Chapter 31 Cover Up
"Yes, he's fine." Mizny thanked Dr. Connors for his concern and said, "My father is now working as a driver for Mr. Tony of Stark Industries."
Dr. Connors laughed and said with emotion: "I really didn't expect that Hogan Jon Favreau, the best mathematician among our old classmates, actually became a driver. Is he driving Mr. Tony using algebra or two-dimensional equations?"
Imil was stunned. He pulled Mizny's clothes and whispered: "You have never told me, you have a father who is a driver for Iron Man!"
Mizny spread his hands, both answering Dr. Connors and explaining to Imir: "This may be my father's special hobby..." He was a little embarrassed and repeated: "Well, special hobby..."
He grinded his teeth and said to Emire: "Do you think it's a brilliant thing to be a father to an advanced mathematics expert who likes to be a driver for others?"
Imil was stunned, as if it was indeed the case: "But... that's Iron Man, Tony Stark..."
"So what, I don't think there is any difference." Mizny was dejected. If he was half as smart as his father, then he wouldn't have to go to seminary when applying for Columbia University, but had already filled in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences that he liked.
You should know that Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is the third engineering school in American history and the second oldest engineering school in New York. Its majors such as applied mathematics, biomedical engineering and computer science are considered one of the best in the United States, and the majors of financial engineering are considered to be among the top three in the world.
Among the faculty and alumni of Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applications, a total of 10 Nobel Prize winners have been born.
This is the ideal major that Mizni thinks is the most suitable for him.
"It doesn't matter, don't be upset. We were also surprised when we knew Hogan's choice. But we can believe that Mr. Tony Stark is not a fool. He will arrange the right environment for your father."
Dr. Connors patted Mizny on the shoulder and said, "If you need anything, you can come to me anytime, and I'm happy to help you!"
"Well, thank you, Dr. Conners." Mizny seemed to suddenly remember something and immediately spoke: "By the way, Dr. Conners, you are the authoritative in studying DNA recombination and mutations in reptile organisms, right?"
Dr. Connors smiled and said, "No, I dare not claim to be an authority."
He asked with some confusion: "What's wrong with asking this?"
Mizny was excited and nodded suddenly: "Yes, yes, Dr. Connors, have you heard of the lizard men in the sewer?"
Dr. Connors's face changed, and he asked with some alertness: "Lizardman?"
Imil also raised his ears, and his eyes looked up and down at Dr. Connors, as if he could see a piece of lizard man scale from his body. Mizny said: "Some people say that lizard man survives in the sewers in New York City. Several newspapers are reporting that there is a huge lizard man in the subway passage."
"In New York City? It's impossible!" Dr. Connors denied it in a panic: "From the ecological environment and genetics point of view, a huge lizard man has no living space in the city. This kind of story of catching wind and shadow may be just another urban legend."
"Okay, so that's it." Mizny was so frustrated that he even lay down his ears. He said weakly: "I heard that James, the owner of the Horn Daily, issued a reward. The first person to take photos of the Lizardman for the newspaper's evening news will receive a reward of one thousand dollars!"
"Wait a minute, how much US dollars do you say?" Imil suddenly interrupted, obviously Mizny's words made him interested.
"One thousand dollars, but now it seems that the story of this Lizardman may be just a scam."
Dr. Connors said: "Mizny, you're right. This is just a hype technique in the newspaper. Don't continue to be fooled."
It can be seen that Dr. Connors's words were still very important in Mizny's heart. He nodded and walked out to the classroom door in dejectedly: "Thank you, Doctor, I understand."
"Is that so? It's really just an urban legend?" Emire turned around and looked at Dr. Connors carefully without a trace, and his face was covered with cold sweat: "Hehe, if I hadn't seen a movie, I might have been deceived by you."
"Wait for me, Conners, Dr. Lizardman!" Imil imagined a camera in his heart. He might not have much interest in Dr. Lizard, but in order to help his sister subsidize the household expenses, he was full of interest in the one thousand dollars reward issued by the Horn Daily!
Accompanying Mizny from Dr. Connors' classroom, Emier sent Mizny back to school first, and after he separated from Mizny, he used his Yin power to transform himself into an invisible body of a resentful ghost.
He didn't know Dr. Connors' work and rest time, and God knew when he would see him become a lizard man. If he followed Dr. Connors all day and stared at him in boring experiments, then maybe Imil would be so bored that he would give up until he could transform.
But in his mind, Imil knew that as long as he followed Peter Parker, meeting Dr. Lizard would be a natural thing.
Moreover, Imil is more curious about Spider-Man's ordinary day than the rigorous and rigid Dr. Connors.
"It's so unlucky. First, there was something wrong with my spider ability, but now I'm late..."
Peter has been a little worried recently. His spider ability, which has always been experiencing all kinds of skills, will be abnormal from time to time these days. If he suddenly loses the spider ability attached to the wall while flying on the eaves and walls on the high building, the feeling of falling from the sky will definitely be very bad.
He walked out of New York University absent-mindedly without feeling at all. At some point, the temperature around him dropped sharply several degrees, as if a wave of cold wind was accompanying him.
"Late, Peter, what's going on? Did you forget the time when you read comics in the morning?" When Peter was still depressed, a little girl's voice came from behind.
"No, it's Debra Whitman again." Peter was always troubled by this little girl who cared about herself: "I'm not in the mood to listen to your jokes, Debra, I'm not in a good mood today..."
