20. No drinking in the future

chapter

The manniu was not there, and the weather was cold. Du Ruo was a little lazy and didn't want to cook, so he went to find a pottery jar, poured the duck soup left over yesterday into the jar, grabbed a few handfuls of rice, and cut some fine dishes into the room. He put the pottery jar on the copper grate on the charcoal basin and slowly boiled it. He sat under the window to make needles and threads.

Du Ruo made her own modified underwear. She originally wanted several of them, but they were torn apart by Manniu. I don’t know what his problem was. She would pull one to stop her every time, making her make a new one.

Practice makes perfect. After practicing for a few months, Du Ruo's female needleworkers have made great progress. They can't help but make similar things. They can also embroider some simple patterns, such as peach blossoms, plum blossoms, or a few bamboo leaves, which look much better than before. Of course, too complicated patterns can't be done.

After embroidering a plum blossom, the porridge in the clay pot also rolled up. When the lid was opened, the room was filled with the fragrance of old duck porridge. Du Ruo took a long-handled bamboo spoon from the side and stirred it. He put the clay pot down with a thick felt cloth. He pulled apart the copper comb and buried the charcoal fire at the bottom. He put the clay pot back. The clay pot was bubbling slowly with small bubbles, so he went to embroider the flowers. After embroidering another plum blossom, the clay pot was boiled.

Du Ruo threw the cut vegetables in, put them in a bowl, and tasted them without burning them. He nodded. The fragrant duck soup and the old duck porridge made from newly produced rice back then were delicious, which was much more delicious than the old duck porridge she had eaten in a well-known porridge shop.

Du Ruo ate two bowls of old duck porridge, and his body became hot. He opened the window and looked out. It was snowing just in September. No wonder she heard a rustling sound. She stretched out her hand to take the snow particles. It was cold and turned into water in a short while.

Du Ruo suddenly remembered that there seemed to be half a jar of yellow wine left in the stove shed, and he could drink while enjoying the snow. Thinking of this, he got up and went out to get the jar in, put it directly on the copper comb of the charcoal fire to warm it up, and took a sip. The aged flower carvings became more mellow and delicious after being warmed.

Du Ruo stood on the window, looked at Xue Jing for a while and took a sip of wine. Before she knew it, it became dark. She was also a little drunk, not even knowing that people came in. It was not until someone was taken back to the couch that she opened her drunken eyes, glanced at it, and giggled: "Manniu, you are back. Don't you say you have to go for several days? Why did you come back so early?"

The man glanced at the empty jar of wine beside him and couldn't help but frowned: "Why have you eaten so much wine?"

Du Ruo pointed out the window: "Of course I have to drink when it snows. I tell you, I had a wish to live in the mountains for a long time ago. When the first snow falls in winter, I eat wine and listen to the snow. I thought I had to wait until I retire to realize it. I didn't expect that God made my dream come true so soon. Hahaha, do you think my luck is good... When you speak, don't pretend to be mute, don't pretend to be mute..." He stretched out his hand and rubbed it on his face.

The man grabbed her little hand and looked at her for a while: "What is retirement?"

Du Ruo giggled again: "You are stupid. You don't know if you retire, you just need to do nothing."

Man: "You said you wanted to live in the mountains a long time ago? Why?"

Du Ruo: "What's the reason? The air on the mountain is good and the scenery is good. There are not so many troubles about intrigues. You can do whatever you want. No one cares about me, so you are so comfortable."

Man: "Was anyone bullying you when he was in the Lu Mansion?"

Du Ruo waved his hand: "What Lu's Lu Mansion is here? I don't know. If I'm sleepy, don't bother me, I'm going to sleep." As he said that, he automatically retracted into his arms, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Du Ruo woke up only after he was born. When he woke up, he felt uncomfortable all over. She knew that she was sick. She probably was watching the snow and the cold wind blew. She remembered vaguely that it seemed that Manniu had returned. She felt that someone had taken her pulse. Du Ruo thought it was Manniu, but opened her eyes but saw a strange handsome face, about twenty years old, with handsome eyebrows and broad eyes, elegant and gentle, like a scholar.

When he met Du Ruo's eyes, there was curiosity and joking in the man's eyes: "You're awake."

Du Ruo: "Who are you?"

The man raised his eyebrows and did not answer Du Ruo, but turned his head to look at the side: "Good question, who am I?"

Du Ruo saw the Manniu next to him and couldn't help but say, "Don't you say how many days it will take to return to the cavalry camp? Why are you back so soon?"

Manniu: "I'm back after finishing the matter."

The man just now said, "I'm lucky to be back. If you have a few days left, your life will be gone. Even if you miss Brother Jingtian, you won't be able to think about it and freeze yourself to death."

Manniu: "Su Ming, you go out first." The man blinked at Du Ruo and turned around and went out.

Du Ruoxin said that this man looked good, but even though he looked a little sloppy, he didn't know where Manniu found such a person? It depends on the situation.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but say, "He is the doctor you found to treat me?"

Manniu nodded: "You are hot at night and keep talking nonsense, so I called Su Ming to come and see you." He paused: "Did you drink with the window because you miss me?"

Du Ruo looked at him and suddenly felt that Manniu felt so good. He actually felt that he was drinking with the window open because he missed him. He wouldn't think he was deliberately frostbite? He was so unwilling to think about it.

No matter how you think about it, it might be good. Satisfied with his sense of self-satisfaction may be more beneficial to him.

Thinking of this, he nodded and shook his head, biting his lip without saying a word. Du Ruo guessed that his reaction would also be able to satisfy Manniu's psychology best.

But Du Ruo was wrong this time. The man just frowned and said, "Don't eat alcohol in the future." He turned around and went out.

Du Ruo was shocked. Is his modern mind unable to be synchronized with ancient men? Why did he react differently from what he expected? Su suddenly remembered that the doctor named Su Ming was named Manniu Jingtian. Is this the name of Manniu? This name is quite domineering.

Just as he was thinking, Manniu walked in and held a bowl of black medicine in his hand. Du Ruo sighed. It was true that he was so cruel that he could not live. He had known that he would not appreciate the snow yesterday.

However, health is still the most important thing, so Du Ruo did not hesitate to drink the medicine soup. The smell made Du Ruo miss modern cold medicine very much.

Although the bitter medicine soup is not good, it is very effective. After drinking it, I slept for one night and got better the next day. When I recovered from the illness, I felt hungry. Du Ruo did not compliment Manniu's cooking skills, so he got up to make a fire and cooked.

Du Ruo first threw the dried bamboo shoots and dried meat into water and boiled them to make the taste. He grabbed two handfuls of rice and placed them on the mud stove next to him to simmer. He started making egg bread rice on the big stove. He spread a few thin egg cakes and put them aside. He put the leftover rice from last night in the pot and fryed it in the egg cake. He cut a large bowl of fine shredded radish, grabbed some frosting and ordered vinegar, which was the most appetizing side dish.

After packing up, the porridge on the mud stove was almost done. When I brought it to the table, I looked up and saw the doctor named Su Ming yesterday, looking at him with a strange look, and couldn't help but say, "Why are you still here?"

Su Ming raised his eyebrows: "You are not cured of illness, I can't go down the mountain."

Du Ruo: "My illness has been cured."

Su Ming just pretended not to hear it, stared at the table with his eyes straight, and couldn't help swallowing: "What kind of food is this? Have you never seen it before?"

Du Ruoxin said, it would be right that you have never eaten it. Seeing that he was so greedy, it was funny, so he handed him chopsticks: "This is egg bread rice. Doctor Su would try it if he didn't dislike it."

As soon as Du Ruo finished speaking, Su Ming had already picked it up and put it in his mouth. An egg bread rice was in his stomach in a blink of an eye and nodded: "This egg bread rice is really a top-notch dish."

Du Ruopu laughed: "Thank you for your support."

Su Ming also laughed and suddenly said, "No wonder Brother Jingtian is happy on the mountain."

Speaking of Manniu, he didn't see it when he woke up early. Du Ruo turned his head and saw that the hatchet hanging on the wall had disappeared. He knew that Manniu had gone up the mountain to chop wood, so he put two bowls of porridge out, pushed one bowl to Su Ming, buried some fire on the mud stove, and divided another egg rice for Su Ming. He ate one by himself, and put the remaining two next to the mud stove, so he went to feed the ducks and the three pheasants.

The chicken coops and duck houses are all newly built by Manniu. They can survive the winter, but the ducks are quite honest, but the three pheasants are croaking and croaking happily.

Su Ming followed the pheasant in the nest and said in surprise: "Do you know this is a pheasant?"

Du Ruo glanced at him: "Isn't the golden pheasant a chicken?"

Su Ming: "It's just the first time I've seen someone raise eggs."

Du Ruo: "I want to raise eggs, which is more useful than these three chickens that are useless to eat and drink eggs."

Su Ming coughed: "Don't you know that this pheasant only has eggs once a year."

Du Ruo was stunned: "I have been in vain for several months." As he said that, he looked at the three pheasants in the chicken coop, and immediately became jealous, wondering if he would slaughter these three chickens and stew mushrooms tomorrow.

The three pheasants seemed to know Du Ruo’s thoughts, and shrank into the corner and looked at Du Ruo with caution.

Su Ming looked funny and couldn't help but say, "Although it's not enough to lay eggs, this golden pheasant is extremely precious. If it is sold on the market, a brightly colored golden pheasant can be sold at least 100 taels of silver."

Du Ruo's eyes lit up: "One hundred taels? Is the silver true or false?"

Su Ming: "Why do you want to ask me about this? You don't lack money?"

Du Ruo: "Who told you that I don't lack money?"

Su Ming was about to say something, but Manniu came back, but when he saw Su Ming still frowned: "Why are you still here?"
