Chapter 38 Skuma

"This seems to be Skuma." Silver took the bag of powdery items in Hermione's hand. He opened the bag, took out some powder and sniffed it, and then shook off the powder.

Montongus closed his eyes with distress.

Silver looked at Montongus with a smile, "This is really Skumar, and it's the kind of high-quality one, with a very high purity. Montongus, where did you get this treasure?"

Montongus laughed dryly and said, "Haha, Master Jack is really good at joking. How could this be Skuma? Although I, Montongus, usually sells a little contraband of edge balls, it is just a harmless gadget like salamander eggs. How could he do Skuma's business? Mr. Jack must have admitted his mistake, this is not Skuma."

"Oh? I admit my mistake?" Silver weighed the thing in his hand, "Then if this thing wasn't Skuma, then what was it?"

"This is - this is a new drug I just bought from my Indian friend, which can refresh myself." Montongus argued.

"Is that so? Then I'll take this to the Aurors in the anti-drug department. They are experts in this industry." Silver seemed to be telling a very common thing, "If it's a new refreshing drug that is harmless to the human body, I can help you sell this drug better."

"Please don't do this." Montongus said with horror, "Master Jack, please, I, Montongus, have never offended you."

Silver shook the things in his hand, "So what are these?"

"Yes - it's Skuma, I got it from a tiger man from Alaska." Montongus said dejectedly, "I've been so poor lately that I want to do some big business."

"This is indeed a big business, Montongus." Silver weighed Skuma in his hand, "This Skuma is enough for you to spend the rest of your life in Azkaban."

"Master Jack, you won't report me, right?" Montongus begged pitifully, "Old Dunge is just a moment of confusion and has no bad intentions."

His voice was sad, and even Hermione couldn't bear it.

"Okay, stop pretending, Montongus." Silver snorted, "Anyone who has something to do with Skumar is a felony. I can't just pretend that nothing has happened."

Montongus seemed to have grabbed the life-saving straw, "Master Jack, do you need any help from Old Dunge?"

"Help? You're not helping me, you're saving your own life." Jack Silver took the baguakuma into his arms, "How many more do you have?"

"No - no, there's only that small bag. I don't have the experience of shipping this kind of goods. I dare not buy more goods. You have seen it just now. The male hospitality in the Pig Head Bar is not willing to help me ship it."

"This is because he is much smarter than you, Montongus." Silver said with a smile. "Skuma is not something that anyone can touch."

"Jack, what is Skumar you are talking about? Why haven't I heard of it?" Hermione finally couldn't help but speak.

"This is a drug, Hermione," said Silver. "It has a very addictive and hallucinatory nature. Even dragons and giants with special constitutions cannot resist this drug. Because of its danger, they are listed as ss-level banned substances. Any wizard who trades Skuma, once caught, is awaiting him for life."

"I never knew that the teachers had never said such things in potions and herbal classes!"

"Because once you know, there will always be people who can't help trying it, so the fewer people know this kind of thing, the better. Skumar's raw material Moon Candy was originally a precious seasoning for the tiger people. Moon Candy became Skumar after 49 complicated purification processes. This thing destroyed several races, and some promising wizards." Silver narrowed his eyes, "Where is the tiger man who sold you Skumar? He must have left you the contact information and tell me!"

"I don't know, Master Jack," said Montongus. "I just ran into the tiger man who claimed to be from Alaska, who sold me these Skumas at a very cheap price."

"Because no matter whether you sell it to someone else or use it yourself, the next time you go to him, it will be a few dozen times the price." Silver said coldly, "Tell me quickly, that tiger man must have left you with his contact information. If you don't want to spend the rest of your life in Azkaban, just tell me honestly. I don't think Dumbledore will help you with a Skuma dealer like you."

"But I really don't have his contact information-" Montongus looked at Silver whose face became ugly and immediately shut up. "Wait, let Old Dunge think about it."

"By the way, Old Dunge remembered." Montongus patted his head, "When the tiger man left, he said that if he still wanted Skuma, I could go to the Cloak Alley to find him next new moon." (To be continued...)
