Chapter 7 The One-Act Play
"Where will the audition be held later?" Lin Zhong asked.
"Oh, in the practice room, only there is the spaciousest there." Xu Xiaodong said.
Lin Zhong raised his eyebrows. Unexpectedly, there was a training room in the company. He picked up the actor information and stood up, "Okay, then you can take me over and take a look."
"Okay, I'll take you there now."
Xu Xiaoya said, "You guys go, I'll do the script."
When the two walked out of the office, Xu Xiaoya looked at the script and sighed. The script had been painted in disgrace by the forest.
It can be seen that the forest has tried to modify it in the blank space, but there are too many modifications that are not enough in the blank space.
This made Xu Xiaoya feel a sense of frustration. Although writing a script is not her strength, she can clearly realize this, but she is still hit by the forest.
Moreover, looking at the dense text, she couldn't help but complain that she could clearly modify it directly on the electronic version, and according to this level of modification, she could even write a copy in the forest, but she insisted on using this original method.
But as she kept entering the new script into the computer, the little unhappiness in her heart soon disappeared, and she was gradually impressed by the charm of the new script.
The original "Drizzle" has many tragic conflicts because it is difficult to highlight the lives of migrant workers. However, the new "Spring Rain" directly changed these tragic conflicts into the suffering of migrant workers' children. Occasionally, Xu Xiaoya will smile knowingly because of the humorous plot in the script.
After watching the first show, Xu Xiaoya had forgotten her work, and stopped her hand on the keyboard, and instead focused on reading the script. She was completely attracted by the new script.
The noisy plot between students and principals, students and parents, parents and principals seems a bit humorous, but it reveals a hint of helplessness.
However, if you don't observe carefully, this helplessness will be ignored.
But soon, as the story develops, the plot reaches its climax, and all the relationships of the characters are entangled together, colliding with absurd black fire.
The humor came to an abrupt end, and the helplessness and tragedy were released quickly.
The best part is that the tragedy of the climax part is not achieved through exaggerated lines and violent emotional changes in the characters, but is naturally a sense of irony that echoes the previous plot.
There is also the ending. In the original script, Xu Xiaoya threw out some touching lines in order to sublimate the theme, but was abandoned in the new script and took the initiative to move towards stability, leaving a mirror-like water surface after the stormy waves.
Because the script was cut off a lot of plots and was originally written by Xu Xiaoya, she read it very quickly and finished the entire script in less than an hour.
After reading it, she let out a soft sigh.
Before, she thought that at most, the forest would just change the unreasonable lines, but she didn't expect that he was so bold. She even felt that this was no longer her previous script, although the story was about the same direction.
Xu Xiaoya pressed her hands on the script. She didn't know how good the director's level was, but at least the screenwriter's level exceeded her imagination. Even if this person is not a director, he should be able to make a great fortune as a screenwriter.
"Hey, why haven't they come back yet? Didn't they go to see the practice room?" Xu Xiaoya looked at her watch. It had been an hour since her brother and Linzhong went to the practice room.
With doubts, she walked out of the office to go to the practice room to check it out, but as soon as she left the door, she saw a bunch of people sitting in the lounge. Only then did she remember that it was time for the actor to audition.
Xu Xiaodong and Helen from the front desk were busy greeting the actors who came to audition, while Lin Zhong was missing.
Xu Xiaoya went over and pulled her brother aside and asked, "Where is Director Lin?"
"In the practice room, he has brought several actors into the audition." Xu Xiaodong thrust in the direction of the practice room, then raised a piece of A4 paper in his hand, "He asked me to send this paper to other actors who came to interview."
"What is above?" Xu Xiaoya curiously took the paper from Xu Xiaodong's hand and started looking.
At first, when she saw the long and long lines above, she thought it was an excerpt from the script of "The Drizzle", but after reading a few lines, she realized that she was wrong. This was not the script of "The Drizzle", but a new script.
It only takes one page in total, and it doesn’t take long. Xu Xiaoya read the full script and asked, “Did he say where did he come from?”
Xu Xiaodong shook his head, "I didn't say that, but he copied the word document from his computer. He just printed it out by Helen. If you touch it, the paper is still hot."
Thinking of the possibility that the script was written by Lin Zhong herself, Xu Xiaoya was in a complicated mood. She suddenly believed that the guess that Lin Zhong was a laity mentioned before. Although it was very ridiculous, the more she looked at it, the more she looked.
The script in her hand tells the story of a landlord's widow pretending to be loyal to the deceased husband for life, but encountering a veteran who broke into the door to ask for debts. Both sides attacked each other, hatred escalated, and eventually developed to a duel. However, the ending was absurd. The veteran actually fell in love with the landlord's widow, and the duel turned into courtship, and then the ending was a long kiss between the two.
Seeing the ending, Xu Xiaoya's face turned slightly red, and at the same time she felt that the ending was too absurd. After a few words, the two fell in love?
But, although the ending is absurd, it is not unreasonable. Of course, she cannot see true love from this "love", but she sees endless ridicule.
The landlord's widow was slapped in the face. She originally insisted on keeping her chastity for her deceased husband, but her final refusal made her previous vows ridiculous.
There was also the veteran who came to collect debts in a fierce manner and did his best to mock the woman, but in the end he suddenly fell in love with the other person.
Their pretentiousness and hypocrisy were sarcastic.
Of course, Xu Xiaoya saw more than that. The monologue and dialogue conversion in this one-act drama are very interesting, and it specifically tests the actor's skills.
She understood a little why Lin Zhong used this script as an audition script, probably just to examine the actors' dialogue and monologue skills.
However, although it is a one-act drama, the length is not short. If the actors really have to perform all the ends, it would probably be enough for a few people to interview today, so she guessed that the actors who auditioned only had a few lines to say.
She looked at the a4 paper in her hand again, frowned and said, "Why is this font so small, it's almost impossible to see clearly."
Xu Xiaodong shrank his head, "I originally said that I used large fonts, but Brother Lin said that he was working hard to start the mountains and forests. He needed to save costs at the beginning of his business."
