The advancedness of the Leopard 2 tank is unquestionable, but the Leopard 2 uses 120mm cannons, four drivers, while the Type 90 tank is 125mm cannons, three drivers. Moreover, the turret of the Type 90 tank is lower, and in tank battles, the low turret means a smaller bullet area. Westerners are all very large. The Asians are smaller, and the tanks designed for Europe do not take into account the size of the Orientals. Therefore, the Chinese tanks should be more suitable for the Eastern battlefield.
Historically, Pakistan imported tanks from China, with the improved Type 90 model named mbt2000, but the diesel engine was replaced by Ukrainian products.
However, now Pakistan's main tanks are all 120mm guns. If they are replaced with Type 90 tanks, the cannons will have a 125mm caliber, which will cause logistical burden.
