Chapter 14 Who is the real murderer

Silver spread the notebook he got from Harry on the table and looked carefully. There was nothing unusual about the notebook. Opening the ragged black cover, there was a vague name written in ink on the first page: Tom Riddle. Apart from that, there was no handwriting left on the notebook, and every page was blank.

"Be careful, this notebook has a wicked atmosphere." Doris reminded.

"I know, this notebook is one of Voldemort's Horcruxes," Silver said. "The soul in this Horcrux has absorbed enough energy and it is trying to seduce me."

"Since you know, why do you still have to put this Horcrux here? Don't overestimate your willpower. Few wizards can truly resist the influence of the Horcrux, not to mention that the soul in this Horcrux is not an ordinary soul."

"Because this notebook is very useful, you have to count on it if you can open the secret room." Silver said with a smile. "You are right. If you keep it by your side every day, I will be somewhat affected." Silver took out his wand and said, "But I only plan to take a little from this Horcrux and then put it back to its original place. Doris, I need your help."

"Well, I declare in advance that I am not very proficient in the soul-level things-"

Hogwarts Principal’s Office.

"Professor Fleevy, is there anything you have to bring Jack Silver to me?" Dumbledore said tiredly, "If it's not a big deal, let's talk about it later. Lucius caused me a lot of trouble-"

"Professor Dumbledore, I asked Professor Fleevy to bring me here to tell you that I have confirmed the murderer of three attacks. I believe this news can help you." Silver replied calmly.

"Oh, please say." Dumbledore seemed a little surprised.

"First, let's recall the common points of the three attacks. The first point is that all the victims were petrified but did not die. The second point is that Harry Potter is near the scene of the crime."

"Jack, you don't want to say that Harry is the murderer, right?" Professor Flevy said.

"Of course not. What I want to say is that Harry would hear strange sounds near the murder scene, and the people with him said they could not hear them. What is the sound that Harry could hear but others could not hear? Last time in the duel club, Harry showed his serpentine's ability - this problem was solved. The sound was snake language, so Harry could hear but others could not hear them, which means that the murderer was a snake. The legend of the secret room has a long history, and it can even be traced back to the founding of Hogwarts. This snake must have lived very long, at least for nearly a thousand years. And the lifespan is the only creature that can cause this level of petrification."

"Babystic?" Dumbledore took a breath, "Hagi told me that all the roosters raised in the school were killed."

"The Basilisk is huge, how did it wander around the school and attack others?" Professor Flevy asked the question.

"I think it must have moved through the school pipeline, Harry said, the sound came from the walls," Silver replied.

"The Basilisk can kill people through their eyes, and those who look at the Basilisk will die. But none of them died in these three attacks - because none of them looked at it directly. Colin saw it through the camera. Justin should have seen the Basilisk through Nick who was almost headless. Nick was stared at by the Basilisk, but he could not die for the second time. Mrs. Loris should have seen the Basilisk's reflection through the water that gushed out of the bathroom."

"A snake monster that has lived for nearly a thousand years is completely beyond the scope of ordinary wizards, so I think it would be better to let Professor Dumbledore solve this problem." Silver concluded his speech.

"Thank you very much for your message, Jack. Your message can save poor Hagrid from prison, and can also make Lucius' plan come back in vain." Dumbledore said with a smile.

Professor Flevy seemed surprised: "Hagir? Does the Ministry of Magic suspect that this was done by Hager?" "Yes, Fudge just sent me a letter saying that it was forced by the situation and he had to let Hager go to Azkaban for a while. Lucius also took this opportunity to intimidate several of Hogwarts' school managers and asked the school board to come forward and pressure me to resign."

"No--"

"It's okay, Professor Flevy, with the information provided by Mr. Silver, these things cannot be as they wish." Dumbledore's tone suddenly became serious. "A thousand-year-old basil monster, Fox, prepare for a early Nirvana, I'm afraid you have to use your power this time." Dumbledore looked at the ugly bird behind the door on the tall gilded branch. The ugly bird screamed weakly to express his response, but this action caused several feathers to fall off its half-bald tail, which looked particularly funny. The three of them couldn't help laughing.

At this time, in a boy's dormitory in Gryffindor, a black-haired boy suddenly sat up from the bed, sweating profusely, and trembling all over. A red-haired boy walked in outside the door: "What's wrong? Harry."

"I got it, thanks to the notebook Jack sent back today - it was Hager, Ron. Fifty years ago it was Hager who opened the secret room."

BASILISK (Basilist)

Magical Category Level: XXXXX

The first recorded basilisk was bred by the "despicable Heerbo", a Greek black wizard who was snake-like. After many experiments, this person found that after hatching a small rooster egg (a magic egg laid by a seven-year-old rooster when Sirius was in the sky) under a toad body, a dangerous snake with extraordinary abilities would be hatched.

The snake monster is a big snake with dazzling green body, with a body length of up to fifty feet. The male snake has a bright red feather on its head. Its fangs are extremely toxic, but its most dangerous attack method is to stare at the target being attacked with its big yellow eyes. Anyone's eyes will die in an instant as long as it touches its eyes.

If the food is sufficient (the basil monster eats all mammals, birds and many reptiles), the snake will live a very long life. People think that the "despicable Haierbo" basil monster will live almost nine hundred years old.

Since the Middle Ages, creating the Basilisk has been regarded as illegal, but this behavior is easily concealed because it is enough to remove the little rooster egg from under the toad before the Magical Biology Management Control Department arrives. However, no one can do anything except being controlled by the Snake Mandarin, so they are not only dangerous to others, but also to most black wizards. In Britain, there has been no record of witnessing the Basilisk for at least four hundred years.
