Chapter 10 The Bronze Key

After being scolded, Victor quickly retorted: "Sorry, although I am not sure or remember, I did not kill this person. A guy appeared outside the door before and he shot us. That guy was the murderer, and there was also! A monster jumped out of the window just now. Haven't you..."

Victor's explanation was suddenly interrupted by the other party rudely: "Shut up your stinky mouth! Pervert, when you arrive in the cell, I will listen to you slowly defend..."

Regardless of Victor's defense, the two sheriffs forcibly handcuffed his hands, mocked him while pulling him out of the male prostitute's small house, then locked him in a cage pulled by a horse and left here.

Victor felt a strong sense of inconvenience. He leaned on the iron fence and kept glanced at the direction of the tavern. Now, Henry and the others could save him.

But unfortunately, the three people from the Anti-Archive Bureau were no longer visible in the tavern.

In less than ten minutes, Victor was taken directly to the security office in Valding Town.

The thin door of the police station was pushed open, the oil lamp was lit, and Victor saw the country and state map hanging on the wall to the right.

But before he could see more, he was immediately pulled into the room by a small policeman with a beard and was questioned by the sheriff.

The sheriff (also called a policeman) sitting directly opposite Victor, looked fierce and vicious: "Tell me! Tell me your motive for murder... I have explained everything I should say."

"What else can I explain without killing someone? Someone outside the door shot us."

"Is that true? What does that murderer look like?"

Speaking of the murderer's appearance, Victor didn't see clearly at all. He only vaguely remembered that there was a red thing that shook in front of him the moment the door was kicked open.

"I didn't see clearly..."

These words made the policeman in front of him angry. The other party stood up and slapped the table hard: "Boy Victor! My endurance is limited."

Judging from the past ten years, I don’t know whether it was a dream or a real memory.

Before the accident occurred in the Damon family, the town's sheriff swallowed his anger due to the thugs they hired.

Now it is equivalent to finding an opportunity to avenge Victor, so the guy in front of him has no good expression when interrogating him.

Another policeman next to him had a slightly better attitude. He comforted his colleague and asked Victor in a calm voice: "Do you know the deceased?"

Victor shook his head, he didn't care about the man's name.

The policeman next to him continued, "He is called Little Cat, don't look at me like that. I only know his name. There is only one man in the town who is doing that kind of job. This guy receives special guests, just like you."

His cheeks twitched, and Victor strongly denied: "Wait a minute, I just happened to be in the same room as him, I have done nothing, okay?"

The police didn't care what Victor said at all and then asked: "So, why do you still kill someone after you're happy?"

Victor raised his head and looked at the two of them speechlessly. He was suspicious of the police's ability to judge the case in this small town.

"I said, are you deaf? I didn't kill him at all! And I was hit by a bullet... Or are you blind? There was obviously a monster jumping out of the window and running away, and the dead were full of biting marks. You turned a blind eye to that thing?"

The policeman next to him blinked slowly and said a conclusion that surprised Victor.

"Wolves will come in from time to time in this town. We have examined the body. The fatal injury on the deceased was a gunshot. He was shot in the chest and a neck, and you were just holding the gun in your hand at that time."

Judging from the other party's meaning, they think that monster is a Pigwolf?

Victor was very close to the creature at that time, and it was obvious that it looked more like a human-shaped hyena, and the appearance was very different from that of a wolf.

First, someone shot and killed him and the male prostitute, and then a monster sneaked in and chewed the corpse. Is there any causal relationship here?

What about the incident of the family being destroyed? Is it also related?

Victor believed that he had not grasped any important information that would be silenced by others. Who was chasing him relentlessly?

There were too many mysteries, and Victor couldn't help but be silent.

"Huh~!"

Half a minute later, he took a deep breath, stood up and said to the two policemen, "Look, there are bullet holes in my clothes. Can't this prove that I am also a victim?"

Hearing this argument, the two policemen looked at Victor like they were psychopaths.

"So you were shot? Where is the wound?"

"His bullet hit the jewelry in my pocket...and that revolver! It doesn't belong to me, but the male prostitute named Little Cat hides under the bed for self-defense. You can check the bullets inside, it shouldn't have been fired, it can completely prove my innocence!"

The two policemen looked at each other again, and the guy opposite burst into laughter.

"Okay, but you'll still be hanged."

Victor, who originally thought he had sufficient evidence, was stunned when he heard this: "Ha?"

The policeman opposite smiled sly: "The people in the town only need one prisoner to bear the consequences, and everyone does not need the truth... Besides, if it were you, I believe many people would be happy to see you hanging on the gallows..."

#¥#…&Day!

Victor wanted to pick up the stool and smash it at the other party's dog's head, but his hands were tied up and could not do anything.

The two policemen smiled and called the short policeman outside to come in and pull people, and directly sent Victor into one of the three iron cages in the room behind.

"If you are hungry, catch a mouse to eat, because from now until the execution will be performed at noon tomorrow, you will have to be hungry."

The small policeman stared at his small eyes and turned off the oil lamp and walked out of the cell.

Victor stared at the other party's back and greeted the eighteen generations of their ancestors.

That's it? It's just a matter of interrogation! It's all dead anyway.

Lying on the simple and hard bed, the feeling of affliction is indescribable.

"What's the bad luck in me? Why did I wake up from a dream and become like this! Grass! The shit fairy guides the way!"

Victor's hand was still being coerced, and he struggled to pinch the broken gold fingers in his chest pocket. This thing was not searched by the police outside.

The sheriff in the town did not know what professionalism was. He caught Victor back and did not search him except to remove his pistol.

Before, Victor saw something hidden in his golden fingers, and now he just took it out to take a look.

The bullet smashed the small fist to pieces. Victor easily peeled off the golden clinker skin and picked out the things inside. It turned out to be an extremely simple "bronze key"!
