Chapter 189 Alexander the bloodless

The fall of Alahman means that the Axis team can march unimpeded into the hinterland of Egypt.

Major General Alan's surrender means that the last field force of the British colonial army in Egypt was eliminated, and the Axis Team could gallop across the empty Egypt.

The Alexandria, Cairo and the Suez Canal are like ripe peaches placed in front of the Axis Team, making people unable to wait to pick them.

As the closest "peach" to Alahman, Alexandria attracted the coveted gaze of the German and Italian teams with its unparalleled temptation.

Marshal Graziani rushed to Alahman with him, and accompanied him was the Malati battle group of the 2nd Division of the Italian Blackshirt Army. This battle group was under its command of two tank battalions and six motorized infantry battalions. It was the only motorized force in the 10th Italian Army.

The arrival of Marshal Graziani also opened up a mystery, allowing Rommel and others to know that the Italian fleet was recruited by Marshal Graziani.

Marshal Graziani's intention to mobilize troops was obvious, just to compete for military merit.

In the town of Alamein, Marshal Graziani was willing to give countless praises to Rommel, and he even described Rommel as a famous general who was comparable to Caesar and Napoleon.

Outside the town of Alama, the Malati battle group took advantage of the great opportunity of Marshal Graziani to restrain Rommel and others. The rolling wheels brought out countless smoke and dust, and threatened toward Alexandria a hundred kilometers away.

Marshal Graziani stopped his firepower until his mouth was dry, and his eyes swept around Rommel, then asked in confusion: "Where is General Rosen?"

Rommel, who was blushing and forced himself to hold back the discomfort in his stomach and smiled at Marshal Graziani.

"He has led his troops to Alexandria. I am about to lead my subordinates to set out. Please ask the British prisoners outside the town of Alama and the marshal to deal with it."

Damn it, and it gave the Germans a step ahead. Marshal Graziani couldn't help but complain.

"As the supreme commander of the coalition forces, I cannot always accept good news from the rear. I must come to the front line to set an example for our soldiers. Let's go together and go to Alexander. As for the defense here and the captives outside the town, you can find a way to solve it." Marshal Graziani said righteously.

Rommel raised his right hand as if nothing had happened to cover his stomach and forcibly suppressed his "subsiders" who were almost rebelling. He said with a smile: "It is an honor for the African army to be able to fight side by side with you."

Under Rommel's insightful gaze as sharp as X-rays, Marshal Graziani couldn't help but blushed and hurriedly stood up to hide his anxiety.

"Time is very precious, we must set out now, and we must arrive at Alexandria before dark, and strive to seize it tomorrow."

When the Axis Team rushed towards Alexandria at a rapid speed, Alexandria had already lost its former peace.

The bomber group consisting of more than 100 fighter jets flew over Alexandria and threw countless bombs onto the Royal Air Force airport in the south of the port, which also brought endless panic to the residents in the port.

The ju-88 and ju-87 bombers dived down at an angle almost perpendicular to the ground, smashing S series bombs into the airport's buildings.

Under the bombardment of 50 kilograms, 250 kilograms, or even 500 kilograms of bombs, the gray-white smoke and the flames that swallowed everything covered every building on the airport.

Amid the deafening explosions, the navigation tower, hangar, oil depot and dormitory disappeared without a trace. Only ruins and craters of varying depths were left, and even the sentry guardhouses at the airport gate did not escape the fate of turning into ruins.

The he-111 bomber formation is even more brutal, and they drop countless 50 kilograms of bombs in neat formation.

The dense rain of bullets covered the sky, and then plowed the airport runway carefully.

After the purgatory flames, only the mottled runway was left, the broken corpses and the wreckage of planes everywhere.

The Royal Air Force did not sit and wait for death. More than 60 anti-aircraft guns of various types spewed out dazzling fire snakes and shot revenge shells at German fighter jets in the air.

Anti-aircraft shells exploded in the sky with white cotton candies, and German fighters shuttled and froze into these white smoke and clouds, stirring up a ball with British fighters.

Only seven of the only eleven hurricane fighters left at the airport successfully took off, but in the blink of an eye, they were bitten by twenty-four me-109 fighters, and then they fell head to the ground with flames and black smoke, leaving only white parachutes and helpless drivers in the air.

The residents in the port looked at the sky in horror, muttering words in their mouths, hoping to get blessings and not let the same bad luck fall on their heads.

In a barracks northeast of Alexandria, Captain Mills walked anxiously in front of the barracks, and did not stop until Major Turner appeared.

"What's our next move? Fight or evacuation?"

Major Turner wiped the sweat from his forehead and said helplessly: "Alexandria can no longer defend, and the order given to us by our superiors is to retreat all the people."

Captain Mills said angrily: "We have just arrived here this morning, and we will retreat again next, where to retreat? East or south?"

"Look south, go to Cairo, where we will do the final battle there," said Major Turner.

Captain Mills's eyes flashed with an unusually dazzling light.

"Is it because our reinforcements arrived? But why didn't they come? I think Alexander is the most important city in Egypt."

"Don't ask me, I don't know if we can defend Cairo. I only know that we have less than three thousand troops in Alexandria, and we can't defend it at all." Major Turner said with a wry smile.

Captain Mills looked around, then lowered his voice and said, "Do you think we can keep Cairo?"

Major Turner glanced at Captain Mills in surprise, then shook his head.

"I have no idea."

"If Cairo cannot be defended, we'd better retreat directly to the east bank of the Suez Canal to avoid unnecessary sacrifices." Captain Mills said.

"We must set out with Alexander's defenders and not act alone," said Major Turner.

Captain Mills' eyes turned and continued, "When will we set off? I'll gather my men."

An hour and a half later, a convoy full of British teams drove out from the southeast of Alexandria.

Major Turner secretly thanked that he could withdraw from Alexandria before the enemy arrived, but did not realize that two were missing from his loyal Captain Mills's subordinates.

At 7:40 pm that day, shortly after Chen Dao led the Hermann Goering Division and the Great German Regiment into the empty Alexander, two "British soldiers" were taken into his temporary division headquarters.

"Who gives them the courage to fight us in Cairo?"

After listening to the report of the two "British soldiers", Colonel Starkhausen said contemptuously.
