002 Before the Quidditch World Cup
On the first day of school, as usual, I took Professor McGonagall's schedule for this year, and the sixth graders are special because Professor McGonagall must compare their ordinary witchcraft level test to confirm whether they are eligible for this course.
"I saw your results, and I knew you didn't do your best." Professor McGonagall raised his eyebrows as he looked at the twins' report card.
"Don't say that, professor." Fred winked at her, "It's just division of labor and cooperation--"
"Okay, but I don't think your grades can continue to practice potions, Mr. Weasley." Professor McGonagall handed the class schedule to George. "Professor Snape will not accept students below "Excellent".
"It's okay," George said lightly, "so I've learned another course of ancient magical texts."
"In this way, George can use the Potions Imperial Hall to do market research," Fred said. "I use the ancient Magical Hall."
"Okay, but I'm still very happy. You all come back to practice my transformation." Professor McGonagall took Fred's schedule and glanced quickly, and returned it to Fred with satisfaction.
"As for you, Mr. Rovande-" Professor McGonagall smiled. She did not take Lawrence's schedule. "I don't think I need to check your new schedule. You guys go to the first class."
The class this morning was pharmacology, so George planned to go to each bulletin board of the school to post leaflets to recruit product testers. Professor McGonagall turned a blind eye to this, just warning them not to overdo their products and not to let Mrs. Pomfrey come to her to protest,
Snape was walking around the classroom as usual with a cold breath. There were only ten sixth-grade students in the school who continued to study potions. After all, the standard of "excellence" was very high, and most of them were Ravenclaw's students, and Glenfindo had only Lawrence and Fred.
"Can I really learn how to modulate the love potion here?" Fred expressed doubts.
"So you are counting on learning that thing here?" Lawrence raised his eyebrows. "Can you imagine Snape's face full of spring and tell us: "Can't potions produce love?""
Although his words were very quiet, they still caused laughter from the people around him. Snape turned around and stared at Lawrence.
"The spring heart is such a good adjective, Rovande, put away your unjust thoughts," Snape said softly, but with his expression, no one thought he was really gentle, "Glenfindo deducts twenty points, I think this will help you wake up."
"That's how you describe Snape?" George asked with a smile at lunch.
"I'm just telling the truth." Lawrence shrugged,
"I suspect he has never been in love at all." Fred's malicious guess,
"Don't worry about this, we'll send a comment list while there's still some time after lunch." George said, taking out a stack of orders from his schoolbag.
"Yes, but we shouldn't be late. It's a dark magic defense in the afternoon," Fred looked at the class schedule. "I can't wait."
When everyone was sitting in the seat, Moody walked into the classroom with the sound of "dongdongdongdongdong" footsteps. He swept around the classroom with his magic eyes, as if confirming that everyone was present, and then took out an empty bottle with a spider inside.
"Ron certainly won't like it." Fred whispered,
"I've read the teaching report," Moody said. "You're really lagging behind in the fight against black magic. I understand that it's not O.W.L's main test range, but-"
"Dublido strongly asked me to let you understand these things, so in this year, I will teach you to fight against the wizards outside who use evil powers," Moody showed a smile, which did not make him look kinder, but seemed a little hideous. "Then let's start right, you--"
The student hesitated and walked over. Moody took out the spider.
"Do you know the spell of the Soul-Snatching Curse?" Moody asked expressionlessly. Ravenclaw's student nodded, and Moody ordered, "Play it to make a somersault."
"The soul comes out of body-" The spider turned over a not-so-clear somersault,
"It's too weak, you're hesitating, you have to ask for it more attentively, do you understand?" Moody said dissatisfiedly, and he ordered, "Once again."
"The soul comes out of body-" The spider flipped over a clever somersault,
"Everyone saw it?" Moody smiled. "The Soul-Snatching Spell is such a simple spell. When this spell became popular, I don't need to say much about how much trouble the Ministry of Magic would cause, and then...you--"
Another student of Hufflepuff who was clicked stood up and walked to Moody's side.
"I think it's a little smaller," Moody said, waving his wand to make the spider bigger several times. "Playing a pilogue curse on it is all students in the Super Lao Wu Test Class, which should not be a problem for you."
"Professor-" The Hufflepuff student showed an unbearable expression,
"You heard what I said, do it-" Moody repeated,
"The spider was just pressed on the table by a spell, and then stood up again.
"You don't really want to make it hurt," Moody said. "Hurry up, we don't have much time, and there's another spell."
"Heart-cutting"
"No, you still didn't use your sincerity." Moody shook his head,
"Professor-" Hufflepuff's student showed a pleading look, "Please, I can't-"
"Then you-" Moody waved his hand and asked him to go back, and ordered another Slytherin student,
"Cutting the bones." The spider rolled wildly, twitching violently, its eight legs twisted randomly, and the whole class was silent. Moody waved his hand again, and the Slytherin student stopped casting spells and walked back to his seat.
"I saw the mantra of the heart, right?" Moody said. "The caster must really want to make the target suffer, otherwise it will be of no use."
"So, I think everyone knows what's next?" Moody said calmly, as if talking about today's weather. "This spell requires powerful mana. I think you are the most suitable for you, right, Mr. Rovande?"
Lawrence walked up to Moody, and the whole class stared at him. Lawrence raised his wand and everyone held their breath.
"I can't do it, professor." Lawrence suddenly said, and he put down his wand.
"Is that?" Moody said, no one could tell whether he was satisfied or disappointed. Lawrence turned around and walked back, suddenly feeling a strong danger coming from behind him. He turned around,
"Avadassomim." Moody clearly spitted out the spell, and a dazzling green light flashed by, evil ominous and fierce murderous intent appeared and disappeared, and the spider on the table stopped moving.
"The evil spell, under this spell, the only person who has successfully escaped so far is Harry Potter," Moody said calmly, "No one knows how he did it. Today I let you actually see these three spells, and I want to tell you--"
"At any time, be alert!" Moody shouted, and the whole class was startled. "I don't think you would want to face these unforgivable spells?"
"Your understanding of black magic is too poor, which is incredible for wizards of your age before," Moody said. "In addition, we have to start practicing silent spells."
"In every class in the future, I will use the silent spell to sneak attack you," Moody's words made the whole class talk, but Moody didn't care. He continued, "You can use your wand to defend, and as long as someone successfully resists my spell with the silent spell, I will add a few points to his academy, remember--"
"At any time, be alert!" Moody shouted again, "Second."
After class, Lawrence's expression was always serious. Even Moody cast a ferret transforming spell on Decora Malfoy at the entrance of the hall, but he did not make him laugh. Lawrence and the twins quickly walked into the hall and met Harry, Ron and Hermione.
"What's wrong?" Hermione frowned. She was eating dinner quickly, but she noticed that Lawrence was serious, so she put down her knife and fork.
"Moody." Fred said,
"How cool he is!" Li. Jordan also found a seat nearby and sat down, "We just finished his class."
"But Lawrence doesn't think so," George explained.
"How is his class?" Harry asked hurriedly.
"He asked us to cast an unforgivable spell, looking at a spider." Fred glanced at Lawrence and continued, "He asked Lawrence to cast a life-seeking spell."
Hermione gasped,
"I think he really knows how to do it outside right?" George interrupted.
"What is a life-seeking curse?" Harry was confused, but no one explained.
"You haven't performed it?" Hermione asked, Lawrence shook his head.
"I think it's a bit too much." Lawrence frowned, "I don't know if he will teach you the same thing."
"I think Dunbulito has his ideas?" George guessed,
"We won't have his class until next Tuesday." Ron said disappointedly after checking the schedule.
"I'm going to the library." Hermione stood up.
"What a good student who works hard, aren't he?" Fred was eating a plate of stew.
"Oh, it has nothing to do with homework, it's more important." Hermione left this sentence and ran out of the hall.
"I'm really surprised. There is something more important than homework?" George expressed his surprise.
"If I were you, I would have finished dinner soon," Lawrence said. "We have to practice the silent mantra."
"You don't think Moody's class is serious, do you?" Fred frowned. "He really attacked us with a spell?"
"I think it's very possible." Lawrence replied gloomyly.
"This is the school," George said, "not the Auror training class."
"I know, you know, too," Lawrence said. "But I think Alasto Moody may not know."
