Chapter 2 The Lonely Island

Tang Ke browsed the gray system interface again, and it seemed that it was about to be completed. He looked forward to the help of this game system. The ship is short of water and food, and it is not known where the land is located, which is all a big trouble.

This progress has risen very slowly. After so many days, it has slowly risen to 90%.

He turned off the picture in his mind and looked at the endless sea. The sky had become cloudy and there was a heavy layer of gray on the sea. He sat in the guardrail, holding the only fishing rod on the boat in his hand, hoping to catch something to eat.

The ship has very scarce supplies, only this fishing rod. The chances of fishing can be caught while the boat is running are minimal, but it is impossible to stop the boat. No one will expect to use a fishing rod to replenish it. If there is a fishing net, it is almost the same.

A group of unknown fish flew out of the sea, with a pair of transparent wings. They pierced into the sea in arcs and flew out quickly, splashing waves of water.

Looking at the scenery in the sea, Tang Ke felt that being a pirate was also good, and a free life was exactly what he yearned for.

"Young guys, it's so quiet, sing it for me!" Tang Ke shouted in a blunt voice.

The vicious sailors quickly responded to the captain's order and howled in a rough voice: "We are pirates, fierce pirates. They hold wine bottles in their left hand and treasures in their right hand. We are pirates, pirates with abilities. Beautiful girls, please come to my arms..."

What a bunch of straightforward bad guys.

Tang Ke smiled. He liked these men very much. Over the days, he had talked to every sailor, hoping to ask for some clues, but these sailors didn't have much memory, they only knew that they were sailors.

Tangke inferred that these sailors might have been created by the game, and like him, they knew nothing about the world.

A sudden pulling force came from the fishing rod in his hand, and almost couldn't catch the fishing rod, and his body staggered. He was not surprised but happy. After fishing for so many days, this was the first time that a fish bit the hook. He held the fishing rod tightly, pulled it back hard, and kicked his feet on the guardrail to leverage the force.

Since he arrived in this world, his strength has increased a lot, but he still has not been able to pull up the fishing rod, which shows how strong the fish bites the hook.

"Come and help me!" Tang Ke yelled with red face.

The sailors came over when they heard the sound. Everyone grabbed the fishing rod together, and then turned the situation around. Under the pull of the two forces, the fishing line was tightened, and the fishing rod also hung down, showing a breaking posture.

"The fishing line is about to break, let it go!" Tang Ke said anxiously. He let go of his hand and asked the other sailors to continue to pull it. He ran to grab a rope and tied it to the harpoon. When he ran back, he almost fell on the slippery deck.

After the fishing line was longer, the tension was relieved. A dark shadow swam in the sea, constantly turning his head and struggling to fight the fishing line.

Tang Ke was fierce and threw the harpoon at the black shadow. He missed a blow. He pulled the harpoon out of the sea with a rope and threw it again. After the harpoon fell down this time, a burst of red blood appeared in the sea. The sailors shouted loudly, and their eyes were burning at the black shadow in the sea.

Without Tang Ke's order, sailors already pulled the rope back, and the black shadow gradually surfaced.

Judging from the pulling just now, the fish should be quite large, and it is definitely okay to make a pot of fish soup. Tangke and the sailors looked at the sea with anticipation, but after the thing caught it, they looked at each other.

What I caught was not a fish, but a little water monster!

This guy is very deformed, thirty inches long, silvery-white all over, his head looks like a hideous grimace, and his tail has webbed calves. It bit the hook tightly, and its mouth has begun to spit out blood foam, and its body is still trembling slightly.

Tang Ke scratched his chin, looked at the dead water monster, and said, "Do you think this thing can be eaten?"

The sailors looked at me, and I looked at you, and replied in unison: "Yes!"

"You are really not picky about food." Tang Ke looked at the little water monster in disgust, still feeling a little resistant.

The sailors didn't care about that. They quickly cleaned up the water monster, scraped off the scales, took out the internal organs, washed them, went to the kitchen to set up a fire, and stewed them in an iron pot. Surprisingly, after the water monster was put into the pot, it smelled quite fresh.

Although there is a saying that the fish caught belongs to the captain, Tang Ke has no intention of occupying the pot of stewing water monster.

After a brave man tasted the non-toxic water monster meat, the sailors gathered together to eat the pot of water monster soup, divided the tender water monster meat with knife and fork, and scooped the steaming soup with a spoon. It took only three or two minutes to eliminate the pot of water monster soup.

A sailor who was more slap-off and brought a bowl to the captain. There was also a fat sea monster leg in the bowl, which was obviously the part with the most flesh. Tang Ke hesitated and took it, looking at the part that looked very much like a baby's calf, and he couldn't really raise his appetite.

There are many strange creatures in this sea, whether it is seabirds or fish, which are very different from those on the earth. This is also one of the reasons why Tangke feels that this is a different world. Compared with those huge sea beasts that are hundreds of yards long, this little sea monster is not worth laughing at.

Seeing the sailors eating so happily, Tang Ke was a little moved, and the fragrance that penetrated his nose was seducing him. He tasted a sip of the soup, which only had salty salt, a seasoning, but it tasted as delicious as the chef made.

"Forget it, just eat it as a frog." Tang Kexin made a move and acted to chew on the monster's legs.

"Report to Captain! I found a small island!" The lookout hand, who was on a high place, suddenly shouted excitedly.

Tangke's mouth stopped in the air, his neck stretched out. He stuffed the soup bowl to the sailor beside him, and then climbed up the watchtower in a hurry. The slippery mast could not defeat him.

The lookout hand excitedly guided the captain. There was a rolling bulge on the sea about a thousand yards southeast, which looked like a small island. They did not have advanced products like telescopes, so they could only look through visual inspection.

Tang Ke rubbed his eyes hard and repeatedly identified them, fearing that he would see a mirage. Fortunately, it really looked like an island.

"It's an island, it's an island, haha, we're saved!" Tang Ke laughed, flew to grab the rope, and slid directly from it.

The sailors were also cheered after hearing the news and cheered enthusiastically.

"Let the paddlers speed up, and you go and adjust the sail direction for me." Tangke ordered quickly, and he personally went to master the rudder so that he could be faster.

The distance that seemed to be a thousand yards was actually very far. After their boats docked, they jumped off the boat and pulled the boat to the beach with human power. The boat dropped the anchor and was deeply rooted in the mud by the sea.

"You guys stay and visit the guard ship, then fix the ship, and the rest of them come with me." Tang Ke was about to set off, but suddenly remembered something and turned around and said, "I almost forgot, you all bring your weapons to avoid accidents."

As the captain, Tangke wears a sci-fi scimitar all day long, but because the sailors have to do a lot of hard work, they don’t wear weapons, and they will keep them in boxes. In order to maintain the weapons, someone has to wipe them twice a day.

Tangke's thin-body scimitar is decorated, and the metal of the sword is relatively strong. Once the knife is pulled out, it is obviously shaky. In contrast, the sailors' weapons are very simple.

In fact, Tang Ke was not very satisfied with this thin-body scimitar. After all, this is a European thing, and it feels not as powerful as a machete.

After getting ashore, Tang Ke looked around for a few glances. There were beaches and reefs around, and there were dense vegetation in the distance. The area of this island is too small. It is estimated that it can be run around in three hours. If you shout here, you can hear clearly on the opposite side of the island.

Tang Ke led the sailors forward, their main purpose was to obtain food and water. These sailors were all very brave. Tang Ke felt that he was too down-to-earth with them. Even if he encountered some monsters or something, he would probably be able to kill them by rushing up.

Pirates have a Caribbean style, the tallest of which is the coconut tree. The needle-shaped leaves spread out in the canopy, and ripe fruits are hidden below, and the thick trunks are bent.

No one cared about other plants, but this coconut tree was a rare good thing. Tangke and the sailors climbed up the tree and cut off all the coconuts. He breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the number of coconuts gradually increasing under the tree. In this way, the water source problem was temporarily alleviated.

Tang Ke and his friends left the coconuts in place and took them when they were about to leave. They went deep into the depths of the island oasis. There were no animals inside, but there were some mosquitoes and ants. Tang Ke was bitten twice, and the pain was so piercing that he burned the forest.

After collecting a circle in the woods, no edible plants were found except for the coconut trees. No one knew the colorful wild fruits, and Tangke ordered that no one was allowed to eat them because there was no need to take this risk.

He looked at the green vegetation under his feet and suddenly remembered the sweet potatoes in his hometown, which reminded him that the rhizomes of some plants were also edible. He immediately ordered the sailors to dig it up. They used the scabbards as shovels, so that the soil here is moist and easy to dig.

"Thank you for your blessing from the sea god Poseidon!" a sailor shouted excitedly. He was holding a freshly dug plant in his hand, with a string of round rhizomes hanging on it, which turned out to be potatoes.

"Haha, I didn't find the sweet potato, but I found the potatoes. Not bad, not bad." Tang Ke's first time in his life, he saw potatoes so pleasant, as if it was a golden ingot.

The excavation after that was simple, because the potatoes had the leaves and stems as references, so everyone could dig with purpose without digging around. The sailors were all strong and had strong movements. Soon, the potatoes piled into hills.

In the middle of the excavation, the rain that had been brewing for a long time finally fell. The rain was quite heavy, and everyone's clothes were wet. Fortunately, these people were full of fire and didn't care about this little rain at all.

Tangke treated the rain as a shower and was poured very comfortably. They collected some rainwater, which could also be drunk, so that the water source and food were replenished.
