Section 6 Introduction
Section 6: Introductory words
On the morning of the next day, Schwab led Koro and Sir Liugudi to the place where Count Georg and the Ruveds fought. This was a flat ground that was almost unpredictable. The corpses of the Ruveds fell on the flat ground in a row, and only a group of crows hovered over the corpses, clamoring impatiently, as if driving Schwab and others who affected the crows' meals.
"It's so strange." Koro and his friends all had a linen soaked in spirits, a mask that Schwab made simply to avoid the plague.
"What's wrong?" Schwab asked.
"Look, sir. There is a hill there. Although it cannot be said that it completely resists the cavalry of Count Georg, it can at least slow down the charge of the knights. But these Ruvets gave up there and stayed in this plain without any danger, as if they were dying." Coro said in confusion. Are these Ruvets crazy or too confident in their own strength.
"Yes, there are many Ruoveids who die in all directions, which shows that they have no courage to fight at all, and are just looking for opportunities to escape. There are only a small number of Ruoveids who die in the direction of attacking the Earls of Georg." Liugudi looked at the corpses on the battlefield and added to Koro's words.
"Let me go and see what else can I find?" Schwab knew that all this must be confirmed with his own eyes. He walked to the middle of the body, and the dwarf Rud held Schwab, because Schwab's shoulder was injured and the wound had not yet fully healed.
"Be careful, my master." The dwarf Rod carefully held Schwab. Although it was in this cold wind, the body had begun to smell bad.
"Damn, these are not the Ruvedes, but a woman." Schwab moved away a Ruvedes' body. The dead Ruvedes were wearing a simple leather armor and a Ruvedes' eye-protecting helmet on his head. When Schwab moved the body, the helmet rolled down, revealing a long black hair. It was not the face of a Ruvedes' warrior, but the face of a woman.
"Is it a mercenary?"
"No, it's the same here. Although it's a man, I dare to bet with my life that this is definitely not a Ruvid." Coro also opened the corpse closest to him. He looked at the corpse carefully and said.
"This is not the troops of the NoVides, they are captured serfs and villagers. Damn bastards, we are fooled."
"What exactly are the intentions of the OVID people? Why did they send a group of serfs to attack us?"
"It's like giving us a victory."
"Let's go back to the castle and tell the Duke about this." Schwab said to Koro and others. The dwarf Rod immediately brought a horse, then helped Schwab onto the horse, and the group ran towards the castle.
At this time in the castle hall, the nobles quarreled with each other, and the quarrel could be heard outside the castle hall. Schwab dismounted and walked slowly into the hall, entering the chaotic hall.
"We can't stay here anymore. We're going to attack the damn OVID. Isn't this the reason why we gather here?"
"But the people of Oveid are not easy to mess with."
"Then we won't fight?"
"Fight."
"Fight."
"In the name of God, we will win." The young nobles led by Earl Georg shouted excitedly, and their momentum quickly overwhelmed Earl Baden and others.
"May God bless us." Earl Baden sat in vain on the chair, holding his forehead with his hands. The situation was no longer controlled. Duke Han Ruowei looked at these excited young nobles with a frown.
"Great adults, please allow me to say a few words." Schwab walked into the hall and saw this scene and said, the nobles quieted down to look at Schwab of the uninvited guest.
"Sir Schwab, do you have any good suggestions?" Duke Hanruowei breathed a sigh of relief. He raised his hand to let Schwab come forward. The aristocrats quarrel made Duke Hanruowei very annoyed.
"Great Duke, I have just returned from the battlefield between Earl Georg and the Oveids. My companions and I have investigated the bodies." Schwab said loudly to the Duke.
"Investigate the corpses?" The nobles looked at each other in confusion, not understanding why Schwab was going to look through the corpses. Isn't that the job of a lowly gravedigger?
"So, Sir Schwab, what did you find?" Yas walked out from the side, and he looked at Schwab with a cold look. At this moment, he wanted to take Schwab's head off in his heart.
"Of course, sir. I found that the one who fought against Count Georg that night was not the Ruvets." Schwab pretended not to see Yas' threat and continued, "They were all the serfs and villagers captured by the Ruvets, so those who fought against Count Georg that night were all the serfs."
"What, you dare to slander me." Earl Georg was almost fainted from anger. He raised his fist and smashed the wooden table beside him, making a sound.
"There is no such intention, Count Georg." Schwab quickly pressed his hand on his breastplate, then lowered his head slightly, and said without losing his noble demeanor.
"You mean, Earl Georg fought bravely all night, and just fought with a group of vulgar serfs, ha." Yas said in a stir-frying flame, with a sarcastic tone that made Earl Georg angry.
"Sir, since you don't believe us, why should we gather us together? I will lead my knights out of this castle immediately." Earl Georg stood up, bent down slightly to Duke Hanorvi, and then led the warlike Counts of the nobles out of the hall.
"Please wait for Count Georg." Duke Han Ruowei looked at the nobles who came out in shock. If these vassals wanted to lead the troops away, they would lose more than half of their troops. How to fight against the Ruowei people.
"What should I do?" Yas walked out of the hall with a smile in his heart.
"Sorry, Lord Duke, I have no intention of irritating Count Georg." Schwab did not expect that telling the facts would anger Georg, but the actions of the Oveids were too strange. If they succeeded, they would not know what kind of disaster would occur.
"You can't blame you, you just told the truth." Earl Baden walked to Schwab's side and patted Schwab's shoulder. Earl Baden was now full of affection for Schwab.
"What should I do now?" said Duke Han Ruowei.
"Let Countess Carolina convince the nobles." Earl Baden said. These nobles met the countess when they were very young, and it is more appropriate for the countess to convince them.
"Well, I will let my sister convince them." Duke Hanruowei nodded and agreed to let the Countess convince them.
After receiving the request from the Duke, the countess immediately stopped the Earl Georg and others who were about to leave. Although Earl Georg was still angry, he maintained the noble demeanor and patiently listened to the Countess's statement. After the Countess' repeated pleas, the nobles finally agreed not to leave here for the time being.
"That Schwab is not our side, and it's hard for me to bother to win him over." In Yas' room, Yas scolded Schwab at the Demon Mountain. What Schwab said in the hall would almost destroy his plan.
"Let me kill him." Moshan pressed the hilt of his sword and said, in his heart, no one who was against him was dead.
"No, I don't care about this Schwab yet. There has been a crack among the nobles. Now, only one battle will the Duke's troops be defeated."
"But, hasn't the Countess stopped Earl Georg and the others?"
"Haha, so what? Now the Earl of Georg and the others have hated Earl Baden so much. How could he obey his command? Although Earl of Georg and the others have not left, they have planned to challenge the Ruvids alone."
"Then, your plan will be successful."
"That's right." Yas said proudly. As long as the duke fails, his reputation will definitely drop sharply. The vassals will definitely question the duke's leadership, and then he will come forward to win over the vassals to his side.
"Mr. Palace Prime Minister, Sir Schwab visited." The attendant knocked on Yas's door and reported to Yas.
"Shwab? What is he going to do?" Yas suddenly stood up. The Demon Mountain beside him shook his armor and pulled out the giant sword at his waist halfway, and the sword in the room became tense in an instant.
"Put your sword away, don't kill him here." Yas Bye bye bye, letting Demon Mountain leave from the room connected to his bedroom, "Let him come in."
"Master Yas." Schwab walked into Yas' room. Yas sat in the middle of the room and looked at Schwab who was walking in. Yas was playing with a sharp little dagger in his hand. The dagger flipped back and forth in Yas's palm, and the light emitted reflected on Schwab's face.
"Sir Schwab, why are you free to come to me?" Yas looked at Schwab with a meaningful gaze, and Schwab stood in front of Yas without caring.
"You are the one who instigated the Earl of Georg, Lord Yas."
"What evidence do you have?" Yas would not be fooled by Schwab.
"No need to admit that Lord Yas, I'm trying to save you."
"Save me?" Yas asked in confusion.
"Yes, Lord Yas, I'll guess your plan without authorization. You are planning to let Lord Duke be defeated by the Oveids, and then let the vassals abandon Lord Duke."
"This is all your nonsense and slander."
