Chapter 56 The Pig and the Scarecrow

"You shouldn't have come to this muddy pond. The water here is very dirty and deep. If you are not careful, you will be drowned."

On the top of the Empire State Building, bustling tourists gathered into several parallel streams of people. The tall man in a white coat passed by a thin figure, and said in a husky and soft voice.

The surrounding environment was extremely noisy, but this sentence was like a bolt from the blue, slashing clearly into the thin figure's mind, causing a wave of waves.

The thin figure's pupils shook violently. He suddenly turned around and stared at the wide back of the man in his white coat. The latter quickly disappeared deep into the crowd with his pocket.

In the employee passage on the top floor of the Empire State Building, tourists are generally prohibited from entering here, only open to relevant staff. The passage is surrounded by red fences and the gate is covered with falsehood. In the dim passage, the figure in a white coat leans against the wall, as if waiting for someone's way to come.

Squeak.

The thick metal door panel was pushed, and the thin blonde man entered the passage. He slowly closed the door, looking directly at the familiar figure in white with his blue eyes.

"Fat pig, don't be fine." The man in white coat spoke first, showing a stiff smile.

"You have changed a lot." The thin man said expressionlessly, although the title of fat pig has nothing to do with him, who is thin.

"Yes, I don't need the face I used to be. I asked the top plastic surgery expert in the United States and my good friend to help me change my current face, but I changed it too frequently. The nerves on my face were already a little numb." The man in the white coat stood in the dark and touched his face.

"So you killed your good friend Randall Howworth, a plastic surgeon, afterwards. This incident also made headlines in newspapers and news, causing a sensation across the United States?" said the thin man coldly.

"There is no way, I have to kill him. He has seen me and knows my origin. People who know too much truth always find it difficult to live long." The man in a white coat sighed softly.

"Now I know, then do you want to kill me later?" asked the thin man contemptuously.

In the darkness, the wet air seemed to condense, the atmosphere was quiet and weird. The hand of the man in white was trembling slightly, and his body was stiff and tense; the thin man just looked at him quietly, but the thumb and index finger that were constantly rubbing on his hand beside him also symbolized his inner world that was not in line with the calm surface.

After several seconds of confrontation and silence, the man in white slowly spoke: "Kill you here? I'm not that stupid yet. Besides, you are not on my list of sure kills."

"So those innocent people are on the list you should kill? Then tell me what reason they have to die?" The thin man suddenly growled in a low voice, and his voice was as if he was thunderous.

"To lead a big snake and achieve great things, there must always be some people who act as victims. This is understandable." The man in a white coat said lightly.

"You used to be at least like a human being, but now you are no different from scum." The thin man spitted.

"It doesn't matter what you say about me, it's just a scum. No matter what, I don't want to be a chess piece at the mercy of others. If I leave you and leave the gravekeeper, I will definitely become a chess player. New York City is my chessboard!" The man in white coat said in a crazy tone.

"Who is inside?"

The door of the employee passage was pushed open, and a bright beam of light shot into the dark passage. The dark-skinned woman in a security uniform heard someone talking inside and looked into question.

The white coat came into view. The woman was about to warn the burly man wearing a doctor's coat in violation of regulations when she entered the employee passage, but she was stunned when she raised her head and met the golden eyes.

A man with a straw hood appeared in front of her.

The scarecrow told the woman about the sins she committed in her life, from the smallest to the garbage not thrown into the basket; from the largeest to the betrayal of her husband and committing adultery with her neighbor, the woman's pupils left tears of repentance, and then her consciousness gradually became blurred and her eyes became more and more unconscious.

"Go to die, the scarecrow will forgive you."

The man in a white coat had a low and hoarse voice, but to a woman it sounded like a gospel from heaven.

The woman stretched out her hand, and she pressed her sharp nails against her forehead, trying to hang a blood mark from top to bottom, but before she could move, she was caught by a sudden hand.

"Is the scarecrow the role of forgiveness? I think forgiveness is God's duty, not to mention that your behavior cannot be forgiven. You are just a cruel executioner." The thin man grabbed the black woman's hand and said to the man in a white coat.

"Tsk tsk tsk, a real executioner will one day give others a stigma of executioner, fat pig, you have also changed." The man in the white coat was amazed.

"Relieve her mental confinement, don't kill anyone!" said the thin man sternly.

"The one in front is OK," said the man in white coat, "but I can't do this without killing people."

"Goodbye, my former comrade, I hope you won't die under my scalpel."

He stretched out his hand hidden in his pocket and snapped his fingers. The woman instantly lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground. The man in the white coat stepped over the woman's body and pushed the door open and disappeared into the crowd in the light.

"Scarecrow, you will die at my hands."

"You think you can play the chess game with New York City, but the chess game of the tomb guardian is a world of mixed races and dragon races. Who can not become one of the chess pieces?"

The thin man murmured to himself in the grand light that poured into the dark passage.

"No, maybe someone..."

He thought of several remnants of the old era who were able to compete with the gravekeepers, Odin, the King of White, and the Zero...

...

"All the clues have been found, and as the captain, Wright is gone again! This bad start may give me a bad premonition about the next task." Shen Zifan sighed. He and Chu Zihang searched all over the floor but did not see the shadow of Wright.

"You guys are here!"

A slightly surprised voice came from not far away, and Wright, who was surrounded by the crowd, jumped and waved at Shen Zifan and the others.

"Where did you two go? I've been looking for you for a long time!" Wright pushed the crowd away and came to Shen Zifan and Chu Zihang, muttering and complaining.

"You really know how to turn the tables. We can't find you at all. Please give me some responsibility as the captain!" Shen Zifan slapped Wright on the back of the head.

The three of them found a corner. After Shen Zifan and Chu Zihang told Wright about the speculation about the little boy Anthony, the latter was so angry that they jumped.

"It's too much to use a child. I must peel it off when I catch this guy called Scarecrow!" Wright said with a frown.

"Okay, don't talk here. Chu Zihang and I also found the clues that the executive department wanted to explain to us, but it was not......"
