The Darkness Comes Last Mercy
Chris and others did not spend more time on the two dead policemen, targeting Swan's nephew. They left the two bodies in place and followed Swan into his house.
The lights in the house were turned off, and the dim morning light shone in through the window, but made the room look even darker. Chris raised his gun vigilantly and scandaled around, signaling Swan to turn on the room lights. The switch of the living room light was right next to the door. Swan pushed the switch on, and the warm yellow light illuminated the room, and the few people breathed a sigh of relief.
The room was quiet and there was no sound of people moving. Chris looked around the living room and found nothing unusual.
"Bill, are you here?" Swan shouted, his loud voice sounding a little harsh in the room.
No one responded, and a strange silence appeared in the house, which made several people nervous again.
"You two go upstairs." Swan said to his two men, "Be careful."
The two policemen looked at each other, walked towards the stairs on the left side of the living room, and walked to the side of the stairs. A policeman suddenly stopped, "Head, the ground is full of water."
Water flowed out from a crack in the door opposite the stairs. The living room was covered with brown floors. Under the light, the water on the ground was not obvious. It was not until the policeman stepped on it.
"This is the bathroom," Swan muttered, reaching out to open the door. Chris pulled him, raised his pistol and signaled the few people to be on guard.
Swan opened the door, the lights in the bathroom were on, and the white fluorescent lights made a slight buzzing sound, and water came out of the bathtub against the wall, flowing all over the ground. Chris had a bad premonition, and he walked over slowly, and what he saw in front of him made him sigh - he found Bill, and he soaked his face upwards in the bathtub, motionless, and his muddy eyes were wide open, revealing unwillingness and fear, making his pale face look twisted and ferocious.
"Oh, damn." Swan glanced at his nephew and said fiercely. He turned his head to look at Chris, his face full of anger, "Who, who killed Bill."
Chris shook his head without saying a word. He looked at Swann, looking at his face that was flushed with anger and the corpse behind him, and felt a little revenge comfort in his heart.
"It's all because of you, it's all because of you," Swan shouted in a rough voice, pointing at Chris, "Since you're hitting you, there's nothing good."
"He deserves it." Chris said coldly, "You know what he did."
Swan had nothing to say. He glared at Chris angrily. The two policemen who came with him looked at the confrontation and chose to remain silent. Swan covered his nephew's evil deeds, but the police still knew some inside information to a greater or lesser extent. Although no one had thought of giving justice to Shirley, there was still some sympathy.
Several people didn't say anything for a moment. Chris ignored Swan's anger and frowned and thought about what happened next - Bill was dead. Does this mean that the thing dormant on Shirley had succeeded? Chris didn't dare to think about it. He was clueless now. The anxiety and frustration made him up, and even the buzzing noise from the fluorescent tube made him feel extremely noisy. He heard the sound of water splashing on the ground, and he looked up subconsciously. At that moment, what he saw made him stunned - "Bill" who was originally soaked in the water stood up, with a pale and swollen face and lifeless in his gray eyes.
"Be careful behind you!" Chris reacted and shouted loudly at Swann, his intuition aware of the danger of "Bill", but he did not raise his pistol because he didn't want the three policemen to misunderstand and shoot him.
Chris's words made the two policemen on the side notice this strange scene, and they all subconsciously raised their guns, while Swan, who was facing away from the bathhouse, looked back.
Everything happened in an instant, "Bill" rushed towards the unprepared Swan, hugged him, and then bit his neck hard and started to tear it.
"Ah!" Swan howled, trying to push "Bill" away in horror, but it seemed futile. "Bill" bit him frantically, and before the other three could react, they suddenly pulled a large piece of flesh and blood off Swan's neck.
Swan stared in horror, opened his mouth and made a "hehe" sound, and fell to the ground weakly - his neck was almost half broken, and the trachea and pink and white connective tissue were exposed to the air through the huge wound, and blood was gushing out quickly, and it was obvious that his carotid artery was torn off.
Chris was shocked. Even though he had experienced a lot like this, he was inevitably frightened when facing such a strange and bloody scene. "Bill" stood there and slowly raised his head. The grayish-white eyes stared straight at Chris, and the blood-stained corners of his mouth strangely pulled out a hideous smile.
"Damn!" A policeman shouted in horror. The terrifying scene in front of him broke down. He raised his pistol and shot "Bill". At such a short distance, the nine-mm warhead made a hole in his body, and then penetrated into the wall behind him. The huge kinetic energy pushed him against the wall on the side of the bathtub. The policeman pulled the trigger until the bullets in the exhausted magazine did not stop. The sound of the trigger was particularly clear in the sudden quiet environment.
"Enough." Chris reached out and pressed the gun in the policeman's hand. He looked back to the corpse in the bathhouse. The black and red blood oozed out through the bullet holes, dyeing the water in the bathhouse into a strange color.
"Is it dead?" another policeman said tremblingly, "What's going on with this?"
"I don't know." Chris whispered. He looked at Swan who was lying on the ground. Blood was still flowing out of the wound on his neck, dyeing a large area of watery ground red. Based on experience, Chris knew he was helpless, but hesitated for a moment and said, "We have to send Swan to the hospital first."
The two policemen looked at each other, walked towards Swan, bent down and was about to drag him away, when Chris noticed that the water surface of the bathhouse fluctuated for a while. Chris did not hesitate and stepped forward and grabbed the collars of the two policemen and dragged them back. The next moment, Bill's body, which had been knocked out of the bathhouse, suddenly turned out from the bathhouse and pounced on the ground beside Swan. It raised its head, staring at Chris and the other two with strange and dead eyes, slowly crawling towards them.
"Go to die." Chris raised his pistol and fired without hesitation. The bullet penetrated into the corpse's head and lifted a large piece of skull and brain tissue away. But to Chris' surprise, Bill's body just paused for a moment and crawled slowly. It raised the remaining half of its head, and its incomplete face looked weird and ferocious.
"F**K." Chris couldn't help cursing. He stepped forward and kicked the remaining half of the body's face. The huge force almost shattered the remaining head. The zombie was kicked out and slid along the slippery ground to the corner of the wall. Chris grabbed Swan's collar and dragged him to the bathroom door.
"Let's go." Chris shouted to the two policemen. He saw Bill's body moving again, and he really had no choice but to use this ghost thing.
Even if Chris didn't say this, the two guys would have done this. This strange and terrifying scene had already broken them. The three of them dragged Swan and left the bathroom. Chris glanced at the corpse that was still crawling, closed the door fiercely, and then pulled over the table beside to hold the door.
Chris took a deep breath. He was very confused now and didn't know what to do next. What just happened was obviously related to the thing dormant on Shirley. Now the two murderers who hurt Shirley are dead, and Shirley is still missing. Although Chris is unwilling to admit it, he knows that everything is moving towards the worst direction, and he is powerless.
"You can't do anything, Chris." A voice suddenly said, looking particularly clear in the quiet room, which scared the three of them. Chris raised his pistol toward the direction of the sound. In the middle of the living room, a girl in red dress stood there quietly, staring at Chris.
She had a beautiful and delicate face, and could vaguely see Shirley's shadow, looking like Shirley's appearance when she grew up. In her eyes, the dark golden pupils were like a knife. She was wearing a red long skirt and her long hair was softly draped behind her. She looked strange and cold, and a beautiful black bird squatted on her shoulders, and the feathers on her body shone with a metallic luster.
"Give up, the farther you run, the better." The girl said, with a cruel smile in her cold voice, "This is my gift and my last mercy."
"Sherry, is it you?" Chris stared at her nervously and said slowly.
The girl did not answer, but just sneered in a low voice. The laughter did not come from her mouth, but came from all directions, as if there were many people around who could not see laughing together, making people feel chilled all over.
"Ah!" A policeman shouted and shot at her, but strangely, the bullet passed through her, as if through a cloud of nothingness. The girl glanced at the policeman and showed a cold and ferocious smile. Without seeing her move, the policeman who shot struggled and floated up, and then turned into a pile of minced meat and fell on the ground with blood.
This bloody scene broke the other policeman. He took two steps back in horror, then turned around and ran towards the door. At this time, the bird on the girl's shoulder flapped its wings and flew up. The long black tail was like a gorgeous tassel. It rushed towards the policeman, revealing finger claws like blades. The policeman had just run out of the door, and the next moment, he was instantly grabbed through the skull by his sharp claws. The whole person was picked up and brought into the air. Chris heard his painful howl getting farther and farther away, and then stopped abruptly.
Chris was attracted by the two policemen who died tragically. When he turned around, he found that the girl had disappeared and seemed to have never appeared before.
"Damn it!" Chris said angrily. He glanced at the pile of minced meat on the ground, then looked at Swan who was lying on the side. The wound was no longer blood flowing out. It was obvious that he was completely dead. Chris found the car key from Swan and decided to return to the police station to meet with Claire and the others. He called Claire with his mobile phone, but it was impossible to connect. He could only hear the rustling sound like white noise. It was obvious that something was disturbing the signal. A strong sense of uneasiness surged in Chris' heart, as if something was about to happen. He ran towards his car. At this time, he found that the sky became extremely dark, and the thick clouds covered the sky, gloomy as if late at night. In the direction of the town center, the clouds were extremely dense, forming a funnel shape, and the gloomy clouds rolled, as if something was raising it.
