Chapter 422 The Battle of the Town (2)

The 250 light armored vehicles of the reconnaissance company rushed to the front of the battle group, and surrounded the fleeing Soviet infantry along the way.

The scouts shouted out in a weirdly pronounced Russian, repeatedly speaking a few words they knew very little.

"I see you, surrender, or shoot."

In the wilderness, the Soviet infantry's legs could not beat the armored vehicles at all. They could only throw away their weapons, stop running, and raise their hands high toward the scouts.

The Soviet soldiers hiding in the grass and lying in the wheat fields did not escape the sharp gazes of the scouts. They were caught out of the hiding places and joined the ranks of prisoners of war in dejected manner.

Those soldiers who were lucky enough to let the Germans shout, just hid in the dark corner and were motionless, then fired by machine guns, and were forever deprived of their ability to move.

Clearing out obstacles on the offensive road, the scouts rushed to the vicinity of Zapollus town and did not launch an attack immediately. Instead, they transformed themselves into the task of taking the responsibility of artillery observation posts.

Radio waves came and went between the Berezinna River. On the positions of the artillery regiment of the Guard Flag Team Division, the wild bees and wasps fired slowly raised their large gun barrels, and then let out a roar.

Scouts near the town of Zapoles heard a pleasant whistling sound, tons of shells flew across the Berezine River and landed in the town of Zapoles.

The scene of Soviet artillery raging the town of Vislova immediately appeared on the Soviet army's heads. More than forty gray-white miniature mushroom clouds rose at the same time, instantly covering the town of Zapoles.

Countless soil, branches, grass and broken bricks flew into the sky, smoke and dust enveloped the town, everything looked foggy and unique hazy beauty.

Captain Pipp and his subordinates then rushed outside the town. Taking advantage of the Soviet army being suppressed by artillery fire, the 81mm mortar was lifted up. The machine gunners also looked for suitable terrain and pointed the black hole muzzle at Zapollus Town. The armored vehicles of the reconnaissance company turned the front of the car and turned to the north of the town, and three No. 3 assault guns followed behind them.

After everything was ready, the soldiers of Captain Pipp's troops bent over and quickly approached the town of Zapollus, which was covered by artillery fire. Until they thought the critical distance and walked further forward, they could be accidentally injured by their own artillery fire.

The time was ripe, and Captain Paip decisively stopped the shelling. The hissing sound of the mg42 machine gun fired and the sound of the mortar fired replaced the heavy artillery. The infantry jumped out of the wheat fields and rushed into the town while firing.

As Captain Paip expected, the Soviet tanks in the town were consumed in the first two battles. There was no trace of tanks on the edge of the town, only the flames emitted by machine guns and artillery fire, and sometimes mortar shells fell into the German charge team.

A 45mm anti-tank gun squatted on the side of a road southwest of the village, firing frantically at the German army. The target pointed directly at the No. 3 assault gun on the battlefield, but was hit on the head by a 75mm grenade. The gunner was either dead or injured and lying on the gun position.

Another more powerful 76.2mm anti-tank gun was hidden behind the firewood pile just west of the village. Two guns were fired in a row and a No. 3 assault gun was destroyed. However, it was then attacked by an 81mm mortar shell, and the gunner was killed and injured.

After destroying two anti-tank guns, the Soviet army in the village lost the powerful weapon to resist the assault guns. The No. 3 assault gun on the battlefield was able to let go. Under the precise direct aim, the machine gun fire points were swallowed by the flames. The shrapnel flew horizontally, and the machine gunner's body was torn to pieces.

The Soviet army's firepower net had a flaw. The soldiers of the armed SS rushed up and rushed into the town of Zapoles, fighting with the Soviet army in the town for houses. In the ruins of the town, German soldiers wearing brown, yellow, green camouflages and Soviet soldiers wearing grass green uniforms were mixed together, and shot at each other with submachine guns, assault rifles and pistols. The grenades also dragged white smoke and dust, flew over the corners of the house or the broken walls, bringing death to the enemy opposite.

Seeing that the infantry of the vanguard had rushed into the town, Captain Paip decisively sent an infantry company as a reserve team, intending to take down the town in one go, but he suddenly heard a terrifying whistling sound in the sky.

"Let's go down, lie down." Captain Pip's face was ferocious and shouted loudly to the troops.

Captain Pipp shouted and jumped out of the car, and flew into the drainage ditch on the side of the road.

The infantry in the charge fell down in an instant, most of them were experienced veterans and the new recruits who heard their reminders.

However, some new recruits were not prepared and were covered by sudden artillery fire. The broken limbs and arms flew into the air with the air waves, and then fell to the ground.

It’s the damn Soviet artillery again. I must find you and let you know the consequences of angering me.

Captain Pipp squatted in the drainage ditch, gritting his teeth and thinking.

The operation in the reinforcement town was interrupted by Soviet artillery fire. Captain Paip looked angrily at the infantry company suppressed by artillery fire outside the town, and then looked to the north of Zapollus town.

Fortunately, the reconnaissance company went to Zhenbei. Since the Soviet artillery was focused on itself, their roundabout encirclement should be smoother.

In the north of Zapollus town, Captain Nietzsche jumped off the No. 3 assault gun, trotted behind the assault gun, and used the No. 3 assault gun as cover to launch a charge.

The fierce battle in the town was in a stalemate, and he firmly believed that as long as they rushed into the town, the Soviet army in the town would be in a state of decline.

The Soviet army in the town was attracted to street fighting, and Captain Nietzsche and the scouts rushed into the town at one charge.

Being attacked by the German army on both sides, the Soviet army in the town could no longer hold on and fled one after another.

The soldiers of the armed SS opened fire on the exposed backs of the Soviet soldiers without mercy and knocked them to the ground.

Captain Nietzsche joined the pursuit, but was forced to stop.

With an extremely familiar loud bang, a 250 light armored vehicle chasing him was swallowed by flames, and the entire body of the car exploded into parts.

The mg42 machine gun on the roof of the car swirled and passed by Captain Nietzsche and hit a German soldier beside him. The soldier immediately collapsed to the ground with flesh and blood.

What's going on? It seemed that the loud noise just now seemed to have been heard somewhere. Captain Nietzsche hid behind a building, observing the situation on the battlefield, while searching for the loud noise just now in his memory.

It seemed as if it was the sound of the 152mm grenade on the KV-2 firing, Captain Nietzsche was struggling to remember the source of the loud noise.

That's right, it's kv-2. Captain Nietzsche's eyes passed over the wreckage of the 250 light armored vehicle and kept searching for the front of the street.

It was not until the second loud noise that a house was destroyed along with two German soldiers next to it that Captain Nietzsche found the existence of the kv-2.

There is an open ground at the end of the street, with small cranes placed on it, and some tank parts are scattered on the ground, which looks like a small tank repair shop.

A square turret was exposed behind the rear of a T-34 tank, as if it were a huge public toilet on the streets of Berlin. It was the shape of the KV-2 turret. The 152mm tank gun with a black hole on the turret was facing the street, and there was still smoke that had not yet dissipated.

Where did this guy come from? Why didn’t he participate in the war just now?

Kill it and don't block the way.

Captain Nietzsche made up his mind and rushed across the street, crossed the two houses, moved to another street, and quietly touched the end of the street. (To be continued.)
