Secondly, its distance is shorter, two or three thousand kilometers less than the Siberian Railway. There are many ports without freezing period along the way. The regional economy of these ports is relatively prosperous compared to Siberia, so it has a huge throughput and is suitable for land-sea transport.

Generally speaking, the Second Eurasian Continental Bridge can save one-quarter to one-fifth of the freight compared to sea transportation, and time can save more than one month. These advantages alone have a huge attraction to China, which is eager to enter the European market.

In fact, China, the original historical period, began to promote the opening of the second Eurasian continental bridge at the first time after the collapse of the Soviet Union. It coordinated contact with Kazakhstan and Russia, and started to open up this continental artery since 1992.

However, Hu Wenhai's idea is slightly different from this route. The second Eurasian continental bridge originally planned was a two north-south main section of Kazakhstan, passing through Moscow, and reaching the European part.

But the problem is that the Soviet railway inherited by Kazakhstan is a wide-gauge standard, while the Chinese railway has a standard gauge. This investment is so great that with China's national strength in the 21st century in history, it has not been able to handle it.

Moreover, in order to build the New Eurasian Continental Bridge, in addition to economic issues, it also involves many international diplomatic issues. Kazakhstan, Russia, Russia and Ukraine, the situation on this mid-line is actually quite good.
