Chapter 23 Flies

Quinstin originally thought he would never have the chance to meet Emire on the campus of Columbia University, so he even prepared to go to attend Emire's funeral in person. But he never expected that after two days, he would actually meet him again here at the Knights of St. John's Library, which was simply incredible.

Imil looked at Quinstein, his eyes faintly shining with ghost light.

Judging from the original memory reaction in his body, the relationship with Kunstin during his lifetime is definitely not a pleasant memory, but perhaps a humiliation.

Although the consciousness of the body has passed away, since Emire inherited the other person's body, he naturally inherited this resentment. For a resentful ghost, revenge is originally a talent.

Imil raised his eyelids and quickly pretended to be careless and turned away. He took his eyes back and bet on the book "Elegy of the Evil Spirits". In his mind, the name Kunstin had already been in a big red circle. Hehe, it's not too late for a gentleman to take revenge for ten years, but the curse of the evil ghost is always there.

Although Emire doesn't plan to deal with Quinstin now, some people are born to not stop when they see it.

Quinstein sniffed, and he felt that Emire's ignorance of himself had hurt his heart. He was like a clingy little pug, looking around Emire, and finally his eyes were on the book that Emire held in his hand.

He frowned smartly and lowered his voice to warn: "Listen, Imir, I don't know how you got into this Paladin's library. But if I were you, I would put the book back and get out of here quickly!"

Imil was amused, and his eyes turned and asked curiously: "Why?"

Quinstein looked at Emire's expression and confirmed his guess: "Someone made a mistake! Emire, I know you are very popular with Father Terence in school, but obviously, he shouldn't take you here, let alone let you wander around in this library."

He laughed as if mysterious, with an exaggerated look: "You won't understand how great this library is! The collection of books here is not something that a lamb like you should read. If I were you, I would be careful to avoid being hurt by the power you cannot control."

Imil didn't want to pay attention to Qunstin. As he said, the library was filled with mysterious magic energy fluctuations. Imil was not sure whether he would be attacked by the guardian magic if he used the resentful Yin power here.

However, although he maintained his restraint, the more he spoke, the more excited he became. He had no intention of letting Emire go. Looking at Emire's eyes, it was like looking at a little lamb who had accidentally entered the wolf's den: "Tell me, how did you deceive Father Terence and lure him into making mistakes? Emire, don't think I'm exaggerating. Once I inform the janitor here and tell them that you are an illegal entrant, not only you, but even your family will be punished!"

The green light in Emire's eyes suddenly burst out. What he couldn't tolerate was that someone threatened his family. Although in the world he is in now, there are only two people in the family, he and his sister Kathlin.

He couldn't bear it anymore and stood up from the chair. When Quinstin was about to make a good repair as usual, he was shocked by the ghost fire in Emire's eyes.

Imil wanted to use his power to leave a terrifying memory for Quinstin that he would never forget for life, but when he saw Quinstin's cowardly appearance, he sneered.

He felt that it was really a big deal to bully these ordinary people with his own strength.

Moreover, in this library, Emire had a better way to deal with this annoying "fly". Yes, in Emire's eyes, Kunstin was at best just a "buzzing" flies around him, and it was not worth his personal action.

"Guard!" Without waiting for Quinstin to call the janitor, Imil snapped his fingers and shouted softly. The library was originally very quiet, but the fingers were particularly abrupt, so many strange people who were memorizing spells in books interrupted their recitations and couldn't help but turn their angry eyes.

As the janitor of the Knights of St. John's Library, the knight who led Imir to the ground floor hall soon rushed over from the door: "What's going on here?"

When he walked over, his voice was obviously impatient: "You all should know the rules. No matter what the reason, it is absolutely not allowed to disturb others' reading in the Paladin Library, or do you want to be driven out of here and deprive yourself of reading time?"

The janitor was not loud, but it was like a straight line that reached Imil and Quinstin. He had already tested Imil's student card before, and of course he knew that he was already an official member of the Knights of St. John.

Therefore, his main object was still Quintin, and his eyes were also stern when he looked at Quintin: "Qunstin, you know you are just a book servant, why did you make such a big noise?"

Quinstein was crying without tears. It was obvious that Emire snapped his fingers, but for some reason, the janitor instead placed his suspicion on himself.

But even so, Quinstein did not dare to be arrogant in front of the janitor. He quickly bowed and said, "Guardian, I just suspect that I discovered a stowaway who entered the library through improper means, so I want to cross-examine it."

"Huh?" The janitor immediately became alert. The library of the Knights of St. John contained many powerful classics, and it was also the wisdom base for the church's combat power. This place would of course be a place where various hostile forces peeked at.

He nodded, agreed to Qunstin's explanation, and signaled him to continue.

Even though the Langdon family had huge potential power in the secular world, it was a great price to send Quinstin to the Paladin Library as a book servant.

After entering the Paladin Library, as long as you perform well in a few years, you may be attracted by the senior officials of the Knights of St. John. In a short time, you can take the Knights' selection exam, become a member of the Knights, marry the church saint, serve as the guardian Paladin, and reach the peak of your life. Now, when you think about it, Quinstein still feels a little excited.

Yes, he is a man who is destined to become a paladin, so how could he be defeated in front of a small poor man? But now that even the janitor has been alarmed and does not want to come up with a good idea, it seems that he really can't get out of it.
