Chapter 222 The dark sun

Through the organ-like passage of living objects, Curt and Liqi finally came to a vast stone chamber illuminated by glimmers of various colors.

And the next second, the eyes of the two were immediately taken away by the things that appeared in front of them. An object displayed in the stone chamber and released the overwhelming sense of existence occupied the vision of Cott and Liqi. Under the shadow cast by this huge object, there were many cubes of metal shells placed side by side.

In terms of appearance, this "object" is actually a complex structure composed of dozens of metal columns of different sizes. A large number of columns carved with complex patterns stand in the hall. They are all wrapped around colorful magical lines, and a large number of ancient words keep flashing and then pouring into the center.

In the center of many towering metal pillars, a pitch-black ball slowly rotated, and the ancient words pouring into the center were absorbed by it, and then a complex pattern of light and darkness was drawn on its surface. The brilliance of magic was completely swallowed by the darkness and finally turned into a thin afterimage.

The moment they saw the pitch-black sphere, the two seemed to hear a horrifying wail from it. As described in ancient legends, the tortured souls made a wail of pain at the bottom of the extremely deep water. They used that object as the medium to directly reach the brains of the two.

In an instant, a strange unhappiness flowed around the two of them, and the strange sound scales that spread out from the black sphere were undoubtedly the source of the dissonance sound.

"What kind of thing is this thing - is it a magic furnace that provides the power of this colossus?" Looking at the strange object that appeared in front of him, Curt muttered in surprise, "But the pattern on this is obviously from the work of the Wikinas Cult."

It floated in the air at a rapid and slow speed, rotating. Without any support, it seemed that it didn't even have the entity. The black sphere was as unknown as the black sun, as if to confirm this impression, countless ancient words danced around it, transforming into millions of strange lights.

And - there were several crazy magicians standing outside the strange object. They were like drunks who had consumed too much alcohol, and they seemed to have addicts who had sucked some "spices" not long ago. They followed the ecstatic words shakingly.

"I don't know, but this... woo!"

Liqi was about to observe the huge black sphere carefully, but in a flash, she tightly covered her eyes. The more severe pain than when she saw the outer periphery hit her eye socket. In the blink of an eye, fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and her thin shoulders trembled.

The severe pain made her vision dim. But in that glance, Liqi also saw the tip of the iceberg of this huge structure. It was precisely because of this that her body kept trembling, not only because of the severe pain, but also the weird spells included in it.

However, the power emitted by the black sphere was only robbed of sight for a while. In the next moment, Liqi's visual ability returned to normal. She frowned and looked at the metal structure full of mechanical texture, and her face became worse and worse little by little - a little anger appeared.

"What are you doing... Is this..." A little slower than Liqi, Curt also noticed the things that existed at the root of this behemoth. "Does the reason why the True Vision Eye attacked the Slots in the city some time ago was because they needed them as the 'fuel' for this thing?"

Surrounding the complex core that was as orderly as a mechanic structure, several humans with no wisp were locked on the metal column - these unidentified men, women, old and young, were all Slots. Several chains as thick as arms were engraved with ancient words, deeply embedded in their bodies twitching violently, on the pitch-black metal, stained with blood that had not yet dried up.

They were forcibly connected with this device similar to a magic furnace by the owner of this facility. The magic power hidden in their flesh and blood was mercilessly squeezed out and became fuel for the black "sun". In the blood spilled around, several red marks slowly emerged, and then in a blink of an eye, it turned into a bright red light and merged into the pitch-black sphere located in the center.

I guess the things loaded in the metal cubes are mostly like this. It is very likely that it is some kind of component missing in the body of the Slots who died in the attack. Looking from a distance, you can vaguely see several thin red lines connecting between each metal square and the sphere.

It was as if the existence of the "world" had been cut open. In response to the ancient texts that kept pouring into it, many patterns appeared on the surface of the black sphere. In the purple-black cracks, lightning flashes of the same color burst out, turning into black lightning that could cut the space.

The lightning that gushed out of the "sun" flickered unsteadily, and its front end silently climbed up to the wall, and several of them even penetrated the surrounding metal cylinders. The crisscrossing purple-black light expanded little by little, and the ethereal phantom seemed to dominate the space in this stone room.

Looking at the "sun" in front of him that was burning the lives of those Slots, Curt and Liqi seemed indifferent. It was not that they could not feel any anger, but both of them knew clearly that if they simply expressed their "anger", it would be useless.

The men, women, young and old tied to the technical cylinder almost shed the last drop of blood, and the internal organs taken out of the corpse could not be returned to their masters. Except for those spells who were still confined to madness, the wide hall was almost filled with dead bones.

"It's no longer helpful... Everything that remains in the hall, both their spirit and the spells that have been eroded by the rampage."

This spell is full of mad magic, and all those exposed in it, both body and mind, will be eroded. The tortured dead constantly repeated the screams of the last moment of their lives, and the magician who fell into madness also released the madness magic indiscriminately... The two were intertwined together, weaving a crazy melody - and with this as the center, it spreads to everything around them.

The living and the dead, both fell into a state of selflessness. With their crazy dance steps, the enlarged magic gradually converged towards the dark sphere in the center. It seemed that with the dark "sun" as the center, all life in the stone chamber was swallowed up.

"What exactly is it necessary to do this?"

Curt sighed, then took a step back. In an instant, the lightning light shot from directly above passed through Curt's nose and penetrated deeply into the heavy stone bricks at his feet. If he hadn't taken that step back just now, this lightning light would probably have penetrated his head directly.

Without any surprise, Curt narrowed his eyes and raised his head.

If an ordinary person is immersed in daily life, his mind may suddenly fall into a blank space when he sees this scene full of madness. However, he did not throw the point that this is the enemy's base behind his head - for granted, the cruel and ruthless magicians are also here.

"Good reaction, who are you?"

A man in a black robe walked out of the metal pillar deep in the deep with his arms in his arms. At the same time, three fully armed men were followed by him. He looked down at Curt and Liqi like an ant on the ground, as if they could get rid of them in an instant as long as they were determined.

Unlike the members of the True Vision Eye that the two saw before, the man did not wear the black robe that almost wiped out his personal characteristics, but replaced it with a finely crafted old robes. It was as if emphasizing the particularity of his identity, the true red chain-like patterns were covered with pitch-black base material.

"Haha, do you still have to ask this question? Of course we are the ones who are here to make trouble." Curt didn't care about the oppression emitted from the man, and he still teased slowly, "Even if you live in a mobile fortress that is dozens of meters above the ground, it would be better to be vigilant."

Although he was still joking on the surface, Curt had already held the sword tightly and made a confrontation. The other party was not an enemy that could be treated easily. If he acted rashly here, he could not stop their plans - he still understood this kind of thing.

"Hmph, a bluffing clown."

The man looked at the indecent Curt disdainfully and said sarcastically: "I remember you, Curt Ryanster, who belongs to the mercenary... and the girl beside you, probably your sister who claims to be 'frail and sick', Liqi Ryanster?"

The family background of Curt and Liqi - at least on the surface - must have been collected completely by Zhenxiu Eye through the intelligence network in his hands. At least in the intimidation letter that came to the door, the information he recorded in the Mercenary Management Office had been fully disclosed.

However, this information would be revealed from this unique person, which surprised Curt: "It's really incredible - I didn't expect that as a mere iron-level mercenary, I would have been seen by you all the time."

The sarcastic words were spoken from Curt in standard imperial language, but the magician who seemed to be the commander only returned to a cold silence. His body seemed to be covered by thick fog, and Curt could not understand the movements of the magician's magic, and he could not start to explore his intentions.

However, Curt would not relax his vigilance because of this. The silence may be just a temptation to him. The magician in front of him is quite powerful. From the blow he just released, one or two can be seen - although the range of lightning light is extremely small, the magic power included is enough to turn mortals into ashes.

The cold murderous aura intertwined, and the offense and defense confronted each other speechlessly. Behind these magicians, the dark "sun" still released its inflated magic power, and the purple-black magic light burned like a raging fire, but it could only make people feel the gloomy cold air.
