003 The day in memory
Lawrence did not wait for the spiral stone staircase to rise slowly, but climbed up step by step and came to a shiny oak door. There was a copper buckle in the shape of a shiny lion-headed beast. It could be vaguely heard Dumblido humming a song in the principal's office. Lawrence raised his hand and was about to knock on the door, and the door opened automatically.
"Hello, child." Dumblido looked happy, "Sorry, please come here so late, please sit down."
"Hello, Professor." Lawrence sat down.
"The last time I talked alone was when you were eleven?" Dumbledore looked at Lawrence carefully. "What should I drink when I went to the orphanage to convince you to come to Hogwarts? Tea? Lemon juice? Hot cocoa?"
"Uh... Hot Cocoa, thank you."
Dumblido waved his wand and two drinks appeared on the table.
"I must apologize to you, my son, I didn't tell you some things," Dumbledore said. "Although you didn't ask me at the time, I think I have the responsibility to tell you."
Lawrence vaguely knew what Dumbledore wanted to tell him, and he also hoped to get a different answer from the one in his memory. He held the smokey mug in front of him, but the scent of hot cocoa could not dispel the tension in his heart.
"I think you recognized the things on the table," said Dumbledore.
"Meditation Basin, Professor." Lawrence replied softly. If it were normal, he would be interested in looking at the mysterious marks engraved with magic on the edge of the basin, but now he is not in this mood.
"Yes, child." Dumbledore stood up and pointed to the silver-white memory that was spinning in the basin with his wand. "Are you ready?"
"It's OK at any time." Lawrence also stood up, and then the white light swallowed the principal's office.
───────────
The same principal's room, the stove without ignition, made it look a little cold. Even the feathers of Phoenix Forks were a little dull. The silver instruments were slightly shiny on the table with the hanging legs. The principals' frames were empty. Lawrence noticed the orange dividing line outside the window. The sun sets and the night is coming.
A silver wolf broke the silence, and then a gentle but slightly panicked voice sounded: "Dunbulito, the dead-eating man appeared in the Islinton District and made great destruction. I think they were crazy." (Note 1)
Lawrence then noticed that Professor Dunbulido was sitting in the principal's seat, his sharp blue eyes shining in the darkness.
"Do me a favor, Fox." Dunbulido said softly, Fox flew up, and then swooped in the principal's office. Dunbulido grabbed its golden feather tail, and a flash of flame suddenly appeared. Lawrence felt that he was moving with the Phoenix at high speed. He understood that this was Dunbulido's memory, and he had to follow Dunbulido.
The sky was filled with black magic marks, people were crying and explosions, people were laughing loudly, and figures were floating everywhere in the sky - people were throwing the muggles they caught one by one into the sky,
The fire and sound of the phoenix did not attract attention. There were sporadic shouts around, and the sound of spells passing through the air. Obviously, there were still people fighting, but they could also clearly feel how weak their resistance was. There were too many enemies, and more dead-eating people were tortureing Muggles instead of fighting.
"Dumbrellado." said a wizard in a shabby robe. He had just defeated the enemy and leaned against a house that had been blown up by a spell, and his hand without a wand was bleeding. "You are finally here."
Lawrence stared blankly at the half-blasted house.
"Let's talk about it later, Remus." Dumbredo said calmly, Lawrence turned his head, he could clearly feel the anger in Dumbredo's blue eyes.
Dumblido quickly walked towards the gathering place of the dead-eating people, while lifting his magic wand to point to the sky. The shiny black magic mark in the sky was broken, and the fragments turned into starlight and flew towards the captured Muggles in the sky.
Dumbledore pointed his wand to the ground, and a raging fire appeared on the cracked floor to surround the dead people. Only then did the dead people notice that Dumbledore had arrived at the scene. Some wanted to turn around and escape and were surrounded by the fire net. The spells shot at Dumbledore were always offset or blocked. The fire net turned into flame ropes to tie the dead people one by one. The Oro of the Ministry of Magic finally arrived at this time.
Dunbulido walked towards Remus, and at this time Remus had stopped the blood in his left hand, and several wizards were also surrounding the house, obviously guarding something.
"What's going on?" asked Dumbledore,
"A child." Remus said briefly, leading Dumbledore into the house that had been blown up, Lawrence still remembers what happened next.
The living room was extremely neat. A small cake with a happy birthday was placed on the table. The calendar on the wall clearly remembered today's date. A woman and a man were lying on the ground and unconscious. On the sofa, a child's face was still scratched. He looked around with his eyes open. Lawrence clearly remembered that this was himself.
"We learned from the Ministry of Magic that someone was performing magic here," Remus said. "So we came over to check and found this child."
Dunbulido squatted down and touched the extremely clean floor: "Then the dead eater came?"
"It's coming very quickly, obviously there are their people in the Ministry of Magic." Remus said, then asked tentatively, "Are they looking for this kid?"
Dunbulido did not answer Remus' question, and at this time, a big silver dog rushed in, and a panicked voice said, "Dunbulido, Voldemort attacked the Godric Valley. I think James and Lily have already..." (Note 2)
"Lawrence, it's almost done when I think about it." Dumbredo's gentle voice came from behind Lawrence, "I'm leaving."
Lawrence felt a pulling force pull him up, and the last scene he saw was Remus kneeling on the ground with his face covering his face, Dumbledore raised his wand and shot out a silver phoenix.
───────────
"This is my memory of your parents, child." Dumbledore said kindly, "Your parents were not dead at that time. Actually, I don't understand why you became one..."
"Orphan." Lawrence said calmly, but his expression was a little gloomy.
"Get some drinks," Dumbledore said, lifting his wand and turning the cold drink back into hotter. "I think you'll want to ask me some questions."
"Are they here to find me?" Lawrence asked after sipping a drink.
"I want to say yes or no, Lawrence," said Dumbledore. "They look for lonely wizards, threatening and tempting to strengthen their own momentum."
"But I was just a kid at that time," Lawrence said.
"There was a...well...news." Dumbledore carefully considered the words, "This news made Voldemort very concerned...and I must say..."
"It was actually a bit shocking for a child to awaken magic, and at that time Voldemort's minions were eager to find something to make contributions." Dumbledore blinked at Lawrence.
"I didn't even record it in the Ministry of Magic at that time."
"Hogwarts has a quill pen, and he will register a child with magical talents in the secret student list on the day he was born. This is the ancient magic of vows." Dumbully said. "Although the Ministry of Magic cannot reproduce it, they imitate props that can detect magic. Although it does not work in places full of wizards, it is enough to control the magic happening in the Muggle world."
"Are they going to find Harry Potter?" Lawrence asked. "I heard Voldemort go to find them in the end." (Note 3 Note 4)
"Oh, Lawrence, this is a really hard question," Dumbledore said. "But...well, I think yes, don't blame Harry, Lawrence."
"No, it's not his business, professor, this is Voldeo...oh, it's the Dark Lord's fault." Lawrence thought of himself blurting out his name again, and quickly changed his words.
"I'm glad, Lawrence, I noticed that you don't seem to be afraid of calling his name." Dumbledore said, "The right name is always used to refer to things. The fear of a name will strengthen the fear of the thing itself."
"Yes, professor." Lawrence said, "I..."
"Oh, Lawrence." Dunbulido interrupted him with a smile, "It's too late. If you dozed off in Professor McGonagall's class tomorrow, I think she would come to settle the score with me."
"Okay, professor, last question?"
Dumblido nodded with a smile,
"Do you remember your childhood memories?"
"How young? Is it like a baby?" Dumbledore asked with a smile.
"I remember every birthday, professor." Lawrence looked at Dumbledore and smiled first, surprised, and then thought,
"I don't remember, kid." Dumbledore returned to a kind smile and said in a light tone, "I think excellent memory can help you complete your studies easily, right?"

Note 1: Islinton is one of the administrative districts of London
Note 2: In the first and third episodes, Hagrid received news from Dunbulido and rushed to pick up Harry. His efficiency was very high. He picked up Harry before Muggles arrived there (description of the first episode). Hagrid could not use a magic wand at that time, and I don’t think he wouldn’t have phantom movement,
Dumbullydo didn't know that Sirius convinced James to replace the secret guard with the little dwarf Peter at the last moment, which caused the problem: How did Dumbullydo and the others learn that Voldemort attacked the Porter?
So I think the initial warning was Sirius, and the information about the Potters could not be revealed due to the loyalty curse, but Sirius could be passed on. Sirius could infer that the object of keeping secret did not exist (death), which was consistent with his description in the third episode that he discovered that the Petdwarf Peter disappeared, and he immediately went to find the Potters. He met Hagrid, so I will define him here after he found out that Peter was missing, and sent a message to Dunbulito.
And I think at the end of the third episode, Deng Bulidore could believe that Sirius is very likely because he already suspected that things are not simple. Of course, this long list is my guess, just smile if you misread it.
Note 3: Actually, I have always been very confused about why the wizard born by Muggle dare not call him by his name. Just like some murderers and even terrorist organizations in newspapers and news, it is normal to be afraid of it, but it is a bit strange if you dare not call him. Of course, the wizards at that time lived under the terrifying threat of Voldemort, and I think it is understandable that I dare not call him.
