Section 38 Raymond

Chapter 38: Raymond

The church in Sayvo Castle is placed in the courtyard. There are crosses made of iron on the dome. The gray-white buildings and the surrounding green vegetation are reflected. When you walk into the church, the sounds of prayers and choruses echoing inside make the people entering it feel sacred. Schwab and Remond walked to the door and placed a small marble pool at the door. Some clear water ripped in the pool. Schwab was surprised to find that it was a small spring.

"May the Lord bless you!" Remond put his hand in the pool, dipped it with his index finger, and then crossed his forehead. Schwab did as he did.

"Come on, child." The monk called Remond to the other side, and Schwab looked at the chapel curiously. The pillars in the church were precious marble pillars, the ground was smooth mosaic, and the church was filled with spices for worshiping God. Schwab couldn't believe that this was a backward building. There were several arched windows around the top, and the sunlight passed through the windows, like the hand of God entering this sacred temple.

"This building actually appeared in my eyes." Schwab raised his head with emotion and looked at the pastel on the wall, mainly depicting stories in the Bible.

After completing the loan, Remond led Schwab to the main tower, which was the residence where the lord rested. Remond seemed very upset and paced in front of Schwab.

"Dear Sir Schwab, how many people do you have now?" Remond suddenly turned around and asked.

"About two hundred people, but they are all warable warriors, and they are definitely not dead souls." Schwab said. He said this with a basis. Mercenaries often use the elderly, weak, sick and disabled to defraud commissions. Such people are called dead souls.

"Okay, I've hired you all, how many knights do you have?" Remond was very anxious, and he eagerly hoped that there was a force in his hand.

"Sir, what happened? Why are you so anxious to hire my troops?" Schwab asked curiously.

"Well, if I hadn't needed your service, I wouldn't have told you about the things between such great nobles. I don't mean to offend you, but your status is indeed not worth knowing such things." Remond said with the arrogance of the great nobles. Schwab was helpless with the natural superiority of these great nobles. Their slogan was, "We were born the best, so we were the best."

"Okay, I have to admit it." Schwab, who had experienced many things, had already had a certain degree of scheming. He would not be as reckless as some young nobles, but just scoffed at Remond's arrogance in his heart.

"My brother is very unfortunate, and he did not leave his heir. Although I am his immediate relative, I have not been recognized by the Duke. Without recognition, my brother's territory is likely to be taken back by the Duke." Remond said with a frown, and he subconsciously twisted the pearls on his neck.

"So how can we gain the recognition of the duke?" Schwab asked curiously. This was actually Schwab's concern, how to gain the favor of the great nobles and gain land and glory.

"Now is a chance, my friend." Remond said with some excitement.

"You are talking about the war with the OVID people?"

"Yes, just bring a team to the Duke, then it will prove that I have the ability to serve a force, so that the Duke will recognize my service."

"Do you have no army yourself?" Schwab asked. How could you not be able to gather an army when you see such a large territory? It is incredible.

"How do you say this?" Remond said a little embarrassedly. "I have not officially obtained a fiefdom, so I have no right to recruit soldiers here, and my financial situation does not allow me to gather a team, but this is really thankful to God for sending you to me."

"But at what price do you use to hire me and my team?" Schwab frowned. He wanted to find the Duke and show Princess Mary's letter, but this would be underestimated by other nobles and dukes. If Remond could hire him at this time, it would be the best for him, but Schwab was still embarrassed.

"My friend, you must know that if I can gain the recognition of the Duke, I am the lord of Sayvo and an earl, and you will get endless benefits." Remond said hurriedly in a hurry, but Schwab shook his head and comfortably found a wooden chair to make it.

"My friend, this is wine from the monastery. Try it a little, it tastes very good." Remund quickly closed the wooden door in the room, then took out an expensive glass bottle from the cabinet, with red wine inside, and brought a one-legged silver cup to pour wine for Schwab. His attitude was not at all arrogant at this time.

"What price can you pay?" Schwab picked up the cup without hesitation and took a sip of the wine. It tasted really good.

"This, I finally borrowed a thousand silver offices from the dean of the monastery. How about paying you ten silver offices every week?" Remond said flatteringly.

"How can this be enough for ten silver offices?" Schwab thought to himself that this guy was too stingy and wanted to hire such a two hundred troops, but only gave him ten silver offices. Of course, he shook his head and refused. It was one thing to pay by himself, and it was another thing to be hired. "At least one hundred silver offices a week, otherwise there would be no talks."

"What, then I can't hold on for even three months, no, no." Remond shook his head and disagreed, "At most fifty."

"No, ninety."

"sixty."

"Eighty-five, forget it if you don't."

"Okay, eighty deal." In order to get Sayfu, Remond gritted his teeth and agreed to Schwab's conditions. He was afraid that Schwab would regret it and immediately found a piece of parchment and signed an agreement on the wooden table. Schwab used the ring seal made by the blacksmith in Mark to cover his own seal with a large drop of red wax oil and an eagle. Remond also covered his own seal pattern on the other side.

"Okay, my troops will serve you for three months." Schwab settled the employment contract with satisfaction and prepaid eighty silver offices from Remund.

"You are simply a Sathers, not a noble nobleman." Remond muttered with pain, and took out the silver narcotics from the silver bag and handed them to Schwab, "So, Lord Schwab, how many knights do you have?"

"Knight? Oh, I have three in total." Schwab pulled the wrench and calculated, and then replied.

"What three knights?" Remond widened his eyes and screamed in the castle lord's mansion. The knights outside thought that something had happened to the great nobleman, so they rushed in. Fortunately, they saw Remond in intact after going in, but the adult seemed to be very sad and rolled on the ground.

"What happened?" asked a knight wearing chain armor, swords and spears.

"It's nothing, Lord Remond suddenly remembered his brother. Don't disturb the adult's longing for his loved ones." Schwab shrugged and patted the Knight on the shoulder, then strode out.

"My flesh, my heart, my baby is gone, a damn liar." Remond muttered while rolling on the ground. The Knight frowned, and could not hear any condolences for Earl Medol.

The Duke's army was advancing along the coastline toward Marenke. The army along the way was very slow, but there was nothing we could do about it. After a rain, the road was very muddy. The carriages often fell into the soil and needed many soldiers to push it out. It was all. What made the Duke's most headache was the arrogant knights. They were armed with heavy armor and often got off the horse and camped for rest without authorization, which seriously slowed down the speed of the march.

"It's too slow, too slow." Duke Han Ruowei was extremely anxious. He was worried about his sister and son-in-law, but the knights complained about the fatigue of the march, and the duke could not be too strict with these noble knights.

"Don't worry, the Marenko Castle is very strong, your sister will be fine." Gong Xiangyas wore a green tights on the outside of the chain armor, and a snake was printed on it, which was his family's seal.

"I hope." The duke looked at the slow army uneasyly. After walking for only thirty miles, the army was about to camp. It was simply a snail's speed.

"How about it, how are the knights feeling?" After camping, Yas walked into his steep tent, then took a hand towel from a servant and wiped his hand, and said to a huge figure in the tent.

"The hard march makes the knights complain." It was the voice of the Demon Mountain, and the brutal knight was with Yas.

"Ha, it's great. It seems that the marching equipment of the knights is right. So what happened to those vassals? I didn't expect that the duke's reputation was still so great that almost all the vassals sent troops."

"Yes, only Sayfu did not send troops."

"Saifu, Count Medol is dead, and there are no heirs in his family. The family, which is already a small number of people, is destined to perish. It is estimated that the territory will be taken back."

"I heard that Earl Medol's younger brother took over the territory."

"What?" Yas was stunned, and then laughed. "The pretentious fool who was dragging his nose and chasing women everywhere in the banquet was not worth worrying. Earl Medol himself owed a lot of debts. The pauper who had no power of domination and money should not be able to bring the army."

"Yes, sir, all plans are underway."
