Dragon and the Goblet of Fire Chapter 19

Section 1

The next morning, the storm stopped, but there was still a miserable cloud on the ceiling of the auditorium, with large blue-gray clouds rolling above Harry's head, as gloomy as he was at this moment.

Last night he dreamed of the disaster of the World Cup night. In his dream, he once again faced the crazy crowd, the camp administrator's family burned to the point of being left with dead bones, and the powerful and mysterious Lilith. Harry felt that his heart was filled with an indescribable boredom and anxiety - first he conspired to kill his Voldemort, then a crazy and powerful black dragon, and now there was a strange and mysterious Lilith. It seemed that fate played a malicious joke with him, making his already troubled life even more dangerous, but he had no idea how to deal with these things.

So far, Harry has not shared these unpleasant secret ideas with others. Neither Ron and Hermione, nor Dumbledore or the godfather Sirius, Harry has let them know. As for why he insists on taking on it alone, Harry himself can't explain the reason.

But there is at least one advantage, that is, the others around him retained the good mood at the beginning of the semester, sitting at the same table, Ron and Hermione were studying the course selection, while Fred, George and Lee Jordan were separated by several seats, discussing what magical magic to age themselves, and then get away with it and participate in the Triple Championship.

"It's nice today... I've been outdoors all morning," Ron said, sliding his fingers through the column of the course schedule last Monday, "herbal class, with Hufflepuff students, protecting magic biology class...unlucky, with Slytherin..."

Harry was stunned, and he turned around and looked at the dining table of Slytherin on the other side of the hall. Soren was sitting at the table and talking about something with the Slytherinmen beside him.

Harry turned around and sighed softly - to be fair, he didn't know what attitude to face his twin brother. Not long ago, they had just been in a deep forest without a man, but Harry had mastered the power he had never dared to think about before. After that, Sauron had no news; the meeting again was already at the World Cup, and then a terrible disaster came without warning, and Harry was surprised to find that he could fight a terrible enemy like Lilith.

Now, he and Sauron met again, sitting in the same hall at this moment, about to spend the new school year together like the past few years - but perhaps nothing will be the same as in the past.

During this period, Harry felt that his magical power was growing, and this change was so obvious and rapid that even he was surprised. At the same time, with his own transformation, Harry also became more and more deeply aware of Sauron's terror - his power was powerful and dark, revealing unconcealed evil.

In this way, Harry finished his breakfast and walked out of the auditorium with the other Gryffindors in a frown, heading to Greenhouse No. 3 for herbal lessons.

However, at the same moment, Sauron, who was sitting at the Slytherin's table, seemed to be in a good mood. At least he listened to the Slytherin sitting by the side talking about the Final Three. Like other students, most of the Slytherin were also quite dissatisfied with the 17-year-old age limit of the participant, and privately discussed how to bypass the inspection.

"Oh, don't be stupid, Alvin." He looked at the female chief sitting next to Isabella and said, "The age-enhancing spell is the age-enhancing spell. There will be no essential difference if it is cast by me or by you."

The girl named Alvin looked disappointed, but soon turned to discuss the age-enhancing potion with Isabella and others.

Sauron shook his head with a smile. He put down his coffee cup and told Isabella not to forget to attend class. He walked with Draco and others towards the magic history classroom. When passing by the classroom of the black magic defense, Sauron turned his head and glanced, but did not see the crazy eyes. At this time, Draco came over and said in a gloating tone:

"Have you heard that the crazy-eyed man is causing trouble again," Draco lowered his voice, "The Prophet Daily said that just yesterday morning, he blew up the trash can in the yard and alarmed the Muggles in at least one block nearby."

"Oh, for what?" Sauron asked.

"I don't know." Draco shrugged, "You know, that old guy is nervous. If it weren't for Arthur Weasley's help, I guess that old guy wouldn't have been able to catch up with the school dinner."

Sauron smacked his lips, shook his head gently and said, "No matter what, remember what I said yesterday, don't mess with him, that's not worth the loss."

The fourth-grade magic history class is still in charge of Professor Binnes. The students of Ravenclaw were sitting in the same classroom with the Slytherins. Soren sat in the back of the classroom, and turned out the textbook out of thin air and started to read it. There was still some time before class, and the students walked into the classroom one after another, but except for Draco and others sitting next to Soren, everyone was hiding from Soren's position far away - especially after someone saw Soren's strange eyes without any concealment. Soren was not in full swing until before class, and they were all unlucky guys who came late and had no other seats to choose from.

Professor Bins's class was as boring and boring as ever, and the students were all drowsy, but the ghost professor didn't care about it and was still talking on his own. Sauron glanced at Draco, who was sitting beside him, and was now using the textbooks of magic history as a cover, looking at a journal of potions under the table. As for his two followers, they were already asleep on the table, and they were almost draining out of water.

Sauron shook his head and continued to look through the books in his hand. Unlike most other disciplines, the books for magic history courses are not special textbooks, but real history books. Perhaps due to the particularity of the wizard society, the contents in the books are mostly objective, fair and profound. However, it is precisely because of the professionalism of these books that they seem too obscure for most students.

However, this happened to be very much for Sauron's appetite. Putting aside some ancient secrets that only demigods can know, Sauron's understanding of the history of the wizard world is not deeper than that of an ordinary wizard. Although Sauron can feel some information from the long river of time with the help of the original fire from time to time, it is mostly broken and worthless fragments. Unless those prophets with special talents, they cannot use these messy information to interpret the past or the future. Sauron remembers a saying in his previous life that "knowledge is power", which is particularly appropriate for a demigod like him - every new piece of knowledge will more or less promote their understanding of the world, and this also means that they can exert more powerful or exquisite power.

Time passed by minute by minute, and the whole class ended in Professor Binnes' monotonous narrative and Sauron's self-study. When the low and thick bells rang through the castle, the students woke up from their sleepiness and packed up their things and left the classroom. The Lavenclaws walked up the stairs to the transformation class, while the Slytherins walked out of the castle, crossed the wet grass, and walked along the gentle hillside to the small cabin of Hagrid on the edge of the forbidden forest...

Section 2

Hagrid stood outside the door of the cabin, holding his huge hunting dog's neck with one hand. The Gryffindors had arrived, but most of them stood far away from Hagrid, with a watchful face showing. On the ground at Hagrid's feet, there were a few open wooden boxes, and a strange sound of jamming came from it, and there were faint explosions. Considering Hagrid's usual style, Sauron guessed that there would be no favorable things.

When Soren came to the box and saw what was inside, his guess was confirmed - these were probably juveniles of some kind of arthropod, with mature exoskeletons not growing on the grayish white surface, replaced by a tough soft outer skin and a rotten mucus scent. These things did not show obvious head structure. More than ten pairs of joint feet were distributed on both sides of the chest and abdomen, constantly hitting the bottom of the box, and what was even more disturbing was the tail of this thing - behind them, a tail between flesh and armor curled up like a worm, and sparks would spurt out from the tip of the tail from time to time, pushing these weird creatures to rush forward a few inches.

"What is this?" Sauron asked with a frown.

"Fried tail snails, just hatched," Hagrid said proudly, "we can raise them myself! We can do a big project!"

"Fry the tail snail?" Soren raised his eyebrows. The name was very appropriate. To be honest, even if they suddenly jumped up and pounced on the face of some unlucky guy, Soren would never be surprised.

"Why should we raise them?" Draco complained. These fried tail snails gave him goose bumps. He was unwilling to get close to these creatures unless necessary.

Hagrid seemed to be stumped by this problem.

"I mean, what can they do?" asked Malfoy. "What are their uses?"

Hagrid opened his mouth, as if he was thinking desperately. After a few seconds, he said in a rough voice: "That's the content of the next class, Malfoy. Just feed them today. Okay, you have to try feeding them a few different things-I haven't raised them before, and I can't tell what they like to eat-I prepared ant egg, frog liver and green snake-try a little of each to see if they eat."

No one moved, which made the scene awkward for a while. After a while, Harry, Ron and Hero took the lead and grabbed a handful of the slippery frog liver and threw it into the box. It was considered to be a big deal. However, looking at the expressions on the faces of the three of them, it was obviously not fun.

As for Slytherin, the students looked at each other and finally looked at Soren. Soren shook his head, pulled out his wand, and caught a snail from the box in the air. Perhaps because his fragile abdomen was exposed to the air, the snail was uneasy and swung his feet and tail in the air, which made it look even more disgusting.

The abdomen of the snail is also grayish-white, looking like a piece of rotten meat with a structure like a suction cup. Soren swept through the body of this thing with his mind and found that the suction cups had tooths and tongues, which felt similar to the mouthpiece of a leech. But soon, Soren discovered that they had other eating organs - perhaps stimulated by Soren's mind, the front end of the fleshy ventricular face of the snail bulged, revealing a cavity full of barb-shaped fine teeth, which kept wriggling.

Sauron couldn't help but smack his lips. He looked at Hagrid, who was talking to Harry. He was really curious about how this big guy had cultivated something like a snail. Even he had only seen such a heavy taste in science fiction movies in his previous life.

"Ouch!" About ten minutes later, Dean Thomas screamed, "It hurts me!"

Hagrid quickly walked to him, looking a little panicked.

"Its tail exploded!" Dean said angrily, showing Hagrid a burned piece on his hand.

"Ah, yeah, this can happen when they explode." Hager nodded.

"Disgusting!" Ravend Brown complained again, "It's so disgusting, Hagrid, what's the pointy thing on it?"

"Ah, some of them have thorns on their bodies," Hager said excitedly, "I guess those with thorns are males... there are suction cups on their stomachs... I think they probably suck blood."

"Oh, of course I understand why we have to find ways to keep them alive," Draco said sarcastically. "Who doesn't want such a pet?"

"Their appearance is not very mediocre, and it does not mean they are useless." Hermione retorted, "Dragon blood has magical effects, but are you willing to raise a dragon as a pet, ah?"

Draco was speechless. He looked at Hermione angrily, and seemed to want to say something ironic, but he was worried in public and did not speak. Soren didn't think there was anything. Hermione was a sharp-tongued little girl, and it was not surprising that Draco could be defeated. However, if Hegel cultivated the snails to benefit the society, Soren would rather swallow Fuzerthor than believe it.

Sauron waved his wand and threw the snail back into the box. For a moment, it seemed to be knocked out and lay motionless. However, he soon unfolded a pair of slender legs again and crawled around like other snails.

"Where did you get this thing? I don't think there is such a thing in the woods of Hogwarts."

Sauron approached Hager and asked, Harry and Ron stood aside, and looked at Hager with curiosity after hearing Sauron's question.

Hagrid was stunned for a moment, then hesitated and said, "Oh... Maybe, what I got from a friend, but it should be legal..."

Even without mind reading, Sauron could know that Hagrid was lying. He raised his eyebrows and looked at Hagrid until his face was slightly red from behind his fluffy beard.

"Well, you know, I have a few friends working in MBD," Hager said in a low voice. "At the end of last semester, Professor Dumbledore agreed that I would get something new to open my eyes to the students, so I asked for some samples from them."

"MBD? What is that?" Hermione asked in confusion

"Centre for Magical Biology," Sauron hissed like a toothache. "That is, Hagrid took undefined biological samples from the lab to Hogwarts to teach a group of fourth-grade hairy kids..."

Seeing Harry and the other two's surprised gaze, Hagrid smiled awkwardly, which was the default.

"Hagge, you'll probably cause trouble if you do this." Hermione said worriedly. Although she didn't know what the Center for Magic Biology Research does, she could also think that the tailblade shouldn't appear in Hogwarts. "I think you should tell President Dumbledore about this."

"Oh, the principal knows. Hogwarts and MBD have a long history of cooperation. After all, there are many people who graduated from Hogwarts, and many Hogwarts professors are also involved in the research project." Hagrid shrugged, as if he wanted to dispel Hermione's doubts and said in a relaxed tone: "Like Professor Sprout, she has several greenhouses with a lot of protective magic, which are specifically used for certain projects in MBD; and Professor Snape, who provides MBD with many very difficult preparation potions, and he often buys some difficult materials through acquaintances in the center. For example, he asked someone to buy an ounce of eight-eyed giant spider venom last week, which cost 400 Gallons, but he didn't know that the giant spider venom in the center has always been provided by me..."

Hagrid laughed happily, as if gloating about Snape's spending money. He rubbed his hands and continued: "I just provided a batch of fire crabs and human-faced sphinx to one of their projects, so after the principal agreed to me to get you some new things, I found my friends and convinced them to allow me to bring the first phase of the experiment results back to Hogwarts for cultivation in advance."

Hager's tone was very relaxed, and it seemed as if someone was fostering a Scottish beagle in him. But after hearing this, Sauron complained about Hager's boldness in his heart. Sauron's understanding of the MBD organization is much deeper than Harry and the others, because he also participated in research projects there, and of course he also knew how dangerous the various research conducted there was. Take the snails in front of him as an example. Perhaps they were just a disgusting creature for wizards, but once this thing spread to the world of Muggle, Sauron believed that the consequences would be more terrifying than the plot of science fiction movies. This kind of thing is not without precedent. Many things were originally just small tricks made by wizards, and caused a lot of trouble after they flowed into the world of Muggle. Because of this, the Magic Hazard Assessment Committee appeared, until it gradually evolved into the current prohibition of abuse of Muggle Supplies and other relevant regulatory departments.

However, Harry and the others seemed to believe Haeger's words. Sauron felt that they had probably forgotten the eagle-headed horse-body winged beast from last semester. Of course, Sauron didn't say anything else, turned around and walked towards Draco and the others. Harry seemed to want to say something to him, but Haeger seemed to be excited by what happened just now, and pulled the three of them to chat, so Harry could only watch Sauron leave.

However, Harry still found the opportunity to talk to Sauron. An hour later, when the bell rang again, the students returned to the castle to have lunch. Harry took a few steps to catch up with Sauron and pulled him aside.

"What's the matter?" Sauron looked at Harry and said slowly. "I think we can talk while walking, or we'll miss the butter pudding."

"Just a moment," Harry whispered, looking into Sauron's eyes without any evasion, "Do you know what happened on the night of the World Cup?"

Sauron narrowed his eyes and nodded, "What do you want to say? I think that's what I did?"

Harry shook his head, not knowing what point he was denying. After a while, he said word by word: "I met someone who called herself Lilith, and she did the things that night."

Sauron didn't say anything, waiting for Harry's next words.

"I saw her, she looked exactly the same as her mother." Harry said, his voice trembling slightly, "I was wondering if she could be..."

Harry didn't finish his words, but he understood the meaning very clearly. He looked at Sauron, his eyes filled with an undetectable expectation.

"Mom is dead," Sauron said coldly, "That night, in order to protect her children, she, Lily Evans, sacrificed her life."

Harry's body shook for a moment, he staggered his eyes with Sauron, looked at the ground with a slight sense of consciousness. After a while, he took a deep breath and said lonely: "Yes, mom is dead."

Harry turned and left, put his hand in his pocket and walked slowly towards the castle. Sauron stood there, looking at his departure back, and whispered to himself: "There is no more Lily in the world, only Lilith is left."
