Section 41 Encounter

Chapter 41: Encountering Battle

"Sir, our village is ahead." The elder's youngest son led Schwab to his village, but before he arrived, he saw the rolling smoke rising. The people of Oveid burned the village before leaving.

"Koro leads a few cavalry to investigate." Schwab rode his horse and ordered Koro behind him. Koro waved his hand and led a few light cavalry to the village. The cavalry drove the war horses under his crotch to search for survivors in the burned village, but there was nothing but the destroyed buildings and the bodies of several villagers on the ground.

"Sir Schwab, there are no survivors, these damn beasts." Koro reported to Schwab in anger. Schwab looked at the burned village and found the elder's youngest son.

"Did those Ruvids captured all the people in the village?"

"Yes, sir." The elder's youngest son looked at his home in sorrow, worried about his family who was unknown to life and death.

"It seems that the people of Ruvid are planning to play sweeping." Schwab thought about the big sweeping of the Japanese. This was a thorough implementation of the three-light policy. "Where is the nearest village here?"

"It's less than ten miles downstream of the river." The elder's youngest son said quickly.

"Okay, those Ruvid must be there, where can we find them."

"Okay, sir, guys go forward."

Under the command, the soldiers of the Mark Legion began a marching marches. They advanced along the river toward another village, and Koro led several cavalry to reconnaise in front.

"Damn the Ruvedes, if you find them, they will definitely look good." Koro rode his horse and looked around for traces of the Ruvedes. Just as they were advancing by the river, they suddenly heard the sound of horse hooves. Koro shuddered and pulled out the sword beside him. The sound of the sword being unsheathed made the other cavalry alert, and they looked at them nervously.

"Damn it, it's the Ruvedes." Koro saw the horned helmet gradually exposed from the low-lying area. He shouted loudly to send an alarm to his surrounding partners, and Ruvedes were also startled. They did not expect to see the army here.

"Ah wow." Although he was startled, the Ruvid Tomahawk cavalry immediately reacted. They shouted loudly, raised the tomahawk and drove the war horse under their crotch, and rushed towards Koro and the others.

"Charge them, kill them." Koro waved the sword in his hand and rushed forward with the spurs knocking the horse's belly. The cavalry behind him followed closely. Most of the Mark cavalry trained by Koro held heavy carriages. They aimed the carriages straight ahead and attacked the enemy with the speed of horse charge. The roar of horse hooves on both sides gradually approached. Koro put down his mask and shouted his family's war slogan, "Honor is my life."

The war horses neighed and rushed together under the control of their master on their backs. The Mark cavalry relied on the advantage of the carriage rifle to knock down the two tomahawk cavalry directly. The carriage rifle pierced into their chests, smashing the sternum of the tomahawk cavalry at high speed, and blood spurted out from their mouths. It seemed that it was beyond help, but the remaining brave Novedes weakened the Mark cavalry's speed with the sacrifice of their companions. They waved the tomahawk and started a close battle with the Mark cavalry immediately.

"Ah." The axe of a tomahawk cavalry slashed the face of the Mark cavalry, slashing the cavalry's face in half, and blood sprayed on the face of the Oveids.

"Damn." Koro stabbed a Ruvid cavalry with his sword, but was blocked by the opponent's round shield. He drove the horse around to the other side. After all, the horse was an animal. The shaking left and right made the battle on the horse very difficult, "Attack, attack."

The Mark cavalry also received close combat training, but compared with Koro, a knight who is a profession of war, their will is too weak and their combat skills are very limited. Although they draw out swords to resist, the fierce Novedes attacked wildly regardless of their own safety, which made these Mark cavalry frightened. Seeing their companions around them cut off their heads by blood-stained battle axes and split their chests, finally some of the Mark cavalry began to escape on their horses.

"Bastard, damn coward, come back to fight." Koro was so angry that he smoked his orifices, and was accidentally chopped off his shoulder by the enemy's axe. Fortunately, he was protected by a plate armor on his shoulder. Koro groaned and stabbed the Ruvid man who was only concerned about attacking. Blood spurted out with the sword. Koro took the opportunity to push the Ruvid man off the horse. He fought and retreated. Suddenly, several flying axes were thrown over. Koro carefully avoided the flying axe and skillfully avoided the trees.

"Sir, some southern cavalry have been found in front of him." Roddy, who was plundering the village here, was stunned when he heard the report of the soldiers of Ruvid, and then became excited. He pulled out his battle axe and looked in the direction of the attack.

"Leading people to fight, we can finally end this boring work." The plundering was quite interesting at the beginning. When no one resisted, Roddy gradually became a little bored. He was looking forward to a battle in his heart, and God Odin heard his prayers and sent the southerners for him to fight.

"Bring me with me," Shari shouted quickly, the crisp voice made everyone else look at him, but no one dared to care about the leader's son's affairs.

"You stay here to watch over these prisoners." Roddy turned around and said, he didn't want anything to happen to Sari.

"Bastard Roddy." Sari pouted her little mouth angrily, looking at Roddy who led the Ruvid Warriors.

When Roddy arrived at the battlefield, he was seeing Coro hiding in the woods. He saw Coro in chain armor and plate armor. His eyes lit up. This was a knight. Roddy roared and rushed towards the woods. The remaining two tomahawk cavalrymen also had a great morale when they saw Roddy. They surrounded Roddy together.

"My Lord, please give me the courage to face these damn demons." Seeing the approaching people of Ruvid, the blood-stained Koro uncovered his mask and kissed the sword in his hand. He no longer escaped and decided to fight to the death.

"Odin." The Tomahawk cavalry of the Ruvids shouted the name of the Nordic heretic god, raised the Tomahawk and ran towards the Korozer horse. The rear end of the Tomahawk was narrow and long, and the front section was thin and sharp, which was very suitable for chopping and killing. With one swing, it could break ordinary chain armor.

"Honor is my life." Koro shouted the battle horn again. He used his sword to hold the battle axe and leaned back, allowing the battle axe to slide over him. The battle axe cavalry could not hold back the running horse and passed by Coro. Koro took the opportunity to slash the back of the battle axe cavalry with a sword. The battle axe cavalry did not have armor like Koro, and he screamed and fell from the running horse. All this happened in an instant.

"It's worthy of being a knight." Looking at Koro's superb combat skills, Roddy sincerely praised him. He waved his hand and asked his subordinates to stop the attack and drove forward by himself.

"I am Rody, the son of Soren, the vassal of King Ruvied. Please report your name." Rody asked Coro loudly in order to show respect to a warrior.

"Knight Coro Jean Massimo, son of Baron Serman."

"Okay, Coro, if you can defeat me, let you go."

"Hmph, this is so easy."

"Then let's try it." Roddy pulled out his sword and rode towards Koro, and Koro took a deep breath, put down his mask, and walked around a big tree. Roddy frowned and had to weaken his horse's speed. Both sides fought around the big tree that was thick with one person. The fighting people around the surrounding Ruvids let out rough laughs and cheers.

"Ping, Ping." The fighting sounds made by the sword and the sword made the soldiers excited. Roddy was young and powerful. His moves opened and closed, and the sharp sword was full of wind. Koro's swordsmanship was sophisticated that he often easily resolved the sword stunning in front of him. While fighting, both sides instigated the horse under their crotch, so that the horse could keep moving and gaining a favorable position.

"Work well, young man, who did you learn your sword skills?" Coro was a little surprised at his opponent's sword skills, which was from the south.

"My father asked a slave from the south to teach me. Although I only studied for a while, the captive told me that I was doing well." Roddy said, and stabbed Koro with his sword without hesitation. "It is said that the slave was still a baron."

"Ha, is the title of Baron so worthless now?" Coro thought it was just a lie.

"Who cares about this? He is just a more useful slave to my father. Damn it." Roddy was accidentally stabbed in the arm by Koro, but his exquisite chain armor helped him block the attack.

"You're lucky, boy." Koro said proudly. Sword skills are exquisite combat skills. How could a young boy who has not practiced for a few days be the opponent of the Knight?

"It's really damn, I told my father that I don't like using such sissy things." Roddy threw away the sword in anger and pulled out the battle axe from her waist. Roddy, holding the battle axe in her hand, seemed to have changed to another person. He roared loudly and slashed the battle axe heavily at Koro's head. Koro quickly held it with the sword, but Roddy's strange power made him almost unable to hold the sword.

"Damn the Novid." Coro quickly used his skillful riding skills to make the horse under his crotch take a few steps before stabilizing the formation. However, Roddy's unyielding slashing made Coro almost overwhelmed and complained in his heart. It seemed that his life was about to be explained here.

"Wow." Roddy opened his eyes wide and used all his strength to cut from the upper left direction of Coro. He was confident that this blow would definitely kill the knight.

"It's over." Colo was almost closing his eyes and waiting to die. At this time, a crossbow arrow brushed over Colo's helmet and shot at Roddy. Roddy hurriedly held the battle axe and avoided the crossbow arrow.
