Chapter 1279 The hidden worries of defeat

Since the Russian bomber threat was temporarily lifted, one F-14D fighter jet with different paints was divided into two groups, one group went forward to clear high-altitude threats, and the other group was on standby in the airspace near the fleet, ready to intercept anti-ship missiles at any time.

The superiors arranged this way. When the "Scythe" came towards him, the one responsible for interception at a height of several thousand meters was the combination of f-14d and f/a-18e/f: During the battle, the VF-103 "Super Cat" at a height of nearly 10,000 meters first discovered the target, and "Hawkeye" helped to identify the enemy and friends, and then a wave of aim-54c volleys. Then, as expected, the White No. 20, which had thrown off the missile, rushed straight to the interceptor.

Faced with a strong enemy, the F-14D squadron, which was not to be outdone, did not leave as planned, but accelerated to enter the visual air battle. This behavior that demonstrated courage but lacked rationality naturally brought heavy losses. Just when the "Hawkeye" early warning aircraft called Lieutenant Colonel Sean Phelps and sent target instructions through the data link, another "Super Cat" of VF-103 could not escape the "God of Death" and was hit by a tricky R-77 in the air.

The two F-14ds that were intercepting forward fell one after another, which was indeed a tragedy for the VF-103 squadron.

However, objectively speaking, the battle between the two "Super Cats" and "Scythe" delayed a little while, and the "Hornets" in the nearby airspace were able to respond. A group of combat attack aircraft filled with agm-84 adjusted their course and moved away. The four escorted f/a-18e/fs were divided into a group of dual aircraft to occupy the space, preparing to use continuous "slammers" to shoot away the damn Russians, so that their colleagues could successfully cross the fighter intercept line.

Through the automated battlefield command system, the Americans learned that the fighter planes of the "Skeleton" squadron were lost. Although the Americans had a good idea, as the e-2c continued to fly, more and more aerial targets were discovered. The young men quickly discovered a frustrating and glimmer of hope: in fact, there was no "White God of Death" position on the interception line of the Russian fighter jets. This ace with amazing record was clearly hunting alone, and the Ivans' "Sea Flanker" patrols behind the front line. Even if they bypassed the "sickle", there were still a number of enemy planes waiting behind!

Perhaps having mastered the air situation in person, the scale of Russian carrier-based aviation was quite large. To break through enemy aircraft interception, it would be greatly difficult to attack Russian surface ships. In addition, the "sickles" in the sky are even more difficult to deal with.

But on the other hand, since that guy is single, does he still have a chance to win?
