Chapter 5 Dreams
When he woke up in the morning, Clark did not look good at sleeping. In fact, he did not sleep well. For him, the simple dream he had was terrible. He dreamed of Zod's arrival and he stopped the ending that failed.
Before I came to this world, I was an ordinary person, and I had the same heart as an ordinary person. I also wanted to help people, but I had no strength, so I could only give up. After I came to this world, I had the strength to help people, but I was called Clark Kent, and I was still a Kryptonian survivor. There would be no other Clark, so I was Superman. Superman was a dream when I was a child, but I didn’t feel that kind of excitement when I grew up. My dreams in my early years did not disappear because of this. Everyone had fantasized when they were young that they had the power to be a hero and righteous one day.
With the TV in the room, Clark didn't have to go to the restaurant to learn about the real-time news of the day. After getting up, he turned on the TV to watch the morning news as soon as possible.
"Does the birth of the Fantastic Four mean that humans can obtain superpowers with cosmic rays? We will give us an answer to this question."
The host said that the picture turned to Reed Richards next to him, just like in the movie. If it weren't for knowing that this was not the original earth, Clark would have thought it would be an American talk show.
"My colleagues and I were exposed to cosmic rays, which changed our genes and allowed humans to obtain superpowers through certain channels. This does not mean that we can really rely on cosmic rays to obtain them."
Clark agrees with what Reed Richards said. If he could really rely on cosmic rays, people all over the world are superpowers now.
"Cosmic rays are harmful rays. When our human cells are exposed to cosmic rays, they will die if they are not absorbed. If they are absorbed, they may not have the power, and there is a certain chance of death. Research has found that there is a certain existence in human cells, and there are not many people in the world with it. It can be said that one of the 100,000 people is already very good."
Reed Richards finished what he said, and the picture returned to the host. The host had a hint of regret on his face, "It seems that it is really not a reality to rely on the cosmic vision to obtain superpowers, at least it cannot be possessed in our generation."
When I switched to another program, I played the latest news from last night, and four people wearing space suits and ones wearing masks, hiding their bodies in black windbreakers, confronting the streets. This seemed to be the first time that Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom confronted each other.
Clark frowned slightly. In the movie, Doctor Doom was with Fantastic Four and his group going to space and were illuminated by cosmic rays, causing changes. However, the comics are not. The movie has no connection with the beginning of the comics, which does not mean that there will be no future. No one can really know that the movie does not represent everything. Just like when I watched Fantastic Four in my previous life, people like Iron Man did not reflect the existence of people like Iron Man. When I came to this world, except for Fantastic Four, Marvel superheroes like Iron Man exist, and the movie is not necessarily reliable.
"The apartment where the fire broke out yesterday afternoon was very big. There was a person trapped inside. The firefighters could not enter at all. Strangely, the trapped person appeared in front of a female police officer. This reminded me of the appearance of the Fantastic Four not long ago. Perhaps the person who saved people was also a superpower. Thanks to the appearance of this unknown hero, if it was not him, a life would be gone."
The show is changed to the next one. Regarding the apartment that caught fire yesterday afternoon, the host said nothing wrong. Saving someone is because it is nearby. If you are on the other side of the earth, you can't save yourself at all. Clark is familiar with his ability and limits. The future self may be able to do it, but the newly grown self cannot. The limit can only be in such a large area as a metropolis.
At the end of the morning news, Clark left the room and went out to the aisle to see Mrs. Sally greet her, "Good morning, Mrs. Sally."
"Good morning, are you going to work?"
"yes."
Mrs. Sally said: "Be careful, I heard that there was almost a tragedy in front of the restaurant you worked for. This kind of thing happens often, and I really can't know what will happen in the next second."
"I will pay attention to the car. I am still young and only twenty years old."
The implication of Clark's words was that he would pay attention, and he didn't want to die young. Mrs. Sally nodded, "Just be careful."
She didn't know that Clark was not afraid of vehicle collisions at all. Her body alone was enough to smash 80% of the steel products on the earth to pieces. With her own dynamic ability, no matter how fast the object was, it was slow in front of her. Two points could make Clark ramp up the entire earth. Of course, Clark, who was low-key, would not get angry and really ramp up the earth. The universe where DC and Marvel coexisted is not that simple. Not to mention Superman's enemies, the United States alone had S.H.E.L.D. monitoring the entire United States and even the whole world to prevent superpower incidents from happening and erasing them. The parties involved were either caught or killed.
Although it was a bit exaggerated, Clark believed that the power that S.H.E.L.D. could be destroyed the most, unless it had a stronger power than S.H.E.L.D. Now that the surface of the earth is gradually emerging, only S.H.E.L.D., a super-manager and mutant, will not know about other countries. Since the United States has it, other countries will naturally not have it, but it is not as high-profile as the United States.
Clark thought of a possibility that since this universe is a coexisting universe between DC and Marvel, the Justice League and the Avengers will definitely be born. The Avengers S.H.E.L.D. may not be very good, but the Justice League and S.H.E.L.D. are not sure about the measures taken by Justice League. If the two fight, Justice League still has the greatest chance of winning.
Clark told himself not to think about superheroes, but his mind always comes to superheroes, especially DC superheroes, with an opponent hidden in his mind - Batman. I have read the comics and learned about the life of this dark hero. Compared to being in comics, meeting him in reality is real.
