Chapter 19 Karen Knight
Without Demi around, he had to go to eat by himself. When Rock stepped into the cafeteria, he had dark circles on his face. He had insomnia last night.
The smell of many deworming powder was intertwined, and the smell was really strange. He floated in his breath all the time and tasted the insomnia again. The last time he had insomnia was just the night when he entered the castle.
Many people noticed him and looked at him with a smile, with a strange smile.
Rock looked up and down at himself, but found nothing wrong, and he secretly raised his vigilance.
Breakfast is simpler than in the castle, with large bread, large pieces of meat, a large bowl of soup, and a small bowl of vegetables.
“Rice porridge?”
He looked at the soup in a little surprised. The soup was filled with white grains similar to rice, which made him feel very friendly. Unexpectedly, there was rice in this world, not just wheat.
All of a sudden, his appetite increased a lot.
He didn't notice the eyes of others, staring at him secretly, and he was serving soup into his mouth with a spoon.
The mouth is soft and doesn't seem to taste very good. It doesn't taste like rice. It tastes good and can just relieve the greasiness.
Rand sat over with the same food and glanced at him.
"You are drinking moth egg soup, I hope you like it!" he said casually.
"What soup did you say?" Rock froze and asked staring at his face.
"You don't know about the egg soup of a non-toxic giant moth insect, a nutritious and specialty of the colorful poison town?" he said in surprise.
Rock glared at him fiercely, lowered his head like rusty, stared blankly at the 'rice soup' in the bowl, rolling in his mouth, and returning what he had just eaten.
"vomit---"
Seeing his appearance, the people in the cafeteria burst into laughter.
After a different welcome ceremony for the newcomer, Rock became the guard of the Bambora family in Caipo Town.
Rock only realized how much power the Bambora family had gathered in Caidu Town, invested almost half of the family's troops, and stationed in a large valley in Caidu Mountains, which was called the "Caidu Secret Land".
The town happened to be on the side of the Color Poison Secret Land, and it was a place where several nobles stationed troops.
"Let me see Knight Karen?" Rock came to the captain's room with an empty stomach.
The teacher entrusted Lawrence to deliver the letter, and Rock simply asked him to help deliver the red horse. Unexpectedly, Knight Karen wanted to see him.
Knight Karen is the father of Alex and Ellie, and the third son of Viscount.
"I know your concerns, don't worry, Knight Karen is the Viscount's son. He is tolerant and will not make things difficult for you!" Lawrence patted his shoulder.
"All right!"
Rock nodded, but he didn't believe it very much, but he couldn't refuse, so he could only take one step at a time.
When he entered a room, he found Luke was there too, and the atmosphere inside was a bit solemn. Seeing him appear, Karen waved his hand displeasedly, and Luke left like a runaway, which made him feel a bad premonition.
Karen is wearing golden leather armor, her face looks a little pale, her long hair is wrapped in a single ponytail, and she wears a pair of golden glasses. You can tell from her appearance that this guy is a romantic gangster.
"Rock, is that?"
"Say to you, Knight Karen!"
Rock secretly despised this guy in his heart, and he was not slow to move and asked him for a greeting.
"I heard Alex say to you. He has always been dissatisfied with his defeat at your last time. You are the young heroes of the Banbora family. You should look at the outside world instead of being entangled in the small disputes in the castle. Do you understand?"
Without waiting for his answer, Karen continued: "Last time, Alex was impulsive and did something very rude. I have punished him. I hope you don't care about him---"
“You are so great!”
"I really hope to be like you."
As Lawrence said, Karen did not make things difficult for him, but kept telling him the truth about his past travels, how to help civilians solve problems, and how to hunt down the beasts that cause trouble---
If Rock was really a fifteen-year-old boy, he might have believed it, and believed that Alex did not mean it.
Rock knew how to be a good listener, and he would support him from time to time against his conscience, and suddenly scratched his itch. He was so excited that he talked about his romantic history and even taught a few secret tricks of flirting with girls in a low voice.
The whole process made Rock laugh and cry. He knew why Viscount liked this guy the most. This guy was indeed a bit funny.
It took about an hour before he could leave.
When outside, I happened to meet Alex with a stinky face.
"What did you say to my father? It's been so long?"
"Why don't you ask your father, my horse? Knight Karen said, in order to apologize to me, you went to choose the horse for me."
He has no good feelings for this brother and sister.
"Outside, I chose it specially, just right for you!"
The two of them came outside the yard, and there was a very short horse on one side of the gate, looking like a donkey.
"Your eyes are so bad, it's the same as if it didn't look like it."
I knew that this guy would not apologize. I guess he was in front of his father and in front of outsiders. Rock did not give him any hope and could not say disappointment. He led the donkey away without saying a word.
"Wait for me, I will return the humiliation you gave me!"
Alex shouted behind his back, and Rock ignored him without looking back.
"The lowly genius is matched with a bastard, very well!" Alex cursed and returned to the hall with anger.
Karen was admiring an ancient painting, rubbing his fingers with his face full of intoxication.
"Ales, pay attention to your noble manners." Karen looked at him and reminded him.
"Father, Rock has brought me such a great shame, why do you have to ask me to apologize to him? And that Luke, he is no different from a mercenary, there is nothing worthy of winning over, you make me embarrassed." Alex complained to his father.
"Why?" Karen put down the painting in his hand and stared at him, "It's not for you, don't be ungrateful."
Alex was dissatisfied and sat on the chair and sulked.
"Why did your grandfather call them?"
"Let them become wizards, this is what I am most puzzled about. What qualifications do those low-ranking species have--"
Karen raised his hand and slapped him, interrupting him.
"Shut up, don't you want to hear these two words, do you understand?"
"clear!"
Alex seemed to be frightened and became honest all of a sudden.
"Do you know that there are two types of wizards, white wizards and black wizards?
Although the wizard is powerful and weird, and its ability is far superior to our knights, the wizard's journey is extremely dangerous, with a survival rate of less than one percent---"
When Alex heard this, he quickly spoke out: "Then I'd better not be a wizard, it's good to be a knight."
Karen glared at him and signaled him to listen to his words: "That's a black wizard. White wizards are far less dangerous than black wizards. Only when they successfully become black wizards can you have the chance to become white wizards, do you understand?"
Alex shook his head truthfully.
"You don't need to understand. I will ask your father for a quota of white wizard. Don't worry!" Karen waved his hand and signaled him to go out, then ignored him and hugged the ancient painting and began to appreciate it.
Arles walked to the door and heard his father's voice again, which came from behind.
"According to my observation, Rock and Luke have the potential to become wizards. Handling their relationship with them will have many benefits for you in the future. If they become black wizards, you can do it yourself with the cruelty and bloodiness of the black wizard."
Listening to his father's words, Alex's back chills and his face turned pale.
