In addition to sending troops to occupy it, they continued to immigrate, oppress the local Dai people, and constantly marginalize the Dai people.

The continued occupation of the Indians aroused strong resistance from the locals. In fact, during the British rule, the struggle was already ongoing. Now, with the development of continuous struggle, the rise of Assam's joint liberation front has become the largest armed force. Their program is to establish an autonomous and independent Assam regime. They believe that Assam has never been a part of India and wants to liberate Assam from India's rule.

Of course, there are other armed organizations, "Assam United Liberation Front", "Podo National Democratic Front" and "Katapur Liberation Organization" are the three major armed organizations in Assam.
