Chapter 15 The Dead City

After crossing several barren mountains one after another, Qin Hao came to the birthplace of the red light.

What appeared in front of him was a super crater like a meteorite smashed when it fell. It was several kilometers in diameter. Standing in front of this huge meteorite crater, Qin Hao, who was originally tall, was as small as an ant.

And the red light that ran straight through the sky came from the center of the crater.

Standing at the edge of the pit and looking into the center of the red light, the devil's sharp vision allowed Qin Hao to easily see a two-handed sword inserted in the center of the red light.

It was a sword with a strange shape. There was a sheep horn skull carved at both ends of the hilt, and at the connection between the sword hole and the blade, there was also a sheep horn skull carved at the same time.

In the thin red light, it was buried in the dry, cold and hard soil of the Demon Realm. Qin Hao could not see the lower half of the sword blade because it was completely infiltrated into the soil, but the part of the sword blade exposed on the ground, the engraved runes shone with a cold blue light.

And the thin red light that enveloped it was like a soft light shot from the skylight in a dark cave, reflected on the rune sword.

The rune sword, which reveals the vicissitudes of life and history, is engraved with a few runes with faint blue light. The blue rune is extremely eye-catching in the red light.

"This is..." Looking at this sword with an unusual shape from afar, a hint of confusion flashed in Qin Hao's eyes, "Have you really encountered a magical weapon?"

He rushed down along the edge of the tilted pit, and Qin Hao walked step by step towards the center of the red light. Only then did Qin Hao notice the dozens of demons in front of him who were constantly spinning around the sword like a headless fly.

These demons have different shapes, including monster-like demons several meters tall, and also very small-sized demons like demons. But no matter which demon is, they are all circled dozens of meters away from the red light at this time.

These demons who turned around in circles with the red light as the center of the circle looked like drunkards who were lost, even their pace was floating.

"What's going on?" Qin Hao was stunned by the strange scene in front of him.

Walking next to these demons and watching these demons with different shapes walk past one by one, Qin Hao found that all the demons' eyes were in a state of godlessness.

He carefully poked a demon in front of him with his fingers. What surprised Qin Hao was that just by being gently poked by him, the demon felt as if he had just woken up and trembled all over, and then turned back from his confusion.

The demon who came back to his senses subconsciously looked at the surroundings, then opened his fangs and rushed towards Qin Hao, who was closest to it without saying a word.

"Damn! Why did you wake up so easily?" Unpredictable, Qin Hao was almost rushed by the demon.

He took several steps back in a hurry, and finally avoided the demon's claw attack, Qin Hao punched out and hit the demon's chest heavily.

Bang--

With a muffled sound, the demon's body trembled for a moment under the bombardment of huge force. Immediately afterwards, before the demon could recover from Qin Hao's fist shaking, Qin Hao's right hand had already clenched the bone knife and slashed it hard.

puff--

The lilac blood squirted Qin Hao's face, and half of his body, whose body was almost split open, opened his mouth, squeezed out a dry howl from his throat, and finally he could only fall to the ground and die weakly.

Looking at the corpse of the demon in front of him and the other demons who seemed to have never heard of the chaos here and still circled around the red light, Qin Hao was a little confused.

When he saw the godless eyes of these demons, he thought that these demons could not wake up at all, just like the guys he had met before. Unexpectedly, the red light had weakened its control over these demons here. It was obvious that it just poked light gently, which made the demon awaken.

He took two more steps forward with the bone knife, and Qin Hao finally knew what was going on in the strange state of these demons.

When he walked into a certain range, he suddenly felt deprivation of direction. The sword was clearly in front of him, but there was a strange voice in his heart that kept telling him - go to the right, go to the right...

"Okay, no wonder these demons are all spinning around. It turns out they are fascinated," Qin Hao sighed, ignored the bewitching voice and walked into the red light.

With his wisdom, he would naturally not be controlled by hypnotic sounds, but these ordinary demons in front of him were not as intelligent as him. These demons with low IQs could not tell that the sound in their minds was not controlled by the brain on their bodies, but were all controlled by the sound and turned around in circles.

After entering the red light, Qin Hao suddenly felt a strange feeling. At that moment, he suddenly felt as if he had been stripped of all his clothes in public and was peeped at by countless people.

The feeling of standing naked in the cold wind being peeked at by people made him feel a little uncomfortable.

After all, even human-type demons without wisdom will unconsciously condense magic bone armor to cover the sensitive parts of the body. How could he, a time traveler with sound wisdom, run naked on the earth of the demon world? Since he had the ability to condense magic armor, he has made himself a set of armor to make clothes.

But now walking in this red light, he suddenly had the illusion of being naked.

Qin Hao subconsciously touched the armor that was still there, and he felt a little strange. Could it be that this red light also has the function of scanning? Otherwise, where did the strange feeling that the whole body was scanned? But, if this red light really has the function of scanning, what is it scanning?

Just as Qin Hao was puzzled, as he moved forward, the two-handed sword inserted in the soil appeared at his feet. He subconsciously looked down at the sword-hilt-skinned sword with a little copper rust on the metal. A trace of greed suddenly flashed in Qin Hao's heart.

The feeling of greed came so violent that Qin Hao, who was unprepared, was instantly controlled by this sudden greed. When he turned around, he found that he had bent down and held the hilt of the rune sword.

"Uh...what's the situation?" Qin Hao blinked, and a bad premonition flashed in his heart.

Roaring—

The roars after roar made Qin Hao subconsciously raise his head. In an instant, the guy was startled.

In my sight, the dozens of demons who had previously circled around the rune sword had recovered. The dozens of demons around them stared at him with blood-red eyes, and then roared towards him. In those pairs of blood-red eyes, there was endless greed flashing.

"Damn! How did these guys recover their minds?" Qin Hao cursed angrily, turned around and planned to run away. However, at this moment, he discovered an invisible force that stuck his hands and the hilt of the rune sword together, allowing him to struggle and use all his strength, but he was stuck in place and unable to move.

"Damn! What's going on?" Looking at the demons getting closer and closer, Qin Hao was in tears, "Don't play like this, bastard! Facing dozens of demons at once, don't say I can't move now, even if I can fight or jump, I will be kneeling."

Seeing that the demons were getting closer and closer, the nearest demon had even raised its huge claws to grab Qin Hao. Qin Hao couldn't help but close his eyes and screamed, "Help... Gu..."

A stream of cold liquid suddenly poured into Qin Hao's wide open mouth and poured into his stomach. Aroused by the coldness, Qin Hao suddenly opened his eyes, but found that he had arrived at a place he had never seen before.

"Uh...where is this?" Qin Hao was stunned when he looked at the scene around him that he had never seen before.

This is a desolate and silent ruined ancient city.

The streets are extremely wide, with tall buildings standing one after another in sight, and walls with gorgeous patterns are engraved with some charming color under the faint light of the surrounding air.

It can be seen that this was once an extremely huge city, and it might even be the main city of a powerful country.

It’s a pity that the city is dead now.

The empty streets are so quiet that even the wind of time is unwilling to stay here. Collapsed buildings appear from time to time on the mottled streets.

Under the black sky, dry and hard vines extend out from the corners of the city.

However, even these plants with extremely tenacious vitality can no longer find any nutrients in this dead city. The thick vines that had already dried up were weakly attached to the broken buildings, shaking.

The sky above my head was a strange dark black that was different from the dark red of the Demon Realm. The deep black spread to the end of my sight. Unlike the night sky where Qin Hao once passed by, the sky here was purely dark, without any extra impurities, let alone the sun, moon and stars.

Under such a black sky, the reason why he could see everything around him was because in the air of this city, there were strange light spots floating everywhere, like fireflies emitting a faint light. These fireflies were scattered throughout the city, floating slowly and irregularly. Qin Hao, who was standing in the middle, even had the illusion that he was standing in the Milky Way.

And in his hand, he was holding the strange rune sword.

However, without the barrier of the soil at this time, Qin Hao could clearly see the full picture of this rune sword.

The same as the upper half of the sword body, which still carries rust, the lower half of the sword blade is also full of the breath of history - or it can be said to be broken.

There was a large piece in the middle of the lower half of the sword blade, and it was only a trace of metal to connect the mottled sword tip and the hilt. Looking at the empty part in the middle, Qin Hao was a little amused and laughed, "Can this broken sword be useful? I guess it will be completely broken with just a little force?"

"No," a soft and pleasant voice suddenly sounded, "After all, it is a powerful artifact, how could it be easily broken?"
