Chapter 44: The Fall of Chuwang Tower (2)

Chapter 44: Conquering Chu Wangtai (2)

Just when the Eighth Battalion was just in chaos, Cai Jimin was leading a group of soldiers with live ammunition to patrol and guard the camp back and forth in the camp.

"Hello, sir..."

"Hello……"

The soldiers I met on the road all respected him. Even those who were not very good at him had to admit that within these twenty-nine yards, if you have prestige, this person would not have to be as good as the three leaders. Especially since the Baolu Uprising in Sichuan, the 29th Biao was transferred to Sichuan, and although his position had not been promoted, he was actually in charge of the second battalion as the management matters of the second battalion!

Although Cai Jimin is a little short and thin, he is not even famous in history. In fact, if he had not been good-natured and did not like to fight for power and power, and his premature death, he would have made a lot of money in the history of later generations!

Cai Jimin, whose original name was Guozhen, was Xiangpu, and was Youxiang. The Cai family in Huangpi was slaughtered. He was good at classics and history and was good at poetry and prose. In the 27th year of the Guangxu period (1901), he joined the Hubei New Army and later entered the Hubei Army (Special) Primary School. Soon, he served as the chief of the second battalion of the 29th Battalion of the 15th Association of the 8th Town of the Army. In 1906, he participated in the organization of the Daily News and participated in the Communist Party of China, successively, and joined the school research group, the group academic club, and the literary club. He joined the introduction of Cha Guang Buddha and served as the Senate Minister of the Hubei Branch of the China Tongmenghui. When the Sichuan Road Protection Movement reached its climax, he tried his best to promote the joint promotion meeting, the literary club and the platoon plan to formulate an uprising plan. It can be said that he was one of the leaders of the Wuchang Uprising and one of the few leaders who escaped the pursuit of the Qing Dynasty.

On October 9, 1911, the uprising plan was exposed. On the morning of the 10th, the three martyrs Peng, Liu and Yang were killed, and the situation was urgent. Because the Russian police accidentally tore off the list with his name, it happened that the foot was his name, Cai Jimin escaped the arrest of the Qing Dynasty and lurked in pain. Earlier today, the situation in the city was chaotic, and the arrest teams ruled out from the Governor's Office and the Eighth Town were everywhere in the city.

The uprising commander exposed on the list was found. He was lucky enough to be exposed in the morning, and he used the excuse of preventing the new army from rebelling in the city at the meeting of the 29th Biao Chiefs. He suggested sending enough ammunition to the soldiers and strengthening patrols to deal with extraordinary situations. After receiving the order, he armed the 29th Biao's team of soldiers who were in the heart of the revolution, and sent Yan Zhongzhi and three others to various parts of the city, hoping to contact the new army of the other battalions in the city.

At 7:30 that night, because the eighth battalion of the project was exposed, he had to launch an uprising in advance. He was closest to him and led the comrades in the 29th battalion to respond. He first controlled the 29th battalion and then led the armed revolutionary army to attack the Supervisor, laying the foundation for the new army in the city to gather at the Chuwangtai Ordnance. However, because of this, he lost the command position of the new army in the city, and gave Wu Zhaolin, the centrist. He was meticulous, but he lacked some military command methods. The Supervisor, who was guarding the high wall with flesh and blood, made the Qing army guarding the city with heavy troops, even though the Qing soldiers around him were unable to support the uprising in the city, had suffered huge casualties and injuries, and he still could not attack. Fortunately, he was eager and wise, and he was able to win the attack.

He poured cotton coats and kerosene on fire, and immediately set fire to the Governor's Office, and provided shooting targets for the artillery team. This seriously injured the defenders in the Governor of the Supervisor. However, the 29th Biao, who had lost strength, was unable to pursue them. As a result, the Governor of Huguang Ruicheng and the Eighth Zhenzheng Zhang Biao and others escaped. Later, he led his team to capture the Vanguard Office. The Hubei Military Government was established, and because he did not like to fight for power, he only became the main person in charge of the strategy department. The Yangxia War broke out, Huang Xing went to Han to serve as commander-in-chief, and Cai served as deputy director of the management department. Every time he fought, he would go to supervise the battle in person. Huang called him a "giant of the soldiers in Hubei." Later, he was in charge of the Military Affairs Department, and he taught the army and all the officers were in charge. Zhang Taiyan praised him as "the twenty-eight generals of the Later Han Dynasty". In order to provide compensation to the wounded army, he presided over the establishment of the iron-blooded wounded army Bishu, served as the president, and also set up an orphan and a remedial house for education.

In October 1912, Yuan Shikai was awarded the title of lieutenant general of the army, but he refused to accept the telegram. Yuan transferred him to Beijing and stayed in Hubei without going to go. In early 1913, he served as chief of staff of the governor of Hubei Li Yuanhong. The "Song case" broke out and participated in the formation of an improvement group in Hubei, presided over the anti-Yuan, and left Japan after the failure. The following year, he joined the Chinese Revolutionary Party. Yuan sent lobbyists to Japan many times, and persuaded him to return to China, but was unmoved. In January 1915, he was appointed as the commander-in-chief of the Hubei Revolutionary Army by Sun Yat-sen. In the spring of 1916, he convened an old movement in Wuhan.

The artillery team was defeated due to poor cooperation. In November 1917, he participated in the independent battle of Jingxiang, and once raised an army to capture Longping, Guangji, Hubei, and entered Kewuxue. After the defeat, he transferred from Guangzhou to Sichuan to participate in the military meeting held by Tang Jiyao, commander-in-chief of the Sichuan-Guizhou-Yunnan coalition army. He then returned to Hubei and served as the commander-in-chief of the Hubei-Western National Army in Lichuan to carry out the protection struggle. On January 28, 1919, he was killed by the Sichuan Army commander Fang Huanan, and his remains were buried on the left side of Zhuodaiquan in Wuchang. The inscription was "Tomb of the First Rebellion Army Lieutenant General Cai Gong Jimin".

It seems that he did not make any amazing achievements except for the Wuchang Uprising, but after careful consideration, he also knew the root of it. Among the new Hubei army, the strongest and most influential one was the Gongjinhui. Although the Gongjinhui was nominally subordinate to the Tongmenghui, it was difficult for outsiders to know the internal disputes of interest. The second-hand Qunzhi Academy was pursued by the court and its power was not as strong as before. The literary club was the same. It lost too much blood during the pursuit of the Qing court before the uprising. Therefore, although Cai Jimin's status was respectful, it was actually not well-founded in the revolutionary party. In addition, he had never fought for power with others, and his assistants were good at

The ability to plan is not a battle, but a way to command. After the success of the Wuchang Uprising, Xiong Bingkun, who was on the front line and in the new army, had a foundation that was not as good as his, and had a Fifth Association commander and controlled thousands of soldiers. After the commander Huang Xing was defeated in Hanyang and fled with Beiyang, the situation in Wuchang was chaotic. A group of revolutionaries who were originally sitting in the backyard to compete for power and power suddenly had no idea and could only push out the neglected Li Yuanhong and command the revolutionary army to fight against the invading Beiyang Army. This made Li gradually build prestige in the revolutionary army. Soon after, he finally took away Sun Wu and others who had lost their military power, and completely grasped the power of Hubei.

Let's not mention these for now.

Let’s talk about Cai Jimin’s patrol when he suddenly heard a burst of rapid gunfire in his ears, and waved his hand to signal a team of soldiers on patrol to stop. When he heard it carefully, his face changed drastically.

What do you think? It turns out that when he heard that the gunshot actually came from the direction near Chuwangtai. If... if it was really as he thought, then things would be in trouble!

"Captain...is something happened there?"

The few people who followed Cai Jimin were all people who were interested in revolutionaries and knew the agreed time of justice. When they suddenly heard the gunshots coming from over there, they were immediately panicked and hurriedly surrounded him and asked him.

Cai Jimin's face turned gloomy, and he shook his head and looked over there with great concern, "I don't know, maybe something happened temporarily..."

Seeing Zhou people again, he changed his expression and the corners of his mouth were a little bitter, he thought for a while, "I'll ask brothers to prepare, let's..."

"Bang!"

A firecracker was from the Nanhu artillery camp. Cai Jimin originally planned to send a few people to take a look first, but now there is no way!

When Cai Jimin saw it, he thought he could no longer delay. He quickly raised the gun in his hand, pulled the bolt, fired a shot at Kong, and ordered the soldiers around him: "Hurry... control the camp quickly..."

Another patrol team not far from the camp heard the gunshots, and the leaders looked happy. After a glance, they took out the red silk sheets that had been prepared long ago and tied them to their arms. They also loaded the bullet, and then ran towards him!

After a few of them walked around the corner, they saw that Cai Jimin and others, who had already tied a red cloth strip, were overjoyed. Before the person arrived, they heard his cheer: "Brother Cai, are we going to be righteous now?"

Cai Jimin nodded and stepped forward two steps, walked between the two teams that were about to turn, smiled slightly, and showed a white teeth: "Li Henian, you will immediately attack the Zhongjun barracks with a team of people. Be sure to catch all the officers working there in one place. He Fei and Donghua went to the barracks to organize brothers to attack the 30th bid next to them. Let's take the camp as soon as possible, and then enter the military supervisor..."

Perhaps because of his deep skills in the staff, facing the sudden chaos, Cai Jimin was frightened but not panicked. He calmed down the panic caused by his advance in the fastest time, and even arranged the work he had to do in a few words. However, some of his nervousness was inevitable. He let out a secret breath, suppressed all distracting thoughts, and ordered a team of people to run out with him. When he passed by the barracks and dormitory building, he saw a group of new soldiers with red cloth tied on his arms on the opposite side carrying sand and soil bags blocking outside the barracks. A pair of people even poured bullets into the courtyard. Knowing that he had encountered the enemy, he immediately ordered the soldiers around him: "Everyone is there, let me fight on time!"

As he shouted, the gun in his hand also raised up, targeting an officer who was commanding with a command knife, and hit his shoulder with a bang. After losing command, the sniper team on the opposite side became panic... The gunshots in the barracks were loudly loud, and some soldiers who had not listened to the uprising of the engineering battalion now understood. They heard that the chaos in their own camp was in chaos and there were sounds of shooting everywhere. Since the commands of each team had quietly notified the time for the promotion of righteousness, everyone knew that the promotion of righteousness was going to be carried out in advance, so they grabbed their weapons one after another and rushed out of their respective barracks. The inside and outside quickly defeated the blocking Qing soldiers.

After turning back the soldiers rushing out of the barracks, Cai Jimin had already gathered hundreds of soldiers around him. According to his previous instructions, He Fei and Donghua, who were walking with him, rushed to the Thirty Bands next to him, and he and the remaining soldiers flocked to defeat the two groups of enemies sniped in the camp, rushed out of the camp and headed straight towards the direction of the supervisor!
