012 Victims of fifty years ago

Lawrence led Harry to run downstairs, and Harry noticed that they were running towards the dungeon.

"Don't we go to find Professor Maige?" Harry asked gasped. Lawrence was fast and fast. He tried his best to keep up.

"No, let's go find Snape," Lawrence replied, pushing open the door without knocking, "Here."

"You should knock on the door first? Mr. Rovander...and you, Potter." Snape stared at the two uninvited guests.

"I don't have time to say this anymore. Dunbulido wants me to trust you..." Lawrence gasped slightly, "I mean, the Basilisk in the Secret Room..."

"I understand the secret room, but the basil monster?" Snape asked with his eyes narrowed. Lawrence felt something was wrong, but Snape didn't wait for him to ask. He continued, "But I think, I know what I should do."

"Call-up--" Snape raised his wand and was about to chant a spell, but suddenly paused. Lawrence noticed that he glanced at Harry in a vague way. He put away his wand, took a rub of shiny powder from the small box beside him, and threw them towards the fireplace. "Professor McGonagall, my office, emergency."

"Touch" the flames of the fireplace suddenly rushed upwards. Professor McGonagall stepped out of the fireplace, but some coal ash was stained on his serious face, which looked a little funny.

"What happened, Severus?" Professor McGonagall swept over each person quickly and then set his eyes on Lawrence, "Harry, Lawrence?"

"Rovand said the Basil monster in the secret room, I think we finally understood something." Snape said expressionlessly, Lawrence finally found something wrong,

"Didn't Professor Dunbulido tell you there is a basilisk hidden in the secret room?" Lawrence asked in surprise, "I think the professors know?"

"No, the principal said nothing," Snape said coldly, "He only said 'If Lawrence comes to you, then the matter will be at its most critical moment'."

"Those precautions? Mirrors at the corner of the corridor?" Lawrence felt a mess in his mind. This was too strange.

"That's what Dumbledore told, and we don't know why we should do it." Professor McGonagall replied, "So, what happened?"

"There is a snake monster hidden in the secret room. I guess Ginny may be controlled." Lawrence quickly sorted out her thoughts. "She released the snake monster and attacked the students, but all the victims looked at the snake monster through other things, so there were no victims."

"I think--" Professor McGonagall was about to speak when there was an explosion of "bump--" and a sharp laugh, and then a huge hissing sound.

"No!" Harry shouted suddenly, everyone turned their eyes to him.

"The successor - opened the secret room, he wanted to release the snake demon to kill all the students in the school." Harry said in horror.

"Secret Room, where is the Secret Room?" Snape asked hurriedly, "This is very important."

"We guess it's in the girls' toilet on the second floor," Lawrence replied. "Mrs. Loris was killed on the second floor, Colin was in the stairwell on the second floor, and I don't know that Justin and Nick, Hermione was in the women's toilet on the second floor, and most importantly, the victim fifty years ago was also in the women's toilet on the second floor."

"I should have thought of it long ago. I knew that Myrtle was the victim of the last time." Professor McGonagall said, chanting the spell in her throat with a whisper, (Note 1)

"All students returned to their dormitories, and all students below the second floor went to Hufflepuff's lounge to take refuge. Pomona, please help them." Professor McGonagall's voice instantly amplified several hundred times. "Philius, protect the students from evacuating the second floor, cast a spell to block the abandoned girls' toilet on the second floor, and the professors assisted the students in evacuation."

"Now we have more time," Professor McGonagall's voice returned to normal. "Have you contacted Dunbulido? Severus."

Snape shook his head, Professor McGonagall looked at him strangely. Professor McGonagall raised his wand and a silver cat flew out from the tip, which quickly passed through the wall and disappeared without a trace.

"Let's go up and take a look." Professor McGonagall took the lead in running upstairs.

"Let's go, Harry." Lawrence pulled Harry away in a terrifying manner, and Snape walked at the end without saying a word.

They came to the abandoned girls' toilet on the second floor. The twins and Ron squatted aside. Ron's left hand was injured. George and Fred were helping him press the wound. Lohart was pointing at them, but the three of them ignored him.

Professor Flivi was waving his wand in sweat. From time to time, white light flew out from the tip of the wand, and it merged lightly into the silver wall of light.

"I'm sorry, we didn't stop Ginny," George told Lawrence, who quietly stuffed the remake of the map to Lawrence. "She attacked us, but I think that's not Ginny."

"I recognize it, she ran around the school with the original map," Fred whispered. "She attacked Ravenclaw's students and started running around again, finally running here and blowing up half of the wall. Ron was injured at that time."

Lawrence nodded, Mrs. Pomfrey arrived quickly to help Ron's treatment, and Professor Flivie was discussing with Professor McGonagall, Lawrence approached them,

"I can't stop it for too long, Minerva." Professor Frieve said, as if to prove what he said, the light wall suddenly shook, and a rift appeared on the surrounding walls.

"Then don't block it, lead it to the hall," Professor McGonagall replied decisively, "It's convenient for us to move-"

"But the professor, the snake monster's deathly demon eyes, huge body and poisonous fangs..." Lawrence said anxiously, "The roosters in the school have been killed, we--"

"Yes, Mr. Rovander, but my army will not die," said Professor McGonagall, holding up her wand. "Hogwarts is threatened to take place in the hall to protect the school and students, and now, do your duty! Come alive!"

A series of clicks and knocks, the armor decorated by the corridor began to move one by one, moving forward in neat steps, which made the five students present stunned.

"Hiss────" The light wall was finally knocked away, and the group quickly retreated. They could only look at the shadows on the wall or on the ground to judge the movements of the snake monster, but the snake monster ignored everyone and turned around and wanted to leave, as if it knew that the teachers present were not easy to mess with.

"Someone is ordering it." Ha said in a trembling tone, "He wants the Basilk to go to Glenfindo, because there are the most descendants of Muggles..."

"Then..." Professor McGonagall waved his wand and jumped out of the marching team. They all took huge hammers as weapons. Then, a few toothaches, the snake monster roared angrily, biting the armor into pieces, and its huge body swam towards the armor that was shooting at him, while several pairs of armor threw ropes to try to subdue the snake monster.

"I think a few of us professors can solve it," said Professor McGonagall calmly. "Philius, Severus, Lockhart, you go with me to the hall to solve it. Mrs. Pomfrey, please bring the students back to Glenfindota--"

An angry roar came from the girls' toilet, and everyone looked there. There was originally a wide pipe there, but now a sink floated up to cover it.

"No!" Harry yelled, "The voice said he was going to kill Ginny, and save her in the secret room."

"Please." Harry looked at Professor McGonagall, and the Weasleys looked at him,

"We will," Professor McGonagall said calmly, "but we don't know how to open the channel. This must be magical protection. If the method is wrong..."

"When we arrived, Ginny was talking to the bathroom, but it was a hissing sound that we couldn't understand." Fred said,

"Then she blew the wall and blasted us out," said George.

"I'm a snake," Harry said immediately, and he ran to the sink quickly. Everyone heard a hissing sound, a flash of white light, the sink sank, and the wide passage appeared again,

"I'll bring little Ginny back," Lockhart jumped out. He finally found a task other than going to the lobby to deal with the Basilisk. He showed his signature smile, "I've done this kind of thing several times, I'm an expert..."

"I'm going too," Harry shouted, "There may be other mechanisms inside that need my snake accent."

"I want to - Oh, too." Ron said, and then Mrs. Pomfrey poked the wound on his left hand with his wand.

"We're going, too." The twins said in one voice, "She's our sister."

"Damn it." A cold voice sounded, and a red light knocked Harry out accurately. It was Snape, who held his wand and said coldly, "This is not the time to be a hero."

"Oh, Severus," exclaimed Professor McGonagall, "You should use a gentler way."

"Sorry, Professor McGonagall," Snape replied, "but the situation is urgent."

"How can you do this?" Ron yelled angrily, and the twins pulled out their wands directly, but they were stopped by Professor McGonagall.

"Shut up." Snape's expression was terrifying, "Don't think I dare not knock you all out."

"You knocked Harry out, what if you still use the snake accent inside?" Fred asked angrily.

"Language is a voice, and there is a person here. I must still remember what Porter said," Snape faced Lawrence, his dark eyes staring at Lawrence without emotion, "Is it right? Lawrence Rovander."

"I just think Ginny is my sister. Of course I have to save her if I can," Lawrence looked at Snape and said, "Do you want to come together? Professor?"

"Of course." Snape showed a smile, but it was very strange no matter how you look at it.

"It's settled," Professor McGonagall said quickly, "I, Philius, Lohart, go to the hall to get rid of the Basil, Mrs. Pomfrey, please bring the students back to the Glenfindo lounge...Severus, Lawrence, be careful."

"Don't forget, we sold a lot of things this year," the twins said in unison, and they worked together to carry Harry to the stretcher that Professor McGonagall created, "Remember to come back alive and share the money."

"Oh, so... no one cares about me..." Lockhart muttered, but he still barely followed Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitvie.

Author's words: I originally wanted the snake monster to appear handsomely from the Black Lake, but then I thought about it and the length of the snake monster seemed to be nothing compared to the size of the Black Lake...

Note 1: Professor McGonagall and Voldemort are contemporary people.

Note 2: There are many professors' names in this chapter. Pomona and Philius seem to appear less often in the original work, and they often use surnames rather than names when they appear.

Pomona. Sprout, Dean of Hufflepuff, Herbal Medicine

Philius. Flivie, Dean Lavenclaw, Talismanology

Minerva. McGonagall, Dean of Glenfindo, Transformation
