Chapter 37 Qimen Dunjia

While talking, Xiaogui and Shishi had already come, brought the brewed tea and fruits, and set them on the table between the Taolu Lai and Maitreya, and then asked in the words he had just heard:

"Master, what are you talking about just now? "

"Sir, don't interrupt me in a random way." Seeing that Maitreya was extremely free and easy, he had no intention of complaining, he couldn't help but admire him. He was about to say something and wanted to help him, but listening to Xiaogui's random words, he couldn't help but look at him, making the Taoist boy with his lips and retreat aside, and stand with the silent Shishi.

"Lao Lin, I don't know when you will start a formation to refine ghosts? I can't be anxious about this matter. Don't worry. If you have free time, it's just right. I have some tips on Qimen Dunjia. I want to ask you for advice." Maitreya saw that the lay Buddhist Caolu wanted to reach out for help, so he took the initiative to ask for advice. He solved his own grudges by himself to avoid irrelevant people into this vortex.

Although the plot has not yet begun and Maitreya can't remember it clearly, he remembers that everyone who was involved in the vortex of the Four Souls Jade was extremely miserable. This is also the reason why he and Yan Chixia and Zhiqiu Yiye had a good relationship, but never asked the two of them to come back to Fusang for help with him.

"The fifteenth thing about refining ghosts has passed today. I will set up a formation to refine ghosts in the middle of next month while the sun and the moon are raised. As for this Qimen Dunjia, the lay Buddhist at Caolu saw that Maitreya was unwilling to ask for his help, and did not force him. He paused for a moment and said:

"If Zimi says something else, I may be powerless, but if you talk about this Qimen Dunjia technique, just ask."

"Then I'll thank Lao Lin." Seeing that Lao Lin, a lay Buddhist, agreed, Maitreya couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. One month should be enough to learn something.

Everything was agreed, so there was nothing else to do next. Taking advantage of the quiet environment of the souvenir cave heaven, Maitreya began to concentrate on sorting out what he had learned.

Apart from what he learned in the Faxing Academy and the Zhaitian Temple, Maitreya sorted out what he learned in China. Not to mention the swordsmanship he learned from Yan Chixia and the Diamond Sutra he obtained, he also learned a lot of Kunlun School magic talismans from Zhiqiu Yiye.

The Kunlun School, also known as the Hunyuan School, is a branch of the Taoist Zhengyi School in Hubei. It mainly practices talismans and Qimen Dunjia. When it was passed down to Zhiqiu Yiye, he was the only one. His skills were all gone. His knowledge was not high. He was a rookie in the martial arts world and only learned to apply.

Although Zhiqiu Yiye lost a lot of martial arts and had not received much teaching, Maitreya still asked him for advice and learned from him with great care.

The profound order of exorcism and demons in Kunlun Sect, the order of exorcism of ghosts and thunder and earth movements, must open an altar to become a master and enter the Taoist talisman to obtain magic power. Maitreya is a monk and his skills are also Buddhist. Therefore, he cannot practice such advanced talismans. He can only learn some small methods of hiding the ground. He also has to practice Vajra Mantras by himself and comprehend the Qimen Dunjia in parallel.

This Qimen Dunjia called "the study of emperors", which is the first extraordinary technique in China since ancient times. It is said to be all-encompassing and omnipresent. This time, when I met a lay Buddhist who was good at this, Maitreya naturally did not dare to neglect it and asked him carefully for advice.

I felt that Maitreya was a rookie, and the lay Buddhists of Caolu were very careful. Starting from the basics, I taught him first to know the Tai Chi two qualities, the three talents and four phases, the five elements and eight trigrams, the nine palaces and the Yuanchen, and the corresponding connections, and then I talked about some basic principles:

"In fact, this Qimen Dunjia, to put it bluntly, is to look for the laws of heaven and earth. All things in the world and the astrological signs in the sky are like the impermanent actions in the three Dharma seals of your monk. Everything in the world is possible, and nothing happens is impossible to deal with the above variables."

"You Buddhism believe that the three thousand worlds are like mirrors, flowers, water and moons, but in my Taoist view, the universe is like a game of chess. Although the chess pieces are crisscrossed, they are essentially just black and white."

"The so-called four seasons of the year, twelve hours a day, are all illusions. If we want to cultivate truth, what is truth? The so-called time flows, but the alternation of the sun and the moon, the flow of the universe and the stars. Everything in the world is like this. Just grasp the variables in the meridians and the changes in the world, and you will be able to go all the better."

After explaining the basic knowledge in detail and explaining the principles, Caolu lay Buddhists also taught some applications, such as refining qi in the human body, moving the sixty-four hexagrams of Zhoutian, and talking about how to recognize wind and sever qi, observing stars and measuring words.

Although the lay Buddhists of Caolu spoke from shallow to deep, Maitreya was not the material for this after all. He was dizzy and had to directly raise his own practice and ask him to give him guidance.

"You are practicing Buddhism and speaking in emptiness. You must see through and let go. Judging from my Taoist argument, you only cultivate nature and not life. This is the first disease of practice. However, there are other wonderful methods in Buddhism. It emphasizes silence and Nirvana, but it is not as good as my Taoist practice of both nature and life, and it is full of energy and spirit." The lay Buddhist at Caolu shook his head when he saw that Maitreya could not understand the universe.

"Then I'm missing the art of life cultivation!" Maitreya couldn't help asking when he heard the words of the lay Buddhist, who was so sad.

"Yes, no, life is one. If the state of mind reaches the point of seeing through and letting go, and there will be no distractions in the heart, the body will be able to achieve its own life. However, I have never seen this state of mind except for the legendary Buddhas and Bodhisattvas." The lay Buddhist at Caolu pondered on his face and shook his head to express his inability to believe it.

"What should I do?" Maitreya saw that the layman in the canopy looked like an expert, but he didn't care about the distinction between Buddhism and Taoism in his words. He couldn't care about any Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in his heart, so he could only care about himself.

"I think you might as well try to do this. After calming your mind, try to concentrate your energy, disperse your limbs and bones, and then transport them back into your body, and use the Vajra Mantra you have practiced." The lay Buddhist Caolu let go of his doubts and tried to find a way for Maitreya.

"I have practiced these!" Maitreya shook his head slightly. The basics of the qi refining that the lay Buddhist Caolu said were basically carried and other qi refining. How could he have not practiced with Yan Chixia?

"It's different. I want you to be lucky with your spirit, not by knowing your luck." The lay Buddhist at Caolu shook his head and repeated it.

"What's the difference?" Maitreya scratched the back of his head. In terms of refining Qi, not only he was a newbie, but Yan Chixia and Zhiqiu Yiye also had a slight understanding. One of them was majoring in swordsmanship and the other majoring in talismans.

"Knowledge is acquired, and God is innate, and it moves by itself." The lay Buddhist Caolu tried hard to explain to Maitreya, but suddenly remembered something.

"You can meditate! Will you be able to move through meditation?"

"No." Maitreya shook his head. He held the Vajra Mantra and was in a quiet and constant world. He didn't want to do anything. He had never tried this luck.

"Then try to look at the qi in meditation, but remember that you can only operate according to the qi method you know, and do not be lucky at will." The lay Buddhist at Caolu received a careful advice.
