Four hundred and eighty-sixth two Iraqi attack ships

The first thing that started was Iraq, and Saddam was unruly.

As early as 1983, Saddam publicly claimed that five fighter jets in Iraq carried flying fish missiles and would attack oil tankers entering and leaving Iran. Iran immediately began a counterattack: once Iranian oil tankers or maritime oil facilities were attacked, Iran would immediately block the Strait of Hormuz! In 1984, Saddam finally took action. He dispatched the legal super Hornet helicopter to attack four innocent civilian ships with the am39 flying fish missile, 3 sunk and 1 injured. From then on, the two sides began to attack each other's oil tankers. In 1984, 69 merchant ships and oil tankers were attacked, 53 in 1985, 106 in 1986, and 178 merchant ships and oil tankers attacked in 1987.

Iraq's oil exports mainly rely on pipelines and are transported directly to the Mediterranean, while Iran exports in the Persian Gulf and has geographical advantages. Although Iraq has few oil tankers, civilian ships such as Kuwait support Iraq are also their targets of attack, and even neutral oil tankers.

It has been 88 years now, only a few months before the end of the Iran-Iraq War. The ground battles have almost ended, but the attacks at sea have never stopped.

The sky was clear, and an extremely large tanker with the Chinese flag was sailing on the sea.

The huge hull has a bulging belly, and a straight deck above it. As long as a familiar person sees it, he will know it is an oil tanker.

When oil becomes an important energy source, transporting oil has become an indispensable way for countries lacking crude oil. On land, using oil pipelines, and on sea, it can only be done by using oil tankers.

In the past, oil tankers were restricted in order to pass the Suez Canal. For a period of time, the Egyptians closed the Suez Canal, and most of the tankers had to go around. At this time, the tankers began to grow larger and larger in size.

The ship in front of us is the largest of all oil tankers. Its full load displacement is almost one million tons. It is also the longest ship and the longest artificially made floating objects on the water. It is more than 1/4 mile long, longer than the Eiffel Tower lying down horizontally. It is an extremely large crude oil transport ship.

This ship is the Sea Giant. It was manufactured in December 1976 at the Maihama Shipbuilding Station in Yokosuka City, Tomohiro Machinery Industry in the island nation. The orderer was a Greek shipping operator. Three years later, the brother went bankrupt before the ship was built, and the ship was resold to the Hong Kong ship king Dong Haoyun. After that, the ship was extended by several meters and increased its displacement, and finally reached 825,466 tons! It became the largest ship in the world.

After completion, the tanker began its trip to the Middle East. However, now the Iraq-Iraq War is in full swing, and transportation at sea is always at risk.

The ship attack has been happening for several years, and the sea giant has also experienced several dangers. On October 5 last year, an Iraqi Phantom F-1 dropped a bomb and injured the plane. Two months later, on December 22, the Phantom F-1 was injured again with a bomb. Fortunately, it was a solid tanker, which continued to operate after being repaired.

Now, the tanker is carrying a large amount of crude oil and is passing through the Strait of Hormuz, an area controlled by the Iranian Navy. There are a large number of Iranian missiles on the shore. They are frightened all the way over and they are finally safer when they arrive here.

Iraqi fighter jets usually fly in the Persian Gulf and sometimes even attack Iranian ports. Now, this is almost the largest navigation distance for Iraqi fighter jets and will generally not be attacked again.

They are not worried about Iran's attacks, because their company has always loaded oil from Iran, so the attacks on them are also Iraqi planes.

Iraq is now a lunatic. It not only attacks Iranian oil tankers, but also other neutral countries, as long as they transport Iranian crude oil, is the scope of their attack.

The sea is not very windy and waves, and the navigator stands on the bridge. The waterways here are complicated and only the middle passage can pass through. It is too difficult for the navigation of this giant on his side.

Several sailors stood on the deck and were nervous for so long that they could finally relax. They almost risked their lives. Although their wages were very high, they didn't want to do it anymore.

A sailor looked at the white clouds in the blue sky and suddenly heard a familiar roar in the distance.

A silver highlight appeared in the blue sky.

"Note, there is a plane!" the sailor shouted.

As he was speaking, he heard a more familiar voice, the sharp whistle from far to near! The other party actually dropped the bomb!

"Hurry, the left rudder is full!" the captain shouted, the other party threw bombs again, and he had to avoid the other party's bombs!

This is not a speedboat, it is a slow oil tanker. It takes a long time to move the body. Now, the situation is very urgent and we must avoid the bomb thrown.

(There are rumors in later generations that Iraq used the Flying Fish missile. It seems that the Flying Fish missile is not expensive. Is it necessary to deal with enemy warships, anti-ship missiles, and an oil tanker so crazy?)

"Boom!" The bomb's accurate head was not high. It fell into the water dozens of meters away from the tanker, and waves more than ten meters high were blown up.

The captain breathed a sigh of relief, but the pilot shouted loudly: "Quick, slow down!"

There is already a shallow in front of it. This super tanker has a very deep draft. If it passes, it will definitely be stranded!

"Fast, the host is at full speed, reverse!" The captain also gave the order.

"Squeak." A special sound came from the bottom of the ship. Then, the front end of the entire hull suddenly raised upwards, and more than two meters were exposed under the waterline.

Oops! Stranded!

The Iraqi plane continued to fly over, shaking its wings with great might. You can see that there were still bombs at the lower end of the wings. The other party did not throw them, but turned around and flew back.

Damn it! The sailors on the ship cursed, and they knew that they had escaped from death once. However, this tanker stranded near Kake Island was the largest one in the company. Now, it seems that it cannot be saved in a short period of time. The company may be even worse.
