Chapter 39 Sauron's Secret(1/2)

Section 1

Seeing Bogt transform into a doomsday image, the students present were not only shocked but also more confused. It was difficult for them to understand the connection between this image and Sauron. Only Draco, who thought about the black dragon's golden eyes.

Sauron stared at the illusion quietly, motionless, like a statue. Some inexplicable pressure spread from Sauron, becoming stronger and stronger. Soon, the pressure as deep as a sea of abyss made the Slytherins present difficult to breathe, and even Lupin, who was beside him, looked serious.

In an instant, the pressure suddenly disappeared, as if it had never appeared again. All Slytherins breathed a sigh of relief, and the eyes that looked at Sauron were filled with awe. Boggart's changing image began to collapse, turning into a ball of restless mist, and then, in an instant, turned into nothingness in a black flame.

Sauron closed his eyes and murmured to himself.

"As sure, am I afraid too, but-" The next moment, he opened his eyes, and his cold eyes were arrogant, staring at the void, "--even if I am afraid, so what? I have no choice but to fate, and fate can't do anything to me!"

"Sorry, Professor Lupin." Sauron turned to look at Lupin with a complicated expression and said calmly, "It seems that I accidentally killed Boggot."

The black magic defense class ended in a weird atmosphere. Although most Slytherins didn't know what the illusion of Boggart's change meant, the power that Sauron inadvertently showed was enough to understand the power of the new leader more deeply.

Late at night, the Slytherin common room was sitting next to several sofas around the fireplace. Soren, Ibicos and others sat next to each other.

"I know your confusion." Sauron said lightly, "It's hard for you to understand that fear without that kind of experience."

Ibikos and Drake frowned, while Isabella was a little worried. Sauron glanced at the few people and continued to say calmly.

"That is a desire that comes from the depths of the soul." Sauron narrowed his eyes. "The moment he ignites the soul with the fire of origin, that desire will emerge without reservation, drown out human reason. The desire is so strong that it is almost uncontrollable. Just like you know that it is an endless abyss, but you can't control yourself and want to fall into it."

"What kind of desire is that?" Ibikos asked. Soren glanced at him and took a deep breath.

"The power of the original fire is powerful and dangerous." Sauron closed his eyes, and he stretched out his hand, a ball of black flame floating above his hand, burning faintly. "It can burn everything, including the soul, not only the enemy, but also the self..."

Several people took a breath of air conditioning.

"At the moment when the Origin Fire ignites the soul, endless power will emerge. The pleasure of controlling everything will make people lose it, and it will make people have an impulse - to abandon everything and let the Origin Fire ignite the soul completely."

"What if that happens?" Isabella asked.

"That way, you will have supreme power..." Sauron sighed, "The fire of origin comes from the rules of this world. If the entire soul is ignited, you will become part of the rules, have unrivaled power, as immortal as this world. In other words, that is—"

"God?" Draco asked uncertainly.

Sauron hesitated for a moment and nodded slowly, "But at the cost, you will forget everything and lose everything, becoming a puppet bound by rules, but the saddest thing is that you will not lose emotions alone - allowing you to feel endless emptiness, sadness and loneliness. When you are tortured by these emotions and are almost collapsed, you will find that you have lost the right to choose death and to become nothingness."

"Your Highness, you..." Isabella asked worriedly, "How did you do it?"

"I refused," Sauron said in a very plain manner, as if he was talking about a trivial matter, "I suppressed the fire of the origin and kept my heart." Sauron looked at the three people who were thinking, and paused, "I told you all this, just to tell you that those who can't even keep their hearts are not worthy of having strength, especially you, Isabella, don't lose yourself."

After saying all this, Sauron stood up, ignored the three people in contemplation, and went straight back to his room.

After a long time, Ibikos came back from his thoughts and sighed leisurely.

"What we just heard is the most important secret of Your Highness." He glanced at Drake and Isabella. "If we betray Your Highness in the future, if we think of His Highness's character, we will definitely die."

Section 2

What happened in the Dark Magic Defense Art Class did not spread, and for some reasons, the Slytherins were all silent to the outside world.

The conflict between Hermione and Ron became increasingly intensified. Hermione's pet cat Crucker Mountain showed great interest in Ron's mouse spots, which made Ron very uneasy. The two had already argued several times about this, which made Harry, who was sandwiched in the middle, very embarrassed.

Draco's plan to establish prestige within Slytherin went well, especially after Soren and Ibikos vaguely showed their support for him. As for Isabella, she seemed to prefer to follow Soren, like a shadow.

Halloween is coming, and Harry seems a little depressed. Soren knows the reason - third-grade students can go to Hogsmeade Village on Halloween, provided that the guardian signs the application form, but Harry, who lives in Dursley's house, obviously did not get the signature.

"Do you think if I asked Professor McGonagall to sign for me, she would agree?" Harry asked uncertainly.

"What do you think?" Sauron replied lightly.

Harry was stunned for a moment, shook his head, and said dejectedly: "I guess the only two of us can't go in the entire third grade."

On the morning of Halloween Eve, Harry woke up with everyone and went downstairs to have breakfast. He was in a very bad mood, but on the surface he tried to pretend as usual.

"We will bring you a lot of candy from the Honey Duke." Hermione said, feeling extremely sad for him.

"Yeah, bring a lot of it," said Ron. As Harry was feeling down, he and Hermione finally forgot about their argument about Crook Hill.

"Don't worry about me, I'll stay with Sauron, it won't be too boring," said Harry, hoping he would say casually. "Meet at dinner. Have fun."

Harry accompanied them to the vestibule, and the custodian Filch stood inside the gate, holding a long list of checks at a person, looking at everyone's face suspiciously, guarding against anyone who shouldn't go out. Harry glanced at Filch helplessly, walked up the marble staircase alone, walked through the corridor where no one was walking around, and returned to the Gryffindor Tower. Although Sauron said he could go to the library to find him, he felt that if the two of them were the only ones in the library, he might be even more lonely.

"Corresponse?" asked the fat lady, who had just woken up from a nap.

"The lucky star shines." Harry said listlessly.

The portrait opened, and he climbed into the hole and entered the common room. There were students from grade one and two, chatting and laughing. A few older students obviously had been to Hogsmeade many times and had no new feelings about it.

"Harry! Harry! Hello, Harry!" This is Colin Clivie, a sophomore student, who admires Harry very much. He never lets go if he has the opportunity to talk to Harry. "You don't go to Hogsmeade, right, Harry? Why not go? Hey-" Colin looked around his classmates eagerly, "Come and sit with us if you want, okay?"

"Oh-no, thank you, Colin." Harry said, not wanting to let a bunch of people look at the scars on his forehead. "I-I have to go to the library, I have made an appointment with my brother." After saying this, he had no choice but to turn back and go out of the hole in the portrait.

"Why do you keep awake?" After he walked away, the fat lady shouted after him. Harry walked listlessly to the library, but halfway through, someone in a room greeted him: "Harry?"

Harry turned around to see who it was, and saw Professor Lupin, looking around at the door of his office.

"What are you doing?" Lupin asked, his tone of gentleness, "Where is Ron and Hermione?"

"Hogsmeade," said Harry, trying to speak casually.

"Ah," Lupin said. He looked at Harry for a while. "Why don't you come in? I just received the Grindillo for our next lesson."

"What?" Harry asked. He followed Lupin into the office. In the corner of the office was a large water tank, a small pointed horn, and the sick green guy pressed his face against the glass. It grimaced and kept stretching out his slender claws.

"The Water Monster," Lupin said, looking at Grindello thoughtfully, "It shouldn't be very difficult for us to deal with it, after all, we have Kaba. The secret is to destroy its tight grip. Have you noticed that abnormally grown claws? Strong, but fragile."

Grindello bared his green teeth and buried himself in a mess of water plants in the corner of the tank.

"Do you have a cup of tea?" Lupin said, looking for a kettle everywhere, "I was thinking about making a cup just now."

"Okay." Harry said awkwardly.

Lupin tapped the kettle with his magic wand, and a steam suddenly spurted out of the spout.

"Sit down," Lupin said, uncovering the lid of the trash can, "I only have a bag of tea, I'm afraid - but I dare say you're already annoyed enough with tea, right?"

Harry looked at him. Lupin's eyes were shining.

"How did you know about this?" Harry asked.

"Professor McGonagall told me," Lupin said, handing Harry a cup of tea, with a gap in the cup. "Are you afraid, are you afraid?"

"No." Harry said.

The two of them didn't say anything for a while. After a while, Harry hesitated, "Do you remember the day we dealt with Boggart?"

"Remember," Lupin said slowly.

"Why don't you let me fight Boggot?"

Lupin raised his eyebrows, "I thought the reason was obvious, Harry." He said, with surprise in his voice.

Harry thought Lupin would not admit this, so he was shocked, "Why?" he asked again.

"Okay," Lupin said, frowning slightly, "I thought if Bogette faced you, he would appear in the image of Voldemort."

Harry glared, not only did he not expect such an answer, but Lupin also said Voldemort's name. Except for himself, only Dumbledore and Sauron had said this name loudly.

"Obviously, I was wrong," Lupin said, still frowning at Harry, "but I don't think it's a good idea to show up in the teacher's lounge. I think everyone will be scared."

"The first thing I thought of was Voldemort," Harry said honestly, "but, then I-I remembered those dementors."

"I get it," Lupin said in contemplation, "Well, I have an impression."

Harry showed a surprised expression on his face, and Lupin smiled slightly. "This shows that the thing you fear the most is fear. Very smart, Harry."

Harry didn't know what to say about this job, so he had to go to have tea.

"Then you kept thinking that I don't believe you can fight Boggot?" Lupin asked smartly.

"Well...yes," said Harry, who suddenly felt much happier. "By the way, Professor Lupin, what has my brother's Boggart become?"

Lupin hesitated for a moment, and he looked at Harry, "Perhaps, you should ask Soren yourself, maybe he will tell you."

Harry didn't quite understand Lupin's words, "Is there any difference? Or-"

Someone knocked on the door and Harry's words were interrupted. "Come in." Lupin said loudly.

The door opened, which surprised Harry. Snape walked in. Next, it was Sauron, followed by Isabella. Snape was holding a goblet in his hand, steaming slightly. When he saw Harry, he stopped and narrowed his dark eyes.

"Ah, Severus, and you, Sauron and Miss Nemosis," Lupin said with a smile, "Thank you, Severus. Can you put it on the desk?"

Snape lowered the still steaming cup, and he looked at Sauron coldly, then moved back and forth between Harry and Lupin.

"Hello, Professor Lupin." Sauron said politely, and Isabella said so. Sauron looked at Harry, "I'm still looking for you, so you are here."

"I'm asking Harry to see my Grindillo." Lupin said happily, pointing to the tank.

"It's fascinating," Snape said, but didn't look there, "you should drink it straight, Lupin."

"Yes, yes, I'll drink it," Lupin said.

"I've made a full pot," said Snape, "if you want it."

"I'll probably have a little more drink tomorrow. Thanks, Severus."

"Don't be polite," said Snape, but there was a look in his eyes that Harry was unhappy to see. When Snape exited the room, he had no smile on his face and looked alert. Harry looked at the goblet curiously, and Lupin smiled.

"Professor Snape kindly prepared a dose for me," he said. "I have never been very good at preparing a dose, and this dose is very complicated." He picked up his goblet and sniffed it. "It's a pity that I can't put sugar." He added another sentence, took a sip, and started to shake.
