If Buddhism wants to survive, it must get rid of the excess burden and get rid of the burden. The so-called era of putting down the butcher's knife and becoming a Buddha immediately, chanting Amitabha Buddha, you can go to the Pure Land by going. Buddhism needs streamlining, and the real talents needed by Buddhism. And these people who cannot see the reality clearly, those who only know how to speak empty words but will not make any contributions are the targets to be eliminated.

Guanyin's decisiveness exceeded Zhang Daoling's expectations. He originally thought that these Buddhist disciples would choose to resist, which would give him some excuses to suppress Buddhism. However, things were not what he thought. Guanyin chose to obey in the fastest way, and this obedience also made all his ideas fall into nothing. This really made him feel a little regretful.

However, although he was sorry, Zhang Daoling didn't take it too seriously. Because at this time, there were more important things that he needed to pay attention to.

The Emperor of Zhenwu Demons is the highest position that ordinary people can achieve among the Zhoutian God mentioned in the Taoist Sect. He is the highest level of gods among the Taoist Sect’s guardian gods, and the highest level of gods that the entire Taoist forces can install in the heavenly court.

Don’t talk about the Three Pure and Four Controls, the Three Pure and Four Controls are not something that ordinary people can regard as a prestigious. Rather than saying that the Three Pure and Four Controls are the forces of the Taoist sect, it is better to say that the Three Pure and Four Controls are special products of the Taoist sect during its development and entanglement with the Heavenly Court.

This can be seen by looking at the identity of the Three Pure Ones and Four Imperials. The existence of the two concepts is an ancestral thinker. Almost all the remaining human emperors and gods from ancient times. Whether there is a Taoist sect, they are there, and no one can avoid them. So it is not so much that the Taoist sect that made them successful, but rather that they made the Taoist sect.

In other words, with these ancient powerful people, the Taoist sect can rebuild the heavenly court today after the collapse of the ancient heavenly court. Without them, the Taoist sect would not have the same glory as today. Therefore, the Taoist sect is powerless to do anything to the Three Pure Ones and Four Emperors. Apart from offering them to worship, they have no other way to deal with them.

And it is precisely because of this that the Zhenwu Demon Emperor became the supreme divine position that the Taoist sect can use. So if possible, Zhang Daoling really didn't want to take out this priesthood.

The Taoist sect has always regarded this priesthood as a forbidden corpse. In order to win over the immortals of the ancient times, they could even give up the position of Emperor Shenxiao Jiuchen, but they still held the Zhenwu Demon Emperor in their hands and let Laojun clone take over it and did not easily give up others. What is the purpose? It is not to one day that the Taoist sect will produce a wonderful and beautiful person so that they can take down this position in one fell swoop.

This is for one's own people, not for outsiders. The so-called fat water does not flow into the outsiders' fields, and the meat must be rotten in a stew pot. That's the reason. If it weren't for the forced force of Zhou Yi, the Emperor of Heaven, and Yang Jian's special identity, Zhang Daoling would have been reluctant to do this.

However, after doing everything, he could only admit it. Now he only hopes that Yang Jian can bear his affection, and fortunately, he will help them in the future. This will not be in vain for him to give up this god position. Of course, there is another premise in this way that Yang Jian can successfully become the Emperor of Zhenwu Demon. In Zhang Daoling's view, this is not a big problem.

After reading the Dharma Edict, the so-called Dharma Edict of the Gods had turned into a stream of light and directly penetrated into Yang Jian's body. At this time, Yang Jian suddenly had a strange phenomenon, which seemed different from the past.
